111. Veera and the Apsaras

Veera looked down from her window as they circled over the island.

She hated lying to Gloria and Nico but after she got the threatful video message she knew she had to come alone. She would never forgive herself if anything happened to them or Ares for that matter.

“Master Orlov is a forgiving person, he will forgive you if you do what he asks.”

A man accompanied by a female Apsara spoke, after picking her up from their meeting point in the town centre.

“What’s that?”

The hooded Apsara pulled out a picture of Ares.

“Kill him.”

Veera’s heart broke, kill the love of her life? No freaking way!

“Why does Orlov hate the wolves?”

The female went to grab Veera’s jaw, but Veera was fast with reading her movements and easily caught her hand. She squeezed it, showing her she wasn’t afraid of her. But the female Apsara was scoffed.

Veera suddenly saw her hand go extremely cold that it practically frosted with Veera’s hand. Veera quickly let go of her hand and the girl smirked.

The man chuckled, finding Veera’s heated gaze amusing, as her hand returned back to normal.

“What the hell? How did the frost not stay?”

“You better watch it Frozen.” Veera snapped grabbed her jaw making the girl go speechless.

“Clara calm down, you too Miss Veera.”

Veera let go of the girl and gazed back down from her window. She was amazed by the floating island with a shimmering waterfall.

“Welcome to Apsara island, we hope you enjoy your stay.”

As the plane landed.

Veera was escorted out and she saw many people with the red robes.

“Traitor!”

“You’re going to pay for betraying us!”

As she walked down the street, Veera could see she was clearly welcomed with the nasty stares.

Clara smirked; she was loving the walk of shame Veera was receiving. But Veera didn’t care, her main goal was to get Emerald and her aunt back to safety.

Some picked up stones to hit her. A few stones hit Veera and she was shocked that the Apsaras around her saw as if she was some kind of villain to them. Another set of stones then came at her and Veera raised her arms to block them, however the man guiding her suddenly came Infront of Veera and shielded her. Much to her surprise. He froze the stones instantly and then crushed them with his powers.

“The next person to throw something at her, will end up in the pit of snakes.” Announced the guy.

The clan of Apsara’s dispersed fearing him. Clara sighed looking at Veera’s sudden hero.

“Valerio no need to defend her, she deserved that.” Clara glared and walked off ahead.

The man sighed and turned around to see a streak of blood going down her temple, that Veera wasn’t even aware off. She was too focused to see who attacked her next.

Valerio brushed his cool thumb over her sudden wound and healed it quite quickly for Veera, leaving her speechless and stunned by his sudden kindness. Veera stepped away from him getting back her personal space.

“Why?”
“Why what Miss Veera?”

“Why did you do that? Shouldn’t you be with the ‘I hate you too’ club?”

Valerio chuckled. The thick dark haired curled man, with a dimple on his chin shook his head.

“I don’t hate you Veera, I just don’t like the fact that those blood hounds are messing with you.”

“They’re wolves not blood hounds.” Veera defended.

“Same thing.”

Veera glared at him as she walked away from him.

Valerio escorted her to the cave like castle with a waterfall coming from it. They entered and soon Veera was then guided to a room.

“I’m not going to be a prisoner here Valerio. I want to see aunt Rita and Emerald.”

“All in good time. Now rest up you’ve had a long flight.”

Valerio and Clara bowed down to their Master.

“The lost Apsara is here my lord.” Clara broke the good news, making Orlov grin from ear to ear.

“Excellent. Make sure you have guards watching over her. We don’t want her escaping.” He made a sinister gesture towards them both motioning to their necks.

“I’ll personally keep an eye on her my lord.” Valerio said.

“Good.” Orlov got up from his seat and made other plans. Tomorrow was an important day. He went down to the dungeons where his precious prisoners were and Rita quickly woke up Emerald.

They’ve been treated like slaves, given less to eat and drink. They were given rags to wear to clean the castle floor and walls. Stones were thrown at them whilst they worked and Emerald was doing her best not to break down. Luckily for them, they weren’t harassed by guard men around the castle grounds on Orlovs orders. One that tried to have his way with Emerald was burnt alive by Orlov himself. He hated that kind of scene.

Orlov on the other hand took quite a fancy too Rita. Only because she had a strong mind barrier that he couldn’t invade. Unlike Emerald, he could easily mess with hers with ease.

“Guess who’s here?” He grinned making Rita easily stand up and grabbing the jail bars.

“You stay the hell away from her you crazy –”

“Rita, Rita, Rita! My you know how to fire me up.” Orlov made a fireball and struck at the wall behind of Rita fast. He bellowed a laugh looking back at a very angry hot lady.

“You think you can scare me?!”

“No. I know you’re not scared of me however..” Orlov came inside the cellar and went towards Emerald who began crying hot tears. Last time he came to see her, he’d hypnotised her into blowing up many balloons for his 410 birthday party.

She was afraid what he’d hypnotise her to do next.

“No, no!!! Please, Rita help!!” Emerald shrieked and Orlov laughed grabbing hold of her like a damn villain that he was.

“Orlov! Let go of her! Take me instead?” Rita did her best to get his attention. She couldn’t stand seeing her being toyed around like this.

“The offer is tempting, but I think I’ll have her instead?”

“No!” Emerald closed her eyes as he cornered her to the wall and Rita began shouting foul words at Orlov. But he didn’t pay her no attention.

“Open your eyes pretty, it’s time to greet your friend.” Orlov squeezed her hand just enough for her to open up. With his gaze locked with her Orlov smirked getting hold of her mind.
