Chapter 43 - The End of the Dark Sphere

Brielle did not like the look in Kaleigh's eyes, and she was still confused about the other women who had shown up with Celeste. Brille felt fear in her body that froze her in place. If Kaleigh had the stone on her, she could kill her and the entire coven. With Brielle being in her natural form, it would be an even easier task for the Emerald Stone witch.

"You can't end me. I am the one who rules all." Brielle tried to sound more confident than she felt.

"You are wrong, Brielle. I am going to let you in on a little secret. While you and I have been in here having play time, my friends here have been outside guarding my stone. I wore a decoy on purpose to break you down. Once you were back in your nightmarish form, I knew I could kill you and end the Dark Sphere." Brielle looked at the three women trying to figure out which one had the stone and could she get it from her.

"You are a fool. I can still get the stone and kill you all." Kaleigh laughed at Brielle as she saw her trying to figure out who was hiding the sacred stone.

"No, Brielle, you are a fool and a disgrace to witches everywhere. While you have been trying to figure you who has the stone, it was returned to me." Kaleigh pointed to the necklace around her neck that wasn't there before.

Brielle glanced at the necklace, and it looked exactly like the one she had ripped off the young witch's neck earlier. Brielle was confused; how could Kaleigh do all of these things right under her nose. Witchcraft took work, but Kaleigh's power was something special, and it angered Brielle even more.

"I can still get that stone, Kaleigh. Even though I look like this, my magic is still good." Brielle was getting ready to start a spell to bind them all when Kaleigh laughed.

Brielle looked in disbelief as the charm around Kaleigh's neck, and her eyes both started glowing bright green. Brielle had never seen anything like it. Then it hit her, Kaleigh was not only a witch from Emerald Stone, but her wolf must also be magic. That is the only way they have been able to overpower her repeatedly.

Brielle felt genuine fear now. She had heard of wolves that knew the knowledge of both pure and black magic; these wolves were unbeatable. Brielle tried to figure out an escape, but her body felt like it was stuck in concrete when she tried to move. Brielle knew that she was going to die because she could not even use her magic.

"Brielle, watching your face has been quite the comical experience. I assume you now realize that not only am I a witch, but my wolf is also magic. She has been doing most of the spells while we've been down here with you. As fun as this has been to slowly watch your demise, it's time for it to end. When you die, all Dark Sphere witches will turn into ash." Brielle could feel the heaviness becoming almost unbearable, holding her in place. She looked at Celeste, hoping she would do something.

"Celeste, you idiot, why are you letting this witch do this to us? You will die too when she is done. Why are you just standing there?" Brielle tried to scream at Celeste, but it was getting harder for her to talk.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Brielle, I forgot to let you in on another secret. You see, when Celeste found me, she asked me to allow her to talk. We had a friendly chat and came to an understanding. Celeste is not evil like you and the other witches of your coven. She has a good heart, and she has no longer been under your power from the moment she agreed to take our side. When Dark Sphere ends, Celeste will be the one to survive. I also promised to turn her into her proper form. As you know, with Celeste being good on the inside, she will most likely be beautiful on the outside. Unlike you and the rest in your coven." Kaleigh almost laughed again when she saw Brielle look between her and Celeste with pure outrage.

"How could you turn on us, you ungrateful good for nothing bitch? I let you be my assistant, and I didn't kill you like I did the others. Even with your disgusting looks, I allowed you to be in my presence. This is how you repay me? You will let her kill the only family you have ever known?" Brielle was still hoping to get through to Celeste and make her help get them out of this situation.

Celeste had enough of Brielle calling her names and putting her down. She walked over to where Brielle was standing and slapped her hard across the face. Brielle looked at her in shock from the slap's sting she felt on her face. She thought Celeste was weak.

"You are done putting me down and abusing me, Brielle. Kaleigh has shown me nothing but kindness, and I stand by her. I never wanted to be part of your evil ways, but I knew you would kill me if I left. You disgust me, Brielle, and I hope when you meet the devil, he makes you burn for eternity." Celeste spat on Brielle's face and walked back next to the other three women.

"Brielle, I'm sure you can feel the heaviness taking over your body. Soon it will be too much, and you will be a lump of stone. Once you have turned entirely, one touch from me and you will be nothing but ash. I will then burn your ashes with a magical flame that will reach all of the Dark Sphere witches. They will immediately turn to ash and disappear once and for all, ending the Dark Sphere. No one will ever have to suffer at your hands again." Kaleigh walked around Brielle, waiting for the stone to finish taking over. Brielle had noticed she was feeling heavy but had she looked down, she would've seen the bottom half of her body was already stone.

Allie, Mollie, and Felicia watched the entire scene in silence with a bit of fear. They could all feel the power coming off of Kaleigh, and it scared them a little. With her eyes glowing and her features changing, she was like something they'd never seen before. Felicia had witnessed this side of Kaleigh, but even she was just as stunned as she had been the first time.

Celest was speechless as well. She'd been around powerful witches her entire life, but they did not compare to Kaleigh. She was in a category all by herself, and Celeste was proud that she could call her a friend. She would never regret choosing the side of good over evil.

"I will come back as something that you don't recognize. Mark my words, I will be back." Brielle's last words were muffled as the stone moved up to cover her head. She was now fully stone and looked as though she were an ugly statue.

Kaleigh reached over with her eyes and stone glowing brighter than ever and touched the Brielle statue. Before everyone's eyes, where there once was a stone witch, there was now nothing but a pile of ash. Kaleigh took her hand and blew a green flame onto the ashes. The ashes burned bright, but there was no heat coming from the fire; it actually made the cave feel cooler than it already was.

Celeste felt something inside of her heating up, and she thought for a minute that she would die with the rest of her coven. The heat slowly moved from the top of her head, down her body to her feet. Just as quickly as it had started, it was finished. Celeste didn't know what had happened until she heard Allie gasp.

"Celeste, you are gorgeous." Celeste turned toward Allie, looking at her in confusion. Allie, Mollie and Felicia were all staring at Celeste with wide eyes. Celeste still didn't understand until Kaleigh walked up next to her.

"Celeste, because you have a good heart, you have been healed from the disfigurements from before. Take a look." Kaleigh snapped her fingers, and in her hand, she held a mirror. Celeste couldn't believe that the face looking back at her was her own.

Celeste now had long chestnut brown hair and dark blue eyes. Her golden tan skin was smooth with no scars. Celeste looked down at the rest of her body, and everything was as it should be. Her arms and legs were now normal, with no disfigurements in sight. When she looked back at her face, she got tears in her eyes. Celeste looked like she was twenty-something and nothing of her formal looks remained.

"Kaleigh, I can never thank you enough. I was hoping to just look normal, but I never thought I would be pretty." Celeste kept running her fingers through her long thick hair in disbelief.

"Celeste, I told you that your outside appearance would resemble how you are on the inside. You have a beautiful soul Celeste, and now you are beautiful. You're still a witch, but you must only practice pure magic, or you will turn to ash like those of Dark Sphere." Kaleigh smiled at Celeste as she cried.

"I would never go back to black magic; I want to be good." Kaleigh gave Celeste a hug and then turned to her friends.

"I don't know about you guys, but I am ready to get back home." They all three nodded, still unable to talk after everything they had witnessed. Kaleigh said a few words, and all five of them were suddenly standing in the forest not far from the packhouse. Kaleigh had one thought in her mind, she had to see Dominick.
