51. Tag along?

Leo and Cora had taken Veera out for clubbing.

She was having a good time with her friends and Jack had taken a sudden interest in Veera when she came back from her sudden captivity.

In his eyes, she looked more like a woman, thanks to her sudden busty chest.

As Veera was dancing with Cora, Jack had come behind her, and grabbed her hips surprising her.

Veera turned around to see him dancing with her, which was odd, since they hardly got along.

It wasn't like Jack to dance with her. He normally preyed on the sluttier looking girls, usually had a one night stand with them and disappeared in the morning.

Looking at Jacks, physique, he definitely looked buff than before.

Cora had told her that Leo and Jack were both on this special 'soldier pill' that gave them incredible strength for fifteen minutes.

Leo wasn't happy taking the drug at first, but since he saw the outcome of taking the Weres on, he didn't mind.

Jack playfully winked at Veera and kissed her by her cheek.

Feeling uncomfortable in his hold, Veera got the message that he was flirting with her. Suddenly she missed Ares. She wished that she was dancing with him, but unfortunately she wasn't. Her mark burned underneath her long hair she was covering it by.

Veera saw that Jack was about to come and kiss at her lips and she quickly gave him her cheek instead.

Jack frowned at her rejection.

"What don't you like me Veera?"

"Not like that Jack." Veera pushed him away and went away.

Leo sighed, his plan to make her fall for Jack went down the drain too soon. Jack rolled his eyes moving on to the next hot babe he saw.

Veera told her friends about her trip to Bali, and when she mentioned that it was one of Gloria's friend, Leo got upset with her.

"You're not going to Bali Veera." He said with a storm of anger in his eyes. No he was probably in Italy making out with Gina. Her mark burned even thinking about that, but Veera ignored sudden pain and concentrated on her best friend who was dead serious on her not going to her next destination.

"I agree with him Veera. What if this is just a trap?" Jack said suddenly concerned about her safety. Veera raised a brow at Jack, since when did he start becoming concerned about her?

"Guys, relax they're not the bad guys that you think they are."

But Leo argued with her.

"That guy almost killed me Veera! He almost killed Jack here and took Cora as a hostage!"

Cora was the most silent of all. Secretly did she did not mind being taken hostage by them. She drank her shot remembering Gloria and Nico. Sure they drugged her, but she couldn't deny the fact that she actually had some *fun* with them. Cora desired to see them once again and immdiately intervened, supporting her friend.

"What if I go with her?"

"NO!" All three of them said. Leo stormed away and Cora sighed going after him.

Jack dropped Veera home and before she got out of the car he caught her wrist.

"You know I can make you forget about him if you invite me upstairs?" He said rather confidently like he was some kind of hot shot. He looked at Veera rather busty chest. Veera covered her jacket closely.

She looked at Jack in disgust and pulled her wrist out of his grip.

"No thanks." She got out of the car and closed the door behind her quickly.

Jack's moves did not work on her at all and he rode away also pissed of at her rejecting him twice.

It wasn't long before Cora managed to convince Leo for her to tag along with Veera.


Leo could relax a little that Cora would be there to watch over her in case she landed in to some sort of trouble with them. He had given her some 'soldier pills' and told her to take it only when it got dangerous. Cora smiled giving him a quick peck on the lips.

Leo couldn't stay angry at his best friend too and apologised to her.

"Hey, I'll be fine. I promise." She showed her his bracelet that he gave her for her birthday making him smile.

"Ok baby." Leo teased her making Veera roll her eyes at him. She hugged him and walked away in the terminal leaving Cora and him to say their warm goodbyes.

"I'll be back soon with her, so don't worry about us ok?" Cora gave him a sweet kiss and hugged him. Cora pulled away from him and went towards the terminal.

After Cora went away Leo made plans of his own.

There was no way, he was going to let his girlfriend and his best friend get caught up in their furry world so easily.

Jack arrived with more back up and Leo smirked, looking at the four men who were also looking just as buff as them.

If it wasn't for the 'soldier pills' they were taking they wouldn't have the courage to face the pack.

Leo, Jack and their troop of four discreetly got on to the next flight after them. They were going to make sure this time to bring the girls home safe and sound.

A day later...

Cora and Veera had settled in well at their tropical resort and took their time exploring the town area they were in. The girls had a nice time visiting the locals and they were absolutely unaware that they were discreetly being followed by their friends where ever they went. Jack and Leo and their gang had also checked in to a hotel nearby to the girls and kept a watchful look out for the weres.

Cora and Veera walked along the beautiful Blue Lagoon Beach.

She had received a text to meet Gloria here soon with Nico.

Cora was getting secretly excited to see them again too and Veera sighed seeing that look.

"You're here to be my body guard ok?" Veera reminded her. She did not want her to mingle with Gloria or Nico too much, since she feared that they would drug her. But things have changed.

Gloria and Nico wouldn't do that to Cora again? Would they?

"Well, ofcourse I am, it's not like I'll be leaving your side anytime soon." Cora ruffled her hair playfully.

"So I've been meaning to ask you for a long time now." Cora said sensing her quietness for a long time.

"What?"

"Did anything *serious* happen between you and Alpha Ares?"

Veera blushed remembering her fun, sad and R rated moments with Ares and Troy (for that matter) and her mark suddenly burned on her skin making her hiss in pain.

Veera put her hand on her shoulder and Cora noticed this at once. Ever since her return, she had been hiding her neck with a scarf or her her long hair, but Cora cheekily removed her hand fast and grabbed her light scarf off her neck. She gasped out loud and Veera felt troubled covering her mark away.

"Is that a bite mark V?!"

"What!! No? No it's not!" Veera was a terrible liar and Cora rolled her eyes at her. She'd seen alot of bite marks on victims from the Rogues she chased, and she hated the fact that her good friend had been abused by his sharp k-nines whilst in captivity. Veera walked away from her fast cursing lightly under her breath, but Cora came infront of her fast and looked at her worriedly.

"Shutup you little liar. It is! Oh my god. His claimed you hasn't he? That jerk!"

"No. This doesn't mean anything. I haven’t been claimed by him at all."

"Yet, he still bit you. That punk! I'll smash his face for hurting you like that." Cora said in anger and Veera sighed trying to calm her down. She had it wrong.

"No, he didn't hurt me Cora. Ares is not like that at all. His really kind, gentle and protective." Cora found that hard to believe when she first saw him. He was a terrible person that almost executed them for trying to save Veera that time.

“Veera, you’re not suffering from Stockholm Syndrome are you?”

Veera laughed at her crazy thought.

“What?! No, Cora. If you’re asking me if I have fallen in love with the Alpha then you’re mistaken.” Truth was she had, but it was no going to admit that at all.

"But he forced himself on you and bit you?!" Once again she was jumping to conclusions.

"No, he didn't force himself on me at all Cora. I agreed to be bitten by him."

"Why would you do that V?" Cora asked in a wild confusion.

"It was the only way I could come back home."

Cora took a look at her bite mark closely and it looked like a red hickey too with two deep red dots in her skin. She looked back at Veera.

"Aren't you supposed to have...you know healed?" Cora didn't exactly know what Veera was, but she did know that she had incredible powers to heal herself whenever she got hurt.

"I know, but this mark isn't going away and it weirdly stings me every time I think about him."

Cora was still pissed of at Ares hurting her like this and made a mental note to punch his face if she ever saw him around her again.

"Well don't think about him V, his not worth the pain." Cora said and Veera sighed ignoring the lump in her throat.

"Yeah. you're right. Besides it's a good thing his not here."

Two figures suddenly back hugged both of the girls from behind making them yelp in surprise.

"You're right. His not here."
