Chapter 11 - Black Sphere

Tabitha watched in anger as all the rogues she had hired were taken to the dungeons of the Fallen Eagle pack. She thought she was smarter than everyone and would be able to sneak a few rogues into the pack to kidnap the twins. Tabitha has been seeking revenge on those responsible for killing her mother eighteen years ago.

No one knew Brielle had a daughter. She kept that secret so no one would go after Tabitha. Brielle had taught Tabitha everything she knew about being a Dark Sphere witch and their hate for the Emerald Stone witches. The only thing that had protected Tabitha from turning to ash when Kaleigh had ended their coven was that Brielle had Tabitha start a new coven and released her from Dark Sphere.

Brielle knew there was a possibility that the Emerald Stone witches would one day end them, and she explained to Tabitha that she needed to start her own coven of dark magic. That would be the only way for her to survive the spell of the Emerald Stone witches. So Tabitha left the Dark Sphere and started its sister coven, the Black Sphere.

Now Tabitha had a coven of about a hundred witches that she had been gathering for the past thirty years since leaving Dark Sphere. Tabitha was fifty years old, which was still young in witch years. She was built like her mother with a small stature. However, Tabitha still had her own body; she didn't feel the need to take over a human yet. She had long golden-brown hair, eyes that were so dark brown they looked black, and small pixie-like features.

Tabitha was just as determined as her mother to end the Emerald Stone witches for good and take their sacred stones. Now that there were three witches, each with their own stones, her power would be monumental. She slowly faded into the background as the Fallen Eagle Alpha, Beta, and the twins made their way into the dungeon to question the rogues.

She laughed as she left the area without making a sound. The rogues had no idea who or what Tabitha was. She didn't tell them she was a witch or why she wanted the twins. She planned to kidnap them and then use them to get their mother. Tabitha would then take their stones and kill the three witches.

Tabitha was staying in a cave in the mountains of Montana. She didn't need luxury or items of comfort when she was a witch and could use magic for whatever she needed. The cave was many miles from the Fallen Eagle pack, but Tabitha had the power to travel quickly, so it only took her a short time to go back and forth.

She had been watching the twins when they were still at White Raven, and then when they met their mates and moved to Fallen Eagle, Tabitha followed them. She had been trying to figure out the best way to get them because their mates were always around. She could use magic, but she had to be discreet.

If Jasmine and Brandie felt her, they could put a protection spell on the pack blocking her out. Tabitha knew that there was something even more powerful wanting the twins. She had seen the shadowy figures also following them around. Now it was a test of who would get them first.

Tabitha had hoped she could do this with rogues alone and not have to get the rest of the coven involved, but that doesn't seem to be the case. She admitted she was greedy like her mother and wanted all of the power from the sacred stones for herself.

She knew it was time to get busy. Tabitha wanted to get to the twins and their mother before the other forces attempted to get them. Lucky for her, Fallen Eagle was aware that someone was after them, but they had no idea that another witch was also coming.

She walked around the vast cave, thinking about her next plan of action. Tabitha was going to take a section out of her mother's book, but unlike her mother, she would be successful. She would send her witches in to make a sneak attack, freeing Tabitha up to put a spell on the Emerald Stone witches and kidnap them.

Tabitha had watched Jasmine and Brandie practicing their magic in the field. She had laughed when she saw it. They may look like they have a bunch of parlor tricks, but her magic was dark, and she was confident she could overpower them. Tabitha knew it needed to be when they least expected it.

The others followed Tabitha back to her cave. They were aware that she had been watching the twins as long as they had been. The others had seen her around White Raven and again around Fallen Eagle. They had also alerted the being, but he didn't want them to get involved unless she tried something

When they saw she was with the rogues that tried to take the twins, they decided to follow her to see what exactly she was up to. After she was in the cave, they entered but stayed near the opening blending in with the shadows.

As they observed her, she was pacing around the cave angrily. Tabitha was mumbling to herself about kidnapping the Emerald Stone witches. The others knew they needed to report this to the being. He would not be pleased that she had plans for the twins.

The being laughed when he heard that the little witch was planning on taking the twins. She wasn't powerful enough to touch their magic, anyone who understood the power of the Emerald Stone witches knew that. The twins were even more potent because their wolves have power as well.

The being knew that no one else probably had that piece of information, but he wasn't willing to share either. He told the others to continue watching for right now. He would like to see how the pack handles the witch and whatever plans she has for them.

The being told the others to make sure they and the hidden would be able to observe whatever type of fighting came their way. It would help him prepare for their fighting abilities. He wasn't worried about their physical fighting. He wanted to see what they did with their magic when cornered. He laughed loudly, sending chills through every species that shared the space between the worlds with the being. Let the games begin.
