110. Liza and the wolves.
Liza ran deep inside the forest and finally came towards a cave where there was another secret passage way inside it.
She pushed some rocks on the wall and opened up another door that led towards secret village.
Liza quickly went inside and started to run towards the falling waterfall just up ahead. This was it, she was going to tell the elders that the wolves were here and they would get punished.
Suddenly Liza came to a stop in a middle of her run.
What would happen to her if she blabbed the fact that she went out to the sea to check for survivors? What would happen if Marcus and Nero ratted her out on distracting them by the cliff?
Master Orlov would have her head for sure.
Liza walked back and forth.
She couldn’t tell them that the wolves were here. No. She’d just have to catch some chickens make peace and get them to go back. All they had to do was stick to the compass.
But what if the wolves came back with more re-enforcement? There weren’t many Apsaras on the island to take on a full army?!
As Liza was troubled by her thoughts, the air around her changed into a whirling one and her body was easily lifted from the ground.
She cursed lightly under her breath seeing two familiar people walking her way.
“Oh look Nero, it’s the little brat that distracted us from bringing the plane down.”
“Liza, where did you run off to, you little twerp? You need to be punished for slapping with the water like that.”
“Put me down right now!” Liza fired as Marcus waved his hand side and fourth twirling her around like a natural bully.
“You jerk let me go!” Liza cried as the whirlwind spun her and dropped her on the ground.
Marcus and Nero both laughed but suddenly they stopped when they heard a very low growl coming behind the bushes to where Liza was.
The air apsaras looked worriedly sensing a dangerous energy from the bushes.
“Tell me that was your stomach?”
“No, it wasn’t.”
They eyed Liza sharply.
“What the hell did you bring?” Nero asked, to a very dead silent Liza.
Liza rose to her feet, with fear escaping her every breath.
“Run!”
The growl came more louder this time and Marcus and Nero pointed their palms towards the bushes throwing crazy wind at it.
The shadow moved fast and suddenly, out of nowhere two wolves attacked Marcus and Nero with their paws and sharp canine teeth. With a ferocious snarl the wolf heard the men screaming out of fear, when it finished them off.
Liza ran as fast as she could, only to be beaten by the blood thirsty wolves. She came to a stop with her heart pounding in fear. She took a couple of steps back only to bump into a someone from the back.
Liza turned around in alarm and saw Ares and Judy.
Judy gave her a friendly smile, without tucking in her canine teeth.
“Liza don’t be afraid sweety. No one wants to hurt you.”
A: You don’t sound convincing Mom.
J: I’m trying here!
Seeing the half dead bodies not too far away, Liza was not totally convinced by what she was saying. She was looking at her as if she was the next one on the menu.
Liza went to run away from them only to be stopped by a wolf that had taken the life of Nero. It was wagging its tail in a rather playful manner making Liza whimper out afraid. He was staring down at her and Rick went to lick her wound of her arm, but Liza was so frightened that she gasped out and fainted, thinking she was going to be his next happy meal.
Rick sniffed Liza and would never harm, however as he licked her wound a crazy sensation took over him and he couldn’t contain his natural primitive side of his wolf.
“Rick?” Judy asked knowing exactly that look on a wolf, when it sensed its next meal.
It snarled at Judy then turned its gaze back on to a passed-out Liza. He was just about to sink his canines into her, when suddenly Ares growled out angrily and sucker punched his beta, whilst in his human form.
Judy was amazed, as well as her mate. Ares had great strength in him to guard Liza away from Rick’s wolf.
Ares growled angrily at Rick. His growl easily made the other wolves sink their head in submission. Rick immediately came back to his senses and controlled his primitive nature slowly backing away. Ares picked up Liza and threw her over his shoulder.
“We have their scents. All we need to do is track them down.” Ares spoke as Jack and Rick now remained in their wolf forms, leading the way with Judy obediently following behind him.
