The End - Royal Mating

Twelve years on

Two devastatingly handsome Princes walk the red carpet and accept congratulations on their eighteenth anniversary. Jasper and Rain's sons have grown into confident men. They completed their studies in Human Town under the strict supervision of Aunt Ruth and Uncle John, while godmother Magda often brought them some surprise visits. They have returned to the Kingdom to start their training to rule the Kingdom. But taking over the throne will take several more years.
Walking behind them are their three sisters, aged sixteen. Triplets.
Breathtakingly beautiful girls, many Lycans dream of being their fated mate when they reach adulthood in two years. They have been raised protectively, Jasper and the Sages seeing to it that they carry off their titles as Princesses with dignity. Except for the youngest, Adlin. The spoiled Princess gets up to all sorts of mischief and often brings her parents to the brink of despair. She is a party animal; her hobbies are decidedly dangerous. Esis persuaded Jasper last year to give her a little more freedom and bought the girl a motorcycle. With that vehicle, she skims the streets of the Kingdom every day, amassing a group of friends around her who are as wild as she is.
The Lycans amuse themselves with the little Princes who continues to burst from her family's protective bonds. Princess Wild, she is affectionately dubbed. But the leading receivers of attention remain her brothers. Now that they are eighteen, it is almost certain that they will meet their mates today itself. So Alphas and Betas have brought their unmated daughters to this grand party, hoping they will be the chosen ones. Jarrett and Marc are also eagerly looking forward to meeting their mates. The two have had their usual run-ins with the women in Human Town, but Jarrett longs for a mate bond like the one his parents share. His father's stories of how wonderful it is to have a soul mate who loves you in the same way and the bond established forever by the mark mainly attracts him. The Crown Prince is sure he wants a fated one.
Only Marc is still determining if he wants to be tied up at this age.
He is curious about the she-wolf the Moon Goddess has prepared for him but doesn't feel ready to commit yet. Therefore, he has informed his family that he will maintain a normal friendship relationship with his mate if he finds her. Since he is not the oldest, there is no need for him to hurry to have pups. No one bothers to change his mind, knowing that the mate pull will do the magic. The family lets him fantasize and waits patiently for the moment to arrive when he meets his mate.
And now the brothers walk side by side down the long walkway to shake as many hands as possible.
Flustered she-wolves try to make eye contact with them to reach their wolf but so far, it is fruitless. Jasper and Rain sit watching from a distance; they too are curious about their daughters-in-law. But then Rain recognizes someone in the mass. "Jasper, look. Isn't that Clair? The warrior Ralph had committed adultery with and Eric's ex-fated?" she asks. Jasper nods; the issue of Ralph is no longer a sore subject at the Palace, it's just avoided. Even Alidya and Randall have resigned themselves to his death and are not condemning Rain at all. No blame or inclination to revenge, they know exactly how Lycans' genes work in cases of deceit.
Rain beckons to Ivor who has his youngest daughter on his lap.
The Chief Warrior hands the girl to her mother and heads up to meet Rain. "My Queen, your orders."
"Look, there's Clair, the former warrior of Storm Forest. Can you bring her here, Ivor?" she asks. Ivor stiffened under her unusual request. "Rain, is that wise to do?" he asks softly. "What happened is in the past. She hasn't shown herself here for years. She was probably struck by homesickness and thought she could be unseen in the crowd".
"Bring her here, Ivor," Rain summoned. Ivor instructs his warriors to surround the woman and escort her to the stage without much notice. The risen crowd has eyes only for the Crown Princes, no one paying attention to the Royals on the stage.
When Clair finally stands before Rain, her eyes are full of fear and sadness.
She throws herself at the Queen's feet and begins to cry softly. "Forgive me, Rain. I suffered so much, couldn't look at myself in the mirror for years," she cries softly. "I betrayed your trust, there is nothing I can say to excuse my behavior." Rain stands up, grabs Clair by the shoulders and pulls her up. "You are forgiven, Clair. You've already had your punishment. For years you could not visit your family and have lived with the pain of your betrayal. I hereby pardon you, your offenses have been remitted," she informs the woman. Uncertain, Clair raises her head; she cannot believe her ears. Seeing the sincerity in Rain's eyes, she bows her head shamefully.
"Thank you, my Queen. You don't know how much this means to me. Finally, I can be with my mother again. My pups are able to feel the warmth of their grandparents rather than having conversations with them all the time from FaceTime," she squeals emotionally. "I promise you will never see me again. I express my infinite loyalty to you and the King". But Rain doesn't want to let her go just yet; she wants to put the she-wolf completely at ease. "You have pups? That's great. Look, Elena has three, Ruth four and Magda is still completing her eleven. My oldest boys are eighteen today. Where are yours?" she asks Clair.
A smile crosses Clair's face.
"My daughters will also turn eighteen in a few months. I brought them for my parents before they meet their mates and then have to move to a pack. Because then it will be harder for them to visit their families," she indicates. She turns and beckons into the crowd. Ten minutes later, two white-blond girls stand beside her, bowing respectfully to the Royals. "My King, Queen," they pronounce.
And then the incomprehensible happens.
The Crown Princes turn and stare at the stage. Their eyes turn bloodred as they stare at the two girls standing before their mother. A loud growl fills the atmosphere.
"MATE! MINE!" the Crown Princes exclaim in unison. In a flash of light, they run on the stage, each of them taking a daughter of Clair in their arms. ...
