55. Can I Take You Down?

A knock came through the door.

Leo and Cora got up from their chairs and looked at each other rather puzzled.

"Doesn't Veera have a key to the room?"

"She does?"

A knock came through the door again, and a familiar voice called out.

"Hello? Anybody home?" It was Gloria.

Cora freaked out internally and stopped Leo from answering the door.

She dragged Leo away from the door and whispered at him as low as she could.

"What are you doing?"

"Don't let her in!" She whispered yelled.

"Why not?" he whispered yelled back.

"No Leo, you don't understand. This is Gloria! Gloria the one that drugged me and well, yeah she's nice, but I have a big feeling she's not alone."

Leo walked over to the door and looked through the spy glass.

Cora was right.

"She's with her mate!"

"We know you're in their you two, so don't make us use the master key." Nico grinned eye-balling the spy glass through the other side.

Cora shook her head and Leo sighed opening the door.

"Nico, Gloria what brings you here at this hour?"

Gloria smiled and looked charmingly up at Leo.

"Well, since we're all friends now, we were wondering if you would like to join us for a drink?" Gloria chimed.

"No! No, we are alright thankyou." Cora came through and shook her head at the both of them, making Gloria sigh sadly. Nico on the other hand looked at her warmly trying to convince her yet again.

"Why not little tiger? Don't you want to have a little *fun* with us? Maybe even watch a late night movie?" Nico grinned, troubling Cora who looked away from his gaze.

"Or a show?" Gloria added.

"What kind of show?" Leo asked curiously looking at popcorn tubs thier hands.

Nico grinned at Leo and pulled him under his arm quickly and Cora was caught by Gloria wickedly, making her carry her popcorn tub and walking away with her.

"Why don't we show you?" Nico pulled them away from their hotel room walking away with plans of their own.

As much as they did want to take advantage of their precious human lambs, Nico and Gloria's intentions with them was to do something else.

The heat was on and Veera could no longer deny how she felt about Ares.

Nico and Gloria chuckled darkly to that thought making Cora and Leo very vary of them.

"My dear friend. Look closely, Veera's been marked." Nico said making Leo clench his jaw.

He hated the fact that Ares had hurt Veera like that. But he couldn't deny the fact too. He had never seen Veera so in love like this before.

"A mark is special, it stays on the one you love only once you have truly accepted them with all your heart. So my friend. Veera's not having a Stockholm issue, no. That there is her mate." Gloria explained and Leo looked heart broken, seeing his best friend kissing Ares, the one that kidnapped her.

"We came to show you both their love for each other, and now we will retire to our rooms, unless ofcourse you want to join us?"

"NO!" Cora and Leo snapped at Nico in unison.

"Hmm, suit yourself, c'mon babe." Gloria fed Nico a piece of the popcorn and left the room.

After seeing Ares and Veera exit the elevator, Leo got suddenly restless.

"I'm going after them!"

Cora stopped Leo blocking his path.

"You can't Leo!"

"Cora?! She's not in love."

"She is! Look. As much as I hate it too, we need to accept Ares and his family. For the sake of Veera Leo!"

Leo sat down on the chair and put his head to his hands.

"But...she's our best friend Cora? She's special to us. She's done so much for us, and now she's in the hands of that wolf!"

Cora knelt down and grabbed his hands in understanding how deeply he was attached to her. Cora was attached too, but the truth was out there.

"We both want to see her happy don't we?"

Leo sighed in defeat and Cora hugged him. Deep down they both knew, that Veera was going to be taken again. But this time, they were shocked to see that Veera was being taken willingly.

Ares and Veera walked down the hallway.
