108. Matteo & Karina pt 1

…Flashback…

*“Let me mark you?”*

To which she scoffed and laughed at him.

*“Are you crazy I will not let you mark me?!”*

Matteo gave her a patient look.

*“You say that it like it’s a bad thing?”*

He was rather relaxed about this matter. Clearly Karina wasn't.

*“It is! I don’t want you sticking your fangs in me, and why on Earth would you want to mark a silly human teenager like me? Have you ever stopped to think that how dangerous that could be for me? Not everyone survives the marking process. Leo got lucky. Thankgod! And this mark is supposed to be a big deal right? Well I’ll tell you right now. I'm not your lover! I feel nothing for you, and Eww I don’t like you Matteo, please just please stop this crazy talk about you marking me. You’re scaring me now.”*

Matteo chuckled at how flustered she got imagining him sinking his teeth into her.

*“It’s not funny.”*

*“Sweetheart. You need to trust me on this one. I’m not going to hurt you. I need to do this because my mark will protect you from Leo.”*

*“What do you mean?”*

*“Look. Leo has escaped from us, and currently we don’t know where his where abouts are, but I know for a fact that he is going to hunt you down and this time he’s not going to be his usual self.”*

Matteo let out a low growl, and flashed his bright green eyes at her, making her gasp out of fright.

He relaxed his features and Karina nervously gulped in understanding.

*“You mean hh..his wolf? His wolf will see me as a..”*

“Teen meal.” Matteo clarified, kissing his tooth whilst staring at her worried state of mind.

Karina’s eyes watered. Had she truly lost Leo? Had he lost his human side to the beast? No that couldn’t be possible.

*“But this is Leo? He would never hurt me?”* Karina shook her head in denial.

Matteo sighed out.

*“We don’t know that for sure. Karina, when Alpha Ares bit him, he was still highly intoxicated with the previous drugs he was taking, and we were trying to help Leo get in control of his wolf, but it seems that his wolf has got control of him.”*

*“So now he’s going to hunt for me?”*

*"Think about it. He feels betrayed by you, his angry with you Karina. Plus his wolf has got you on his mind for his menu? Because you've made Leo your enemy by betraying him.*

Karina sniffed holding back her tears. Leo won't see her as his friend but as his enemy?!

Matteo’s inner wolf hated seeing her afraid and neither did Matteo too. The strong beta, pulled her in to his arms, giving her a comforting hug whilst she cried over his shoulder scared. Karina closed her eyes feeling guilty and thinking about the once sweet cop who put her stupid a$$ teacher in jail to save her from him.

*" I didn't mean it! I'm sorry. I'm sorry Leo!*"

“Shhh, little lamb. I will never let Leo take a bite out of you. But you’ll need to let me.”

Karina pulled away from him and her heart hammered in her chest.

They stared at each other a great deal.

*“Yo..you’re not attacking me?”*

*“My little rose. I know I’m a beast, but I won’t hurt a flower like you.”* He wiped a tear away from her flustered cheek.

She was grateful for Matteo for not hurting her. Sure he scared her, but this time round it was different with him. He was watching her like she was something special to him.

This truly troubled her.

*“I don’t understand? Why do you still want to mark me? What will this mark prove? I don't like this Matteo”*

Karina said shaking her head at him.

*“Karina, my mark will be a special on you. This will let Leo’s wolf know that you’re taken. My scent will be on you. Leo’s wolf will be put off when he’ll catch my scent on you. Wolves usually attack non marked women that don’t carry a scent of a man all over their body.”

Her heart beat oddly skipped a beat, when he sounded somewhat sensual to her. Matteo hid his smirk hearing all her nervous heart beats, when he teasingly eyed her up. She pulled her blue sweater closer to her chest.

Even so!

A bite was still a bite! What if this crazy guy turned her into a beast herself? What would happen if she didn’t survive, and if she did? Would she end up like Leo, loosing her human side to a monster?!

After another long pause of silence he eyed her neck line and licked his lips to start the process of the marking. He caressed her cheek and looked at her deeply troubled by his gaze.

*“So?”*

Karina held his hand, with her trembling cold one. She had to be careful not to upset him. What if Matteo wasn’t as sweet as he looked? What if the crazy guy pulled out his fangs now and made her scream in bloody murder?!

*“Can I sleep on it? Please?”* She looked at him in a pleading manner.

Matteo growled at her lowly and retracted his hand away starting the car, in slight annoyance.

*“Very well. I’ll give you 24 hours to come in terms with what I’ll do with you, tomorrow.”* Matteo said strictly.

*“One way or another Karina, you will let me mark you weather it will be by choice or force. I will mark you tomorrow by 10pm the latest.”* He added taking the car around her house.

The car stopped and Karina’s heart was pounding in her chest. 10pm?! Matteo was going to f^cking bite her whether she liked it or not!

She unbuckled her seatbelt fast and she had opened the door to get out, but Matteo grabbed her wrist making her sharply gasp.

He smirked knowing his worried little lamb all too well.

*“You’re not going to run away from me tomorrow are you?”*
