47. Double Trouble pt 1
Jack.
We all remember Jack don't we?
The one up to no good.
Leo's best friend, that used to sell drugs in highschool, the one that got Veera into trouble, and didn't really care about her, until she saved him from Ares's wrath etc etc.
After knowing the return of their good friend Veera, they were happy to find her safe and free from the powerful Alpha, that resided in Italy.
Jack had changed for the better, and treated Veera much better than Leo ever since she cured his back.
Infact Veera was surprised to see both him and Jack looking rather tall and strangely muscular than before.
Cora was the same as usual and she was just glad to have Veera back.
However, dear Jack couldn't seem to let things go. He was a flag bearer of vendetta.
He privately discussed the matter with Leo without involving the girls in the matter.
"We need to find a way to kill him Leo." Jack said punching the black bag in the precinct gym.
"Don't be an idiot Jack. His an Alpha, not even Dark Leaf could kill him." Leo said working out on a bench.
Leo secretly wished that Veera didn't save Ares. However he already knew when she returned back to them, his dear friend had fallen in love with the bad guy.
Leo knew he had to do something, he needed to distract her somehow and looking at Jack gave him a sudden idea.

{Veera's POV}
Two months later...
"I mean, Jason just disappeared! It's not like him to just leave like that." Aunt Rita cried as I consoled her coming over for a visit, after three weeks of being in my home town.
Ah, Jason. I didn't have the heart to tell her that he was killed by the wolves in Italy.
Sure, he was a world class pervert and a sleezy ass boyfriend to Aunt Rita but in a terribly good way, I was glad he was gone.
Now I could relax visiting to see my aunt, without that sexual harasser about.
Besides, that sleeze ball was no good for my aunt.
"Aunt Rita don't worry, you'll find some one much better than him. Trust me there are plenty of fish in the sea." I said to her forty year old self.
Aunt Rita blew her nose and nodded.
"It's his loss right?"
"Totally." I patted her on her shoulder.
Aunt Rita composed herself once more and smiled at me. However her smile faded when she took a closer look at me.
"Veera, are you ok? You look really tired?"
"Tired?" I huffed a laugh and shook my head drinking my third cup of coffee.
She was surprised seeing this.
"Sweetheart, you never drink coffee. You're more of a hot chocolate girl."
She was right.
Infact. I hated coffee. But I needed alot at night.
"Talk to me, whats wrong cupcake? You look like you haven't slept in days since you've been back from your trip?"
It's true.
I hadn't exactly slept in peace, because a certain someone was invading my dreams.
"Oh, you know, it's just work."
Ever since I was back, I had dived back into work heavily, going to wedding shoots and also helping out Emerald at her work place.
However, no matter how much I distracted myself in not thinking about Ares or Troy for that matter, I just couldn't help it.
I even received calls and text messages starting with Rose are Red, and it wasn't hard to guess who it was. Even so, I immediately blocked that number and cursed lightly at myself. He was doing everything in his power to contact me but I knew it was best to just ignore.
Eventually he would give up right?
Still. I needed to be strong, and move on, with my life.
However.
Even thinking about him for a moment caused my mark to momentarily burn.
"Ouch." I held my shoulder and Aunt Rita looked at me with concern.
"What is it?"
"Nothing." I smiled controlling the little sting.
Aunt Rita narrowed her eyes at me and knew I was hiding something from her. She didn't press on the matter and got up from the dinner table, collecting her dish.
"Have an early night sweetheart, you seriously need the sleep, my little panda bear." She teased looking at my sleep deprived eyes.
I got up to help do the dishes, but Aunt Rita told me to go straight to bed.
She couldn't stand seeing me in my tired state.
I nodded and went to my old room.
Having a quick hot shower, I changed into my night wear that consisted of a spaghetti top and light crop trousers
It was a hot summer night, and I made sure the fan and the window was open to let the cool breeze in.

3 hours later...
{{Dream mode}}
Usually, in my dreams there would be rain and really loud thunder, scaring me altogether.
I would find myself, wearing my red bikini and the grass skirt standing inside the hut and a voice would call out and say
*Are you afraid of a little thunder?*
I would turn around and see Ares come out of the darkness staring back at me with a desiring look on his enchanting beautiful poker face.
At this point I would wake up with a nervous sweat.
These dreams at first lasted for no more than two minutes, but lately they had been getting more longer than usual each time I slept.
