114. Orlov meets Veera pt 2
Veera froze with fear. She could feel he had a powerful energy. Orlov loved having that effect on people. He smirked seeing fear flood through her veins.
“Orlov don’t you hurt her!” Rita cried angrily.
Orlov scoffed and cracked his neck muscles. Veera privately cringed hearing that sound.
The elderly Apsara walked over to Veera and circled her slowly, tsking at her disappointedly.
“So young and such a fool.”
Veera couldn’t contain her rage and with a quick move she sucker punched him by the jaw.
Orlov was taken back, he didn’t even see that coming! What truly amazed him was that she had a certain high level of energy that flowed just like the ex member of his clan. Angelo.
The elderly apsara had fire in his eyes and looked back at Veera in a state of heat.
Guz chuckled finding this whole ordeal quit amusing, but a single cackle from his mouth p!ssed Orlov off. He generated fire from his hand and burned the top of Guz’s head setting his permed hair on fire. Guz screamed and ran towards the mouth of the cave in great haste. He lept out and fell into the water below.
Valerio quickly got to Veera and pulled her back, restraining her arms back quickly whispering into her ear.
“Don’t be a fool Veera, he’ll burn you alive if you defy him.”
Valerio quickly iced her wrists preventing her from lashing out at Orlov. He hated betraying her, but he knew he didn’t stand a chance against his incredible power.
Orlov on the other hand smiled at Veera and chuckled back at Rita.
“Feisty isn’t she?”
“Leave her alone.” Rita gritted out.
Orlov shook his head.
“I can’t she broke the law.”
“I’ll break your stupid fa-!” Valerio clamped her mouth shut, hushing her by her ear.
“Pardon her sire, she’s still new here and doesn’t know the rules.” Valerio said trying to reason with his heated stare on the young apasra.
Orlov nodded in understanding.
“I sense a lot of hostility coming from you Veera. I get it, you’re angry with me for killing your parents.”
Veera was shocked to hear this. Valerio let go of her mouth seeing as she stopped shouting strongly at her.
“You wh..what?” She whispered out barely audible, but Orlov (despite his age) heard every single word.
“What can I say, I live by the rules Veera. As ancient Apsaras we can not have outsiders knowing about us. Your parents on the other hand ignored this and helped those vile creatures from hell.” He said quite disgusted with them.
“They are called Werewolves.” Veera spoke sharply making Valerio sigh, and Orlov roll his eyes.
“Yes, well over here they’re called dogs. These cells in particular where made for them, and centuries ago we used to torture them down here. What fun that was.” Orlov reminisced as Veera judged him as a total psycho.
“Why do you hate them so much?” Veera asked out of curiosity.
“Many reasons actually. One gave me this awful scar that never heals. But I hear you’re a healer? Perhaps you can make it go away?”
Veera wished to give him a distinct m!ddle finger but she couldn’t do that since ice man had trapped her hands in ice behind her back.
“So you hate them because one scratched you?”
It was more deeper than that. But Orlov voided that part of the story.
“They are brutes, they’re killers oh and they are the reason why we got kicked out of heaven the first place. If Mailena our first ancestor hadn’t fallen for the that wretched dog she would still have a place in heaven. No she refused heaven because of that mutt.”
“Romulus.” Valerio reminded.
“Whatever, she wouldn’t have be kicked out if she didn’t choose him. Thank-fully more of us appeared, generated the Earth back to it’s former glory after war and we stayed to remind the future generation not to fall for the dogs.”
Veera looked at Orlov darkly, she couldn’t break through Valerio’s block of ice that but if she could, she wouldn’t hold back beating the crap out of him.
“But you still killed my parents you rotten piece of sh-mmmm!!!” Veera angrily shouted out before Valerio clamped her mouth shut again. Rita couldn’t help but cry in silence as Orlov scoffed.
“Killed? I gave them a choice to abandon them. But they did the impossible and sided with the enemy. Do you know what happens to Apsaras that side with the enemy? They get killed. Why? Because they didn’t choose the right side. Plus they went against the rules of our clan. Never fall for the enemy.”
Veera’s hot tears came out knowing the truth. Her parents didn’t choose the wrong side. They chose the right side, knowing that the werewolves weren’t the bad guys. They were protecting them just as much as the wolves were.
“You’re probably thinking I’m the bad guy here Veera.” Orlov said with a calmer tone.
Veera shed her last tear and looked back at the psycho as he continued.
“But I’m not. You see sweetheart, the wolves are drawn to us because we carry a special scent. A scent they find delicious. Not only that, they use you, drain out all your powers until you’re useless. You’re like their forbidden fruit. Soon, they grow tired of you and when their beasts get hungry, they devour you like a natural prey.”
Orlov walked over to her and ushered Valerio to release her mouth.
“So you’re going to kill me too?” Veera finally said controlling her heated gaze on him.
“Don’t you dare hurt my baby!” Rita screamed out trying to pull the shackles from the wall.
“Rita, calm down princess, I’m willing to forgive her. By the looks of it I just may have saved her.”
“What?!”
“Don’t looked so shocked Veera, you think I’d let that creature from hell marry you? We don’t need a disgrace to spoil our clan’s reputation. No Apsara apart from our ancestor dared to marry the enemy. Ares got close, but thank goodness he didn’t get that close. In fact, now that you’re here. I suggest you set your eyes upon…”
Orlov pulled Valerio under his arm.
“Him.”
“Excuse me?”
“What?” Valerio asked puzzled too.
Orlov sighed and smiled at the both of them.
“Valerio I know this is quite sudden but how do you feel about Veera becoming your bride?”
Veera looked shocked and Rita groaned out in misery. How the hell did this prick go from being a psycho villain to sudden match maker?!
Valerio felt under pressure knowing that Orlov would torture him in a fire cell if he refused to obey him. Sweat dripped from his forehead already thinking about it. He looked back at Veera not breaking eye contact with her.
“Yes. I will take her as my bride.” He nodded at his suggestion.
Orlov smiled in satisfaction.
“Good man!”
“What?! No! I have a fiancé!” Veera said strictly.
Valerio went to go towards Veera, but one swift move from Orlov’s hand on Valerio’s shoulder had him flying backwards.
Veera nervously gulped as he approached her with a strict smile on his crazy face.
Orlov grabbed Veera’s jaw tightly and smirked down like an evil prick that he was. He ignored Rita’s shouting and concentrated more on Veera. This girl, wasn’t afraid of him. If she wasn’t related to Rita he would have easily disposed of her. However, decided to let her fire cool down. He was willing to give her another chance.
“Not any more.”
Orlov let go of her face and turned on his heel.
“Hey! Scarface! What have you done with Emerald!” Veera snapped making Orlov raise a brow at his sudden nickname.
“You’ll see her in the Arena, tomorrow. Valerio get her back to her room! Oh and Veera you better stay there, because if you don’t you’ll never see your aunt again.” He ordered going towards the cave opening and jumping out of it.
