Chapter 7 - Kiss Me

"Dominick, you can shift back. You will have your shorts on when you shift." Kaleigh spoke softly. Dominick shifted back, and just like Kaleigh had said, he had his shorts on that he left near the tree by the packhouse.

"How is that possible for us to have our clothes on when we shift?" Dominick had never seen such a thing.

"I put a spell on myself when I first started shifting. I didn't like not having clothes on when I shifted. When I realized that you were following me, I put a spell on you so you would have your clothes on too. I figured it would be hard for us to talk if you stayed in your wolf form." Kaleigh looked over at him lying next to her and smiled. They were lying close but not touching.

"That's amazing, thank you. What are you doing out here so late?" Dominick reached over and took her hand in his. He couldn't stand being this close to her and not touching her. Kaleigh didn't pull back but rather wrapped her fingers around his tightly.

"I couldn't sleep, so I let Skylar out for a run. Sorry, she jumped on you. She was getting playful and flirting with your wolf. What is your wolf's name?" Kaleigh was thinking of the big grey wolf that she had seen. It was a magnificent animal, and Skylar was smitten with him already.

"His name is Ash. She shocked him, but he loved the chase. Your wolf is beautiful. I've never seen one with that type of coloring. What does your wolf think about us?" Dominick hoped that her wolf told her they should be with their mate. He heard Kaleigh sigh softly next to him.

"She wants me to trust you and thinks we will be protected by moving to your pack. Can you tell me about your pack? All I know is that your pack is warriors. You are next in line to be Alpha, and Lenny will be your Beta." Kaleigh turned on her side to face him while still holding on to his hand. He turned on his side as well.

"You're right. We're a warrior pack, one of the best in this part of the country. White Raven is not as close to humans as your pack is, but that's because of how remote our location is. Our packhouse is big and looks like a massive cabin from the outside. The inside is more modern and not as cabin-like. It's about three times the size of your packhouse. Most pack members have smaller cabins throughout our territory, but those who want jobs with humans live closer to the towns in the area rather than on pack lands. My dad is the current Alpha; his name is Dillon, and my mom's name is Alannah. I have a younger sister, she is sixteen, her name is Felicia. We all work hard in our pack regardless of our rank or title. I told my parents about you, but not everything. I just told them that I had met my mate and I would be staying here a little longer so we could get to know each other. If you decide to go back to my pack with me, I figured we can tell them everything else together. My parents may have some ideas about how to help. We also have a witch in our pack." Kaleigh was listening to him talk softly about his pack and enjoying the sound of his deep voice. It was like a warm, soft blanket covered her when he spoke. The last part about his pack having a witch caught her attention.

"What type of witch does your pack have?" Kaleigh was a little nervous. What if the witch was from Dark Sphere?

"She practices pure magic. You'll meet her if you come back to my pack with me. I'm sure you'll get along." Dominick said the last part smugly, making Kaleigh think he was hiding something from her, but she didn't ask.

Skylar was jumping around in her head, telling her she told her their mate could protect them, especially if there was another witch to help them. Kaleigh felt her heart warming up, and keeping her eyes on Dominick's, she moved closer to him, so they were just inches apart. He moved slightly to slide one arm under her head and the other he put over her waist. He pulled her up against him, so her head rested on his shoulder.

Their bodies were now entirely against each other, and they both felt the sparks flying between them. Kaleigh didn't resist. This felt too good. She wrapped her arm around him as well to hold him close. He was shirtless, so she could feel his warm skin and hard muscles.

Kaleigh had never laid with anyone like this. She had never even been kissed, but she wanted Dominick to kiss her. For now, she would just enjoy lying in the safety of his arms, feeling more protected than she had in her whole life.

Dominick couldn't believe it when Kaleigh moved closer to him. He felt her relax in his embrace, and he smiled to himself. Maybe this will all work out. Dominick enjoyed how she made him feel alive. He would do anything for this woman and fight any evil that tries to take her away from him.

Dominick looked down at her full beautiful mouth and wanted to kiss her. He imagined running his tongue over them before tasting her mouth. He was worried it would scare her away, so instead, he leaned over and kissed her forehead. Kaleigh looked up at him and smiled.

"Dominick, I need to tell you something. I'm a virgin. I have never even been kissed by anyone." Kaleigh looked down in shame. What if not having any experience changed how he felt about her? She felt him lift her face to look into his beautiful golden-brown eyes.

"Kaleigh, I'm glad you've never kissed anyone or been with anyone else. If you decide to be with me, I will be your first everything. I'm not a virgin, but I've only had sex with two other girls. They were years ago when I was younger, but honestly, they repulsed Ash and me so much that we decided to wait for our mate." He saw Kaleigh smile up at him shyly. "How old are you, Kaleigh?"

"I'm nineteen. How old are you?"

"Twenty-three. I have been looking for you for five long and lonely years. I really hope that you decide you want to be with me." He leaned down to kiss her forehead again.

The moonlight shone down on them, and the cool breeze flowed over them with a slight chill. Once in a while, they would hear the rustle of small animals in the leaves. Kaleigh and Dominick could barely feel the cold wrapped in each other's arms combined with their wolf heat. They were in their own little world with nothing but the wilderness as a witness.

"Dominick, will you kiss me?" He couldn't have been more surprised if she had just asked him to jump in the lake.

"Kaleigh, are you sure? I want your first kiss to be special, and I don't want you to feel like I'm pressuring you. I'm happy just spending time with you until you're ready for more." Kaleigh felt happiness come over her in a way she had never felt before. She reached out and touched the smooth skin of his bare chest, lightly running her fingers over the hard muscles.

Dominick tried hard to control his breathing while Kaleigh ran her fingers over his bare skin. It was incredibly arousing, and he didn't want to scare her off if something started poking her below.

"Let's walk back as humans. It will give me more time to spend with you." Dominick raised Kaleigh's hand up and kissed the back of it.

They walked back in silence, lost in their thoughts. Kaleigh was weighing the pros and cons of accepting him as her mate.

Dominick was doing everything in his power not to kiss her again. He knew she wouldn't resist, and if she started getting aroused, he didn't know if he would try to stop her. Dominick wanted to go through with their plans, but his desire for her grew the more he touched her. They were back at the packhouse, but neither of them was in a rush to part ways.

"Do you think you can get some sleep now? The sun will be rising in a couple of hours." Dominick didn't want to leave her, but he would never suggest sleeping with her after what happened in the forest.

"I may be able to, but I think I would sleep better if you stayed with me. I promise not to jump you again. You make me feel safe, and I don't want to leave you. Will you sleep with me, Dominick?" She looked up at him, pleading with her big green eyes. How could he say no to that?

"Ok, but no funny business or I may not be able to stop myself." Kaleigh jumped up and put her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek.

"I promise. Thank you." She took his hand and led him to her room. Dominick was still unsure about this, but Ash promised to keep him in check.

They took turns showering in Kaleigh's bathroom. Dominick had run to his room to get a change of clothes while she was in the shower.

Kaleigh plastered herself to Dominick when they finally laid down, wrapping herself around him like a second skin. Dominick sighed, knowing that he would not be getting much sleep with her lying against him like that.
