Telling My Husband

Oooohhh, that was a close call!
I need to pay better attention to my facial expressions; Jace was almost on me. Of course, I knew it was a bluff when he indicated to be convinced I knew about Rain's whereabouts. He is an intelligent guy and indeed, I had forgotten that he was also present in the office, totally taken in by the Alpha's story and emotions.

I guess those werewolves have a pretty soft spot for the opposite sex, stories about mates in love sell easily.
I decide to take the Alpha's advice and rest a bit.
In a few hours, it will be lunchtime and I will meet the twosome downstairs in the main dining room, as Jace has described it to me. I throw myself on the bed and close my eyes. First, I need to meditate and get all the tension of the day out of my system.
'Why did you run away from me, my love?' I suddenly hear Esis's voice somewhere around. My eyes shoot open and I startled stare at the ceiling.
Has my husband found me? I can't really use that right now. I want to complete my mission, bring Saray the answers she desires. 'My love. Last night I was so lonely in the house. I asked you to dine with me, I was going to explain everything to you. But you ran away.' Now I sit up straight, I think I'm going crazy.
"Esis," I whisper to myself as I look around the room.
But he is nowhere to be seen. Is he playing tricks on me? "Esis!" I shout louder now.

And later, when we are in our pack and you are installed as the Luna, you will also be able to converse with pack members in the mind link,' he tells me. Horrified I listen to him, it's like he's talking to me on the phone but now without any device. I hold my head with both hands now, not knowing how to proceed with all this. Happily I smile at him. 'Did you really miss me, babe? You left early in the morning. And I need some time to come to terms with myself,' I tell him. Esis looks at me lovingly with a smile on his lips. 'I understand that. But still would have preferred that you had informed me yourself instead of my Beta having to tell me that my wife left on the Royal Jet,' he states, somewhat disappointed. 'Come back, my love. We can talk this out. I am still human and I love you. Very much'.
I smile back at him and realize how much I miss him too. No matter what happens, I will never let him go, werewolf or not, he is mine.
'I know that, babe. And I'm definitely coming back. You don't think I'm going to allow some she-wolf to put her dirty paws on what's mine, do you? ' I lecture him. Now he bursts out laughing. 'Sure not. Not that I see any other woman like you. You're my heart. We're going to get through this storm. If only you'd come back and we could talk'.
I look at him again and wonder if this is the right time to tell him of my findings. Ralph is Esis' best friend but I know he is also very fair. Besides, he still owes Saray a favor. I am sure he will not appreciate this whole affair. 'Why don't you say anything, Magda? You just said you will definitely come back. Why not now, today? I want so much to hold you in my arms,' he whispers intimately. A shudder goes through my body; I know what he means. Esis is insatiable and slowly I can keep up with his pace. 'Esis, I want to confide something to you but want your word that you won't disclose it to others until I agree. It's about Ralph and Saray'.
'Absolutely, my love. The two are my best friends but my first loyalty is to you. You can tell me anything,' he promises. And then I brief him about Saray, her concerns, and the mission I am now on to find out more. And when I tell him about my conversation with Alpha Jasper, he holds his breath sharply.
