94. Good Cop, Gone Bad.

Two police cars were on the road, making there way to a private air strip.

After finding out that his best friend Jack had betrayed him, he didn't plan to stick around for too long. Alpha Ares was no doubt out to get him, and Leo would do anything in his power to get away from him.

The last thing he wanted was to be turned into a beast.

Karina was handcuffed and sat at the back, with two cops in the front.

She was furious at Leo for humiliating yet turning her on at the same time. That crazy a$$hole. Leo was no longer her concern. Her main concern were her friends, who were currently in hiding.

Suddenly, the car in front, (where Leo was in) came to a sudden stop, in the middle of the dark empty road. Karina seemed puzzled as to why the car suddenly stopped.

Wolves were about.

Amongst the wolves stood one man in particular that Leo wished never to see again.

Jack.

The new wolf cracked a grin directly at him.

Leo checked his pocket and cursed out. He was all out of his soldier pills. After having a heated conversation with Jack (over the phone a few hours ago), Leo had returned back to the room, only to find out that Karina had found his extra bag of pills and drained them all down the toilet.

He was furious at her that he punched a hold through the wall, to stress out his anger. Karina cried saying that she was told to this 'once you took me.' She even went to tell him that the pills were bad for him but Leo was in no mood to listen to what she had to say. Those drugs were his only hope in protecting himself against their crazy strength and poisonous fangs. In all honesty, Karina was trying to protect Leo from the drugs. She knew that his anger levels were caused by the poison he consumed.

Betrayal was all around him.

Those pills, were his ticket out of here. It was the only thing that made him stronger against them, but now seeing Jack with his k-9 crew members he seemed troubled.

His palm sweaty, knees weak , arms feels heavy. He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready. So what if he didn’t have a any pills on him?

"You got an extra pill Shawn?"

Shawn checked his pockets and looked back at Leo nervously.

"I ate the last one four hours ago."
Well. F^ck. They were all screwed now.
Leo sighed out heavily and cursed heavily, whilst hitting the dash board in fury.

"Run him over."
"Sir?"
"Do it!" Leo said strictly, to the nervous cop beside him.

Shawn started his vehicle and Leo unclipped the safety of his gun.
He quickly grabbed the radio.
*"Be on alert boys, the dogs are here."*

Karina's heart thumped in her chest after seeing, Mateo, and Jack go down on all fours.
Leo was shocked to see Jack turn into a terrifying wolf that barred it's fangs at him in a mean snarl.
This wasn't Jack in front of him. This was nothing more than a damn beast out to get him.
He pointed his gun darkly at Jack's wolf who growled at him angrily. Jack couldn't believe his best friend who he took as a brother was pointing the gun at him!

Leo looked back at Jack green glowing eyes, without a blink, growling at him angrily.

**J: Don’t do it bro.**
Leo glared back angrily at Jack and started firing.

"Speed up, and whatever you do, don't stop Shawn!"

Shawn heeded the words of his commander and gassed the car, heading straight towards the wolves.
Leo and another cop from the other car, started firing their weapons on to the on coming threat.
Angry snarls, and growls erupted in the air. The wolves charged at the firing vehicles and Karina buckled up inside the car screaming out as the firing sounded brutally in the air.

Jack and Mateo split up fast.

The main betas in another car above a hill, watched the showdown.

**N: Leo, Leo, Leo.**

**G: Why couldn't he be a good boy like Jack?**

**F: He hates Ares remember?**

**S: I wonder if he's over Veera?**

**N: Hmm, I guess will find out after the bite?**

Jack pushed Leo's car with a powerful kick, making it skid against the road, the other car unfortunately flew and landed upside down on it's roof.

Leo's car hit the pole of the lamp post.

The wolves got to a injured Shawn and dragged him out ripping him to shreds.

Leo came too, quickly and took out firing his last bullets.

But it was too late.

He was out of bullets, whilst he was left standing alone looking around.

"You think I'm afraid Jack?! HUH YOU TRAITOR!" Leo shouted out secretly shaking in his bones.

Jack came Infront of Leo.
Leo couldn’t help but look at Jack in his glowing green wolf eyes. His eyes brimmed with tears, but didn’t let a tear shed. Had he lost his best friend to this beast?!

**J: This is for your own good Leo.**

Leo cursed out, and turned on his heels sharply to escape.

Jack leapt behind Leo and brought him down heavily, knocking him out cold with one hit of his paw.

Leo fell unconscious, and looked towards a screaming Karina before he blacked out.

The other wolves got to the other police car, and Karina screamed out. She had no idea about the blood that trickled down her head as she hanged upside down from her seat. The wolves got their late night snack from the crying cops that tried to shoot at them but failed miserably.

A wolf now sniffed and looked at a freaked out Karina inside. Worried that she was on the menu next, Karina screamed out with hot tears streaming down her face.

"No! Please No! I did what you guys told me to do!! Please!!" She cried.
Karina heard fast bone cracking as she whimpered out, scared.
"Karina, it's me, relax baby girl. No one will harm you."
"Mmm...Mateo?"

Karina carefully unbuckled herself and Mateo helped her come out from the car.
Mateo's eyes glowed green as he saw the blood trailing down from her temple.
Karina was too out of it to even focus on Mateo. Her vision was blurred. Her feet wobbled as she tried to stand up, but shock from everything that happened around her got to her. Darkness took over her.

She fainted and Mateo controlled his inner wolf, from his blood lust temptation with her. She wasn't his mate, but she was no doubt his special little lamb. Mateo picked her up bridal style walking away with her, protectively.