This time round. My dream was was very unusual.
I found my self in a dark looking forest with the big moon shining, its yellow glow.
I was bare feet, like I usually was and an eerie feeling washed over me, as if I was being watched.
A dark trembling growl sounded hungrily behind me, and all the hairs in my body stood up.
I gulped nervously and decided to quickly hide behind a big trunk of a tree.
*A: "You can't hide from us Veera."*
It was Ares, he startled me and found me standing next to me. He was standing in his black pants and an unbuttoned black shirt, exposing his chest and torso.
I shook my head keeping my distance.
He slowly looked at me up and down at what I was wearing, making me blush.
"Why are you here?" I turned away from his gaze.
*A: "You were thinking about us, weren't you?"*
I turned back at him shaking my head.
"No. Why would I?" She nervously scoffed.
This was false. A big part of her missed Ares and Troy very much, but Veera was still strongly denying her feelings for them.
Troy smirked picking up on her lie quickly.
*T: "Baby, don't lie, we know you miss us."*
Suddenly there were two of them.
The only difference was, he was glowing his eyes blue at her. Veera gasped startled to see Troy standing next to Ares as if he was his twin.
Veera looked at both of them, suddenly finding them fascinating and intriguing.
"Troy? How is this possible? How can there be two of you?"
She always used to see Ares in her dreams, but Troy surprisingly made an entrance too.
*A: "Anything is possible in dreams, Veera."* Ares chuckled and tried to grab her, but Veera dodged out of his way quickly.
**T: Lets give her a w3t dream?**
Ares nodded to that and both of them chuckled.
Veera caught on their private glances at one another and asked.
"You just secretly discussed something dirty through your mind link didn't you?"
*A: What? No.*
Ares played it innocent, but Veera wasn't falling for it.
*T: What if we did?*
Troy licking his lips playfully at her, troubling her nerves again.
Veera glared at him shaking her head.
Ares tried to come at her again, but Veera pushed him away.
"Don't touch me!" She snapped making Ares raise a brow.
Troy growled at her playfully making Veera grow very cautious of him.
Relax Veera. They're just a figment of your imagination.
That's all!
Although, she worried that she was no doubt seeing them because of the bite he gave her.
Speaking of which, her mark was giving her a slight burn.
Veera put her hand over her mark near her neck to which they both took notice off.
"You're not real! You're just a dream, so just go away!" She fired at them, ordering them to get lost.
But they both looked at one another and chuckled in a amused way.
*T: "Baby, we can see that you're troubled."*
*A: "Your mark is burning you isn't it?"*
Veera hated the fact that they were unfortunately right.
Her mark was no doubt giving her a burning sensation on her skin.
"What if it is? It's not like you can make it go away?"
Ares and Troy both smirked at each other.
*T: "We can't make the mark go away, but we can make the burning pain go away tesoro."*
Veera looked at his wild pretty glowing blue eyes.
What did they have some sort of special oinment?
"How?" She dared to ask.
*A: "We can kiss it better for you?"* They both looked at her with immediate eagerness to dominate her.
Veera scoffed at that thought.
"Not happening."
Veera turned away to walk away from them, but suddenly her mark stung badly.
She winced out in pain stopping dead in her tracks and Troy came in front of her calmly. He hated her seeing in pain just like Ares.
He put his hand over her arm making Veera gasp. He felt strangely cold, which was weird because Troy was hot as hell in real life. However she felt some strange cool tingles on her skin when he touched her.
*T: Relax Veera. Don't push us away. We miss you alot.*
He kissed the back of her hands, making Veera blush.
Troy was being sincere, there was no mischief behind his tone as he looked down at her in a lovable way.
Veera's eyes suddenly watered and she blinked her eyes looking up at Troy, whom she dearly missed.
"Sorry, I don't know why I'm crying?" Veera said strangely making Troy smile down at her, warmly. He missed holding her so much.
Troy pulled her in his arms for a hug and Veera couldn't help but hug him back. She missed him hugging her. Veera never once felt uncomfortable in his embrace, it almost felt as if she was safe.
*T:"You're crying because you're missing us too."*
"No." Veera lied and hugged him a little tighter than usual. Troy smiled inviting her lovely warmth on him.
Troy pulled away giving her a sweet kiss on her head.
Veera looked up at him confused. She didn't know what was going on, but she was concerned as she touched her hand on Troy's face lightly.
"Why do you feel so cold?"
