131. Karina and Matteo pt 1

Karina heart was beating a mile when she felt another hand snaking around her waist. She tried to pry her captor’s hand away from her mouth all whilst holding back her small whimpers.

But her captor refused to let her go. Karina kicked her feet out and then managed to bite down on his palm, making him hiss at her.

“No! LL..Let go of me you jerk!”

“Hello trouble.” She recognised his voice.

“Mmm..Matteo?”

He finally let go of her and licked at his minor wound on his palm that she caused. He was lucky to have ran into her in the cave, and was relieved to know she was ok.

“How did you manage to escape?! Karina this is no time to be playing Karina the explorer!”

Suddenly Karina crashed into his warm chest making Matteo suddenly go quiet. She hugged him tightly out of relief.

“I’m sorry! I know, it was stupid for me to come out the plane, but I never planned on leaving the area. I just wanted some fresh air and I was doing just fine when ‘angry bird’ spotted me!”

He pulled her away and placed his hands on her hips looking down at her with a little confusion.

“What angry bird?”

Suddenly both of them heard a rustling sound and Karina quickly grabbed Matteo’s hand dragging him into the darkness.

“That red robed guy.” She quickly whispered.

They both watched from the darkness the Apsara standing near the edge of the cave and cursing out in French. He was pissed of that his air powers were down. He’d barely managed to fight of the other hounds with his life and he was about to leave the island with the rest, until he spotted the enemy.

This girl was no wolf. If she was, she would have already phased and tried to eat him. It was clear to him she was nothing more than a human. A human who was siding with the enemy.

She had managed to knock him out moments ago before she saw her escaping up here. Now it was his turn.

“Hey girl, I know you’re in there! Don’t make me come after you!” Shouted the man.

Karina sighed and came out from the darkness.

The Apsara then smiled seeing Karina.

“Leave me alone asshole.”

“And leave you all alone all here by yourself? Besides. I’m waiting for you to show me your wolf?”

Karina sighed and suddenly went down on all fours, glaring angrily at him.

For a few seconds the Apsara was afraid was she really about to crack her bones. He then stood his ground when Karina started to let out a weird growl.

The Apsara man raised his brow and started laughing at her.

“What was that?”

“A..a growl?” Karina slowly got up to her standing position, secretly knowing that another person was no doubt mock laughing in the shadows at her.

“You sounded like a cat just died.”

The Apsara then grabbed Karina’s wrist and looked down at her with a wicked intention. Karina was done giving all the warnings she possibly could to the mad man. She tried to remain calm and gesture to him that someone was in the cave and that he really, should let her go.

“Don’t do this! It’s not going to be good for you!”

The Apsara was in no mood to fall for her silly false tricks.

“Stop doing that with your eyes. Now. Why don’t you try that growl again?” He placed his free hand at her lower back. Karina hid her cringe and sighed out shaking her head. All whilst someone was very well getting p!ssed off In the shadows.

Karina sighed ignoring his hand raising up her shirt and took a deep inhale.

“Grrr…”

GRRRR!

A deep growl erupted from the cave making the Apsara shook to his bones. He let go of Karina and focused all his attention in the cave. A tall figure emerged from the darkness glowing his green eyes madly at him.

“Oh merde. Un vrai loup ! ” [Oh $hiT. A real wolf!]

"C'est vrai, sale chèvre ” [That’s right you ugly goat !]

The Apsara turned on his heel to escape when suddenly Matteo caught his hood and flung him against the cave wall. The man screamed in fear looking at Matteo, knowing all too well that he was so dead. Matteo grinned seeing him tremble able pulled out his claws to finish the perverted fool off.

“Stop!”

“Karina get out of my way!”

“You can’t kill him!”

They both stared hard at each other. On one hand Matteo had a crazy urge to pull her against him and kiss her roughly into submission. On the other hand, he could see that she was keeping a hard front and trying to be brave against him. A tear rolled down from her eye sensing he was about to rip that man into shreds. Her heart was beating a mile, and although he wished to kill him for touching her up like that, he simply growled at her angrily. Karina nervously gulped back in fear and then watched him go back inside the dark cave, to control his very angry inner wolf.

“Oh merci!”

The Apsara man fell towards Karina’s foot.
Karina simply kicked him away.

“Run away from here, and don’t look back! Got it!”

The Apsara man scrambled up to his feet and quickly and took of running, not daring to look back. The girl had saved her life. She may not be a wolf, but it was crystal clear to him that the wild wolf had her back.

“Matteo?” Karina called out.

She hated going inside the dark, knowing he was lurking inside there.

“Matteo, can you come out now? He’s gone.” She wiped her tear away, composing herself once more.

“Matteo, if you don’t come out right now, I’m heading back to the plane alone!”

Karina turned on her heel after a minute or two and was just about to descend from the hill she had once crawled up from. But her elbow was caught and she was turned around fast, making her gasp out.

“Alone? Who said you could go back alone?”

Karina smiled seeing as he had now calmed down and gone back to his less angry self.

“Well, looks like a long way down. Hey? Didn’t know you could speak French. And that growl. Wow, almost dropped me to my knees, lucky for you I didn’t fall.” Karina chuckled out after talking quickly at him. Matteo hid his grin hiding his amusement with her, then suddenly started walking into her personal space.

“Are you mocking me right now?”

Karina ceased her level of laughter and looked back up at him, shaking her head in silence. He mocked her little head movements making her gulp. Shit. Was he still angry with her? If that was the case, perhaps it was time to distract him.

“Hey, so umm, we should start getting down this hill? I’ll go first!” She tried to side step him, but Matteo gently shoved her backwards.

“Hey!”

“You know, I found it quite amusing when you went down on all fours and tried to scare that fool away.”

“Oh? Well it kind of worked thanks to you, when I went grrr and then you went GRRRAAA..(coughs) Hehe..”

He shortly chuckled at her another attempt to growl.

“Karina I was wrong about you.”

She looked up at him in a little confusion.

“I mean I thought you really hated us. But looks like that’s not the case anymore. It looks to me like you do want to join the wolf pack.” He suddenly pulled out his fangs, and really had her heart rate going.

“What?! No, no, no! You got it wrong! I was only trying to scare him because he thought I was a wolf, which I’m not bbbbb…But Matteo, please calm down. Let’s not get any ideas. I, I, I…I…” Her stuttering had kicked in, for fear he was really going to bite her this time.

“I, what? Karina?”

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry for escaping the plane and getting into trouble with angry bird! Please don’t bite me! I’ll behave!”

Matteo easily hoisted her up in his arms, making Karina automatically wrap her legs around his waist.

Her heart skipped stones when he started down at her deeply. She bit her lower lip nervously as he stared into his beautiful green orbs wondering what he was going to do to her, with his intimidating look.
