29. There is no need for that. Doc.

Jack picked up Leo and Cora from the airport as they arrived in Scicliy.

Leo knew what he heard in the background that night. He didn't want to imagine what was happening to her where ever she was with that jerk, but all he knew now was that he had to get her back. He tried to call her phone back, but now it was coming back as engaged. Leo didn't understand why she called him *baby* but when he heard her cry from pleasure Leo knew somthing was wrong.

He was furious at Ares.

After putting their bags in the hotel, Leo and Cora headed over to a small hut on the beach where Jack was waiting for them.

He took out the drugs in a small plastic bag. He was carrying and Cora scoffed at him in disbelief.

"We havn't come here to get high, Jack." She crossed her hands over her shoulders and Leo looked at him trying to control his cool.

"These are not those kind of drugs." Jack said giving each of them a dark, and a small bamboo stick, they can blow it out from.

"Then what are they?"

"As you can see, I have put the drug in the tip of the dark. All we have to do is blow it using the small bamboo on one of the Weres, or we can use the dart and stab it with them." Jack went on to say that they had to use these poisoned darts carefully and we could not let it go to waste.

"Whats so special about this drug Jack?" Cora asked now picking it up and seeing it up close at the dark green substance.

"The name of this drug is Dark Leaf. It is deadly. This is the sh!t that we need to defeat their pack. I know this because I have seen the mayor take down a rogue using this once. This drug is very very rare, and it grows in the coldest parts of Russia. So please, use this wisely."

"Take me to the place where the grand opening is." Leo said putting the dart away securely.

"The opening? Thats not untill the next two days?"

Leo grabbed Jacks collar and flipped him over his broad back harshly.

"Leo!" Cora grabbed his hand, but Leo pushed her away looking at Jack with fury in his eyes.

"What is the matter with you?!" Jack punched Leo, and both of them ended up having a fight on the beach. Cora sighed and took a seat, letting them have their fight.

Jack and Leo were equally matched, but Leo's stamina was stronger than that of Jacks since he was clean. Unlike Jack who was trying to quit the crack for some time. With one last punch to his face, Jack fell to the ground with a bloody nose and mouth.

"Veera is in trouble Jack, I know it, because I heard her on the phone, so do not p!ss me off and take me to that place NOW!" Leo fired angrily at Jack.

Meanwhile back in Napels

Sienna had taken Veera out shopping for the grand opening of the hotel.

"A masquerade ball?"

"Yes, that is how me and Franko met actually. It was really romantic." Sienna gushed and told her more, as they tried on dresses.

Veera was not in the mood of trying on dresses at all, but she knew she would have to wear whatever Ares liked, if she refused. That was somthing she wanted to avoid at all cost.

Veera finally chose her dress and a matching mask and Sienna smiled loving it on her.

"Well what do you think?" Veera asked loving the soft lacey silk gown on her.

"Ares will love you in that dress." Sienna said secretly rooting for her them both. Just like the rest, she didn't quite like Gina, who was still trying to grab his attention.

"Maybe I should pick another one?" Veera said not happy with her comment.

"Nonsense, you look wonderful Veera and besides we need to go back to the private jet in an hours time." Sienna said buying the dress with Frankos credit card.

"Wait we're not going back to the hotel?" Veera asked. She was glad in a way, she didn't exactly want to face Ares after what Troy did to her, (plus the fact that she cried on him last night). Seeing him would make her feel akward, embarrased and also angry. She defintely was p!ssed at him for pleassuring her like that, even though she thoroughly liked it, Veera reminded herself that he was the bad guy, who was no doubt trying to bite her to death sooner or later.

She was never going to let that happen.

From now on, she needed to double her wall guards around him. He couldn't have his way with her, not this time.

This time it was war. She was going to fight back with him and Troy.

"Nope, we're going back to Ares's castle in Scicily, I have alot of organising to do, and I was hoping you could help me?" Sienna asked and Veera smiled and nodded.

