Chapter 4 - The Others

The others moved between the human world and the other worlds humans knew nothing about. They were not humans, shifters, vampires, or witches; they were the others. Some of the supernatural beings had heard about the others, but they didn't really know what they were.

The others could take the shape of anything in the world they happened to be in at the time. They could blend in and be standing next to someone without the person knowing they were there.

Beings from the other worlds often hired the others to spy on those in the human world because they were the only ones able to infiltrate without being noticed. Right now, there are two of the others following the hybrid twins.

They were to let the being who hired them know once the twins were settled in the Fallen Eagle pack and marked by their mates. Once they have been marked, their powers will be stronger and almost ready to be taken.

The being that wanted the twins knew where the witches had made their mistake. You can't just take the stone and draw the power. The power comes from both the stone and the witch it belongs to.

The being needed the witches and their stones so he could dominate all the worlds. The twins were a rare breed, and so were their wolves. The being would take them from their world so he could drain their power and be more powerful than the devil himself.

He laughed as he thought of how he would change everything as every species knew it. The being was not human or animal. He was more like a shadow stuck between two worlds. He could not enter either world entirely, but once he had the twins, he could go wherever he wanted.

When he received confirmation from the others confirmed that the twins had marked their mates and gone through their first heat, it would be time to make a move. He would now wait in the shadows as he has done for centuries.

Jasmine and Brandie were shown into the large packhouse that was very different from any other they had seen. It was not cabin-like but set up more like an old victorian house. It was white with black shutters and was massive in size. The house was four stories high with a large wrap-around deck that had many porch swings and chairs.

Jasmine took Brandie's hand as they were shown inside. Rather than the wide-open floor plan of many packhouses, this one had many rooms with hidden nooks and crannies. Jasmine and Brandie were excited to see something different from what they were used to.

Their mates followed behind the twins with smiles. They were happy to see them so excited about their surroundings. They had both been mindlinked by many pack members congratulating them on finding their mates.

After the girls had been shown the first floor, Aaron and Titus wanted to show them to their bedrooms. They had been happy to follow Alpha Dominick's rules, but now they were ready to sleep with their mates.

When they got to the second floor, Aaron took Jasmine's hand, and Titus took Brandies as they pulled them in opposite directions to their rooms. Aaron hoped that Jasmine liked their room. He wanted her to be happy here and would do anything to make that happen.

"Jasmine, this is our room. If there's anything you want to change in here, you can do whatever you want." Aaron opened the large white door that led to their bedroom, and Jasmine gasped.

There was a giant king-sized bed in the middle of the room. It had royal blue bedding with white accent pillows. There was also a couch facing the large fireplace where Jasmine imagined snuggling with Aaron. As she walked around the room, her smile got bigger and bigger.

"Aaron, this room is magnificent. I like it just the way it is, especially since your scent is all around me like a warm blanket." Jasmine walked into the bathroom and giggled happily. There was a large shower and a giant bathtub.

When Jasmine turned back around to Aaron, she ran into his arms. He sighed with relief at her excitement. He leaned down and took in a deep breath of her scent.

Jasmine pulled back and smiled up at him. She pulled his face down to hers as she wrapped her arms around his neck. They had kissed many times in the past few days, but Jasmine was ready for more.

She pulled him close to her and slid her tongue into his mouth. Aaron wrapped his arms around her and met her tongue with his. Jasmine slid her hands under his shirt and started to pull it off when Aaron stopped her. She looked up at him with hurt in her emerald eyes.

"Jasmine, I'm not saying I don't want to, but I want to do it right for your first time. Right now, rushed in the heat of the moment, it won't be right. Please let's wait until tonight after dinner so I can take my time and show you how much I want you." Aaron kissed her softly before she could answer.

"Alright, Aaron, but I'm only willing to wait until tonight." Jasmine was still a little hurt. However, if he wanted to wait so he could do it right then, she would wait. That made her think of something she hadn't asked before.

"Aaron, how many women have you been with? You know that I'm a virgin, but what about you?" Jasmine held her breath, hoping there wouldn't be many of them. She felt jealous at the thought of him having sex with another woman.

"I have only been with one other Jasmine. She was my girlfriend in high school. She had thought she would be my mate, but when she turned eighteen, she mated with someone from another pack. After she left, I decided I would wait for my mate. It seemed pointless to be with one person after another if they aren't the one you're meant to be with." Aaron blushed a little at his confession.

Many people in the pack assumed that because he was Alpha and hadn't found his mate, he was sleeping with some of the omegas. The truth was that Aaron didn't want meaningless sex with different girls. Jax hadn't wanted that either. The scent of others disgusted him.

Jasmine couldn't contain her grin. She had been worried with his good looks, and being Alpha, he had been with many girls.

"Aaron, if you could wait all that time for me, I can wait until tonight for you." Aaron held his mate to him as they stood in the middle of their bedroom. He felt as though he was the luckiest man alive.

Titus took Brandie to the door of their room and paused. He didn't want her to be disappointed that their room was modest with not many extras.

"Brandie, this is our room." Titus opened the door and let Brandie go in first.

She looked around happily. There was a king-sized bed with red bedding, a dresser, and two nightstands. There was also a loveseat near the fireplace. What she loved most was the french doors leading outside to a small balcony overlooking a garden below.

"Titus, this is perfect. I don't like things over the top with a lot of clutter. I can see myself here with you, and I'll be happy anywhere you are." Brandie walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him. He was such a quiet and gentle man that Brandie found that it had brought her more assertive side out.

Brandie pulled his mouth down to hers and kissed him passionately. Their tongues met in the middle, and Titus felt his body reacting to her. He wanted to throw her on the bed and make love to her, but he stopped himself. Brandie smiled when he pulled away.

"Titus, will you make love to me tonight? I don't want to wait anymore." Brandie ran her fingers through his dark hair and looked into his eyes.

"Okay, Brandie, but I want to warn you that I'm not very experienced in sex. I don't want you to be disappointed if it's not as good as you expect." Titus looked down in embarrassment. Brandie smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Titus, I have no experience, but as mates, I know it will be phenomenal. I'm glad you don't have much experience. I don't want to think about you with anyone other than me."

Titus looked into his mate's eyes and smiled. He would like to thank the Moon Goddess herself for blessing him with such an amazing mate. He couldn't wait for the rest of the pack to meet her so he could show her off.

Titus led Brandie over to the loveseat and sat down, pulling her onto his lap so she sat sideways with her feet on the loveseat. She laid her head on his shoulder and smiled. He was so caring and loving toward her, making her heart feel like it would burst.

The others watched, hidden in the trees. One was watching Brandie, and one watched Jasmine. They knew that the mates would be marking each other soon, so the first step of the process would be complete.

They would just have to wait for their first heat, and then it would be time to take them. The being planned to impregnate both girls himself to get access to all the worlds. The others would continue to watch until the next step before alerting the being.
