Chapter 13 - Discovery of Black Sphere
Brandie and Jasmine were busy training with Gavin in the meadow when they heard a loud roar. They all three jumped and got in defensive stances. They heard running coming their way and a loud chilling laugh in the air that sent fear down their spines.

They looked all around, trying to figure out where the noise was coming from, when they suddenly saw Titus, Aaron, and one of the warriors dragging a woman from the trees. She was very petite but was fighting them like she had the strength of ten men. When she saw the twins, she laughed shrilly again.

"There you are, you two Emerald Stone bitches. I didn't plan on meeting you so soon, but now that I'm here, let me introduce myself. My name is Tabitha, daughter of Brielle from the Dark Sphere. I plan to kill both of you and your mother for what she did to my mother." Tabitha wanted to get her hands on those young witches, but the men holding her wouldn't let go. She could use magic on them, but she wasn't ready yet.

"That's not possible. Our mother ended all of those from the Dark Sphere. They're now nothing but ash." Brandie spoke confidently while watching Tabitha. Her face contorted in anger.

"That's where you're wrong. Your mother killed all of those from Dark Sphere, but my mother released me from Dark Sphere to make my own coven. I am the High Priestess of the Black Sphere." Tabitha said it like everyone should fall on their knees and bow to her. Jasmine smirked at her.

"High Priestess, you say? You look like something out of a nightmare and not even a scary one. Your hair is stringy. Are you going bald? You're so small you must be sickly, and you smell like rotten food. I think you may be the High Priestess of a dumpster." Brandie and all the men tried to hide their laughter at Jasmine's words and Tabitha's reaction.

"You will eat those words, you redheaded bitch. I have more power than you in my little finger, but I'm not ready to show my hand yet. Just be aware that I'm coming for you and your mother. You will die so I can rule the world." Tabitha mumbled a few words, and just like that, she was gone, like she had never been there.

"What the hell was that?" Aaron asked the girls.

"I think we just figured out who hired the rogues. Where did you find her?" Brandie asked, walking up to Titus to put her arms around him.

"She was high up in a tree. We surrounded her, but she couldn't see us. When she got out of the tree, we jumped on her. Why didn't she use magic when we first got her?" Titus kissed Brandie's forehead. He wanted to hunt Tabitha down for threatening to kill his mate, but he knew this was a fight that would need to be won with magic and not brute force.

"Tabitha is arrogant. She most likely wanted you to bring her to us so she could goad us. From what we heard about her mother, she was the same way. Now though, we know that she is after us so that we can prepare. She probably isn't very original, and she'll likely do like her mother by having some witches attack while she tries to get Jasmine and me." Brandie looked at her sister, who nodded in agreement.

"You're right. She's living in Brielle's shadow. Gavin, have you ever used your magic against black magic?" Everyone looked at Gavin, who hadn't said anything so far. He was still getting used to being around so many people who treated him with respect.

"Only a couple of times, but I was very young, so I don't remember much. I will help you through the best I can." Gavin spoke quietly. The twins had helped him a lot the few days he worked with them. He was starting to feel more confident with his magic and learning new things along the way.

The group started to head back to the packhouse for lunch. Jasmine and Bradnie discussed what they could do to prepare for Tabitha. They knew she would most likely strike before the being does. After all, they hadn't even had their heat yet. Which they were both slightly concerned about because it should have come soon after their mates marked them.

"Aaron, I think it's best if Brandie and I place a spell over the pack and the pack grounds. It will notify us when someone who is not part of our pack comes to the pack. Our spell will also help if she tries to put spells on anyone in the pack. Do you think everyone would be okay with that?" Jasmine looked up at Aaron between bites of her food.

"I know they won't have any problem with it. We'll let the pack know what you're going to do later. Do you think Tabitha will cause too much trouble? I know everyone has been training hard to prepare for the being, but now that we have her to deal with, I don't want you and Brandie to get worn out." Aaron took Jasmine's hand and squeezed. He felt useless against these forces of evil.

"We'll be okay, Aaron, I promise. Fighting her and whatever she brings won't be anything like the being and his evil. That's why we practice our magic every day, to get stronger so when we fight, it won't take so much energy from us. Gavin is getting stronger too. He'll be a great asset during both battles." They looked over at Gavin, sitting at the other end of the table eating.

"I don't like you spending so much time with him. Titus and I have seen the way he looks at you and Brandie." Aaron looked toward Gavin again with a frown, and Jasmine laughed.

"Aaron, you have nothing to worry about. Gavin looks at us more like sisters than anything else." Jasmine leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, making him smile.

"Alright, Jasmine. How about we spend some time alone. I don't feel like I get to see you anymore." Jasmine smiled as she stood up and led him out of the dining hall.

Brandie watched Jasmine and Aaron leave the dining hall. She knew they wanted to spend some time together and couldn't blame them. As Alpha and Luna, they were constantly being pulled in a thousand different directions. She just hoped they were ready for everything coming at them.

The others had witnessed the episode with Tabitha and knew the being would want to know what happened. Clearly, she would be attacking the Fallen Eagle Pack soon, so they needed to stay close to report to the being once that happens.

They had also witnessed a new warlock added to the pack from the captured rogues. His magical skills were impressive. Not as skilled as the sisters, but still quite good. That information would be passed on to the being as well.

Warlocks were an interesting bunch, and this one was a hybrid making him unique. The others floated off to meet with the being in the middle of the worlds. Some exciting things were coming, and they were glad to be witnesses.