As long as she was away from Ares and occupied with somthing she didn't mind helping Sienna out. Plus this would give her some time to prepare herself to escape to.

Veera and Sienna stepped out of the shop. As they walked on to get to their SUV ride, Veera suddenly saw a kid who kicked a ball on the road. The boy who was no more than seven went after the ball without looking on the road, and suddenly a fast van approached heavily. The van tried to stop, but the breaks failed and the car skidded straight for the kid.

Veera didn't even have time to shout watch out, and she dived for the kid.

Sienna yelled out of shock horror as the car collided with Veera who had shielded the kid fast, in her hold.

Veera's body flew high from the impact and landed on the road.

The two Were bodyguards all rushed and immdiately rushed to her side.

"Miss Veera!" They both said in unison, as she lay lifeless with the kid in her arms.

"VEERA!!" Sienna shouted as she rushed to her side.

Veera miraculously came to and the kid was in shock, staring back at her.

"MARCO!" A male voice shouted and rushed towards the seen.

Veera let go of the kid from her firm hold and he turned around slowly to face his saviour.

Veera slowly got up, and now a crowd surrounded them. The Were bodyguards growled at the crowd who instantly stepped back giving them space.

The kid sat up and th man rushed over fast and hugged him almost in tears. He quickly hooked his arms underneath his nephew and lifted him up in his arms.

"Uncle Santino..i'm ok." The little boy said bravely still in shock, looking at his uncle and then back at Veera.

"Marco are you hurt?!" Santino asked checking his body and sniffing him to smell any blood on him, but to his surprise there was non. How was this even possible? He saw him fly high from the impact with her and he didn't have a scratch on him.

"She came out of nowhere and protected me uncle." Marco said pointing at Veera. Santino checked his nephew and was amazed to see not a bone broken on him.

Santino looked back at Veera and she sat up slowly, still in a daze that everything happened so fast.

"Veera?! Are you ok?!..Oh my god, what am I saying?! You're not, we need to get you to a hospital." Sienna freaked out and Veera shook her head.

"No I'm fine."

"That's the shock talking sweety." Sienna said controlling her lump in her throat. Even though she was a Were, Sienna was a number one panic button.

"Siena, I'm fine." Veera smiled weakly at her, as the pain on her back had not quite subsided.

Sieana looked back at the car and was heavily, deeply dented from the front when she crashed into it.

"Are you sure?! We can go to the hospital?" Siena helped Veera stand up to her feet. She shook her head at him noticing his deep unsual silver blue eyes. The man was just as tall as Ares and was quite preety too. Had Veera lost it? Was she seeing a handsome man after a strong impact like that? Or was it the one she secretly admired.

"I'm ok Ares." She suddenly said to him and Santino looked at her worriedly, with his nephew.

"My name is Santino, Veera." When he said her name, Veera focused again and noticed that it wasn't Ares. Just another beautiful man looking at her worriedly.

"Oh?..Yes.." Veera couldn't even finish of her sentence since the man carrying the child in his arms started to suddenly spin. Crap, am I seeing double again? Her body was still in pain due to the impact and Veera now felt like a huge heavy brick, that could barely move.

Veera suddenly felt dizzy and Siena held her supporting her weight on her.

"Woah, I got you." Siena said steadying her. But Siena knew she wasn't she quickly hooked her arms underneath hers and carried her away towards the car fast with two of the Were bodyguards.

"I'm ok.." Veera suddenly fainted on Siena and then she blacked out.

"Oh my god! Veera!"

One of the Were guards took her in his arms and rushed towards the car, driving her straight to the hospital as Marco and Santino looked on with the rest of the astounished crowds.

Moments later..

Ares was furious at what happened to his mate. He killed the two body guards fast, who were useless at protecting her. Troy came out and grabbed Siena by the throat and yelled at her for not acting faster since she was a Beta. Siena cried in his hold and Franko punched at Ares's face as he growled out coming back to his senses, and dropped Siena to the floor. Siena sobbed and put her head down in submission. She felt terrible.

"It wasn't her fault! It was an accident Ares. Siena took her to the hospital straight away Ares!" Franko fired defending his mate.

Ares walked away in anger, leaving his little brother to console his mate.

Franko could understand why he lashed out at Siena. It wasn't his fault he would do the same if anything happened to his mate. Franko was still surprised though, how much he cared for Veera like that. He hadn't even marked her yet he could already feel the bond that they shared was clearly strong.

Ares saw the doctor that saw to Veera and was surprised to tell him.

"Not a bone in her body was broken." The doctor said in facination as he looked at her sleeping state.

"Why isn't she awake yet doc?!" Ares fired scaring the doctor in his white suit.

"She still is in a state of shock and she is just sleeping. We have given her some vitamins and she will awake up by tommoro." The doctor said as Ares relieved a sigh of relief.

"She trully is a miracle and so are her blood tests. I have never seen anyone with these kind of blood before, infact she should have died from the strong impact from the car. But it truly is amazing that she survived. Which makes me wonder who she is? Is she even human? Her DNA does not match with the Were kind at all. I need to do more tests on her." The doctor said with eager facination with Veera like she was some kind of unique alien he had come across.

Ares turned around with his eyes glowing blue madly looking down at the male doctor in his fifties. Veera had kept her secret safe for a long time, and she had shared her secret with him. There was no need for anyone else to know about true self. He would protect his Apsara at all cost.

"There is no need for that doctor." Ares grinned down at him, making him suddenly nervous.

Ares pulled out his claws and canines, and killed the doctor, destroying all the test results they did on her whilst.

When Veera woke up, she was now in a room that she previously remebered.

Only the fact that she wasn't in the hotel anymore.

She looked down and she saw that a pair of arms were around her torso.

Veera carefully turned around in bed and gasped at the sight of her beautiful captors sleeping face.

Ares shot open his eyes and they both stared at one another for a long long time. Flash backs of her shopping and saving the kid came back to her, and Veera's eyes suddenly watered looking at Ares.

Without saying a word, Ares stroked her cheek gently smiling at her warmly. Veera hugged him suddenly out of the blue, taking in his warmth. He was so surprised that she suddenly willingly hugging him like this, but now was not to get happy. Ares hugged her as he consoled her in his hold.

"You're ok Veera." He stroked her head and kissed it.

Still though she was stupid for putting her life in danger like that.

"Why did you do it Veera?"

Veera sobbed and sighed replying to him.

"I couldn't help it. He was in danger."

"So where you." He said holding her untill she calmed down.

Ares wanted to cuss and shout at her for doing somthing really stupid, he thought he had lost her for a second and at the same time he thanked the heavens she was alive.

Veera pulled away from his embrace and sat up slowly.

"I shouldn't be here. Ares, please. I want to go home?" Veera asked him hoping he would say yes this time.

Ares sighed and kissed her shoulder, making her gasp, as she suddenly felt his canines graze her skin. Her heart beated raised with fear. She looked back at him worriedly when he glowed her eyes blue at her. Troy was looking at her now. There was mad moment where he wanted to bite her, but he did not want to take the risk and send her back into a state of shock, when she just woke up from one.

They both knew he was going to claim her, and it was now a matter of time.

A time where Ares would need to use all his powers deviously for her to say 'bite me'

"Never scare me like that again, Veera." He doged her question and got up from the bed calming down.

There was no way he was sending her back. Veera's life was here with him, and he would do anything to make her understand this.

Veera rubbed her hands on her face and cussed at him.

She knew what she did was foolish, but at the same time, she was happy that she managed to save the sweet kids life. Veera knew she had to take matter into her own hands. She needed to get out of here before Ares truly bit her.
