113. Veera meets Orlov pt 1

Veera came down the spiralling staircase.

This place was made out of rock and as Veera ventured further, she heard the sounds of waves. She was stunned to see a cave like place. Veera went towards it’s mouth and saw that it led out to a big lake. This place was cold and windy. She then caught sight of a cell in which she saw her aunt Rita laying on the ground, asleep, with her shackles on.

Orlov that prick.

“Aunt Rita!” She called out.
Veera went to touch the bar handles, but suddenly a jolt of electricity zapped her, making her yelp out.

Rita dazedly woke up. Seeing the sight of her niece, on the ground.

“VEERA!” She shouted seeing her past out. Her short shackles stopped her from coming to close to the bars.

Her aunt’s loud voice had woken her up and Veera gasped out catching her breath. Rita was amazed that she recovered rather quickly after that large amount of current that went through her.

“Hey.” She coughed out, getting back on her feet steadily.

“Are you ok?!”

“Fine.” She dusted herself off.

“What are you doing here?!”

Veera ignored the burn marks on her hand and looked around.

“I was invited by a threat. Plus, I’ve come to get you out! So where’s Emerald?” She said looking out in the other few empty cells worriedly.

Rita sighed wiping her tears away and told Veera that she’d been taken by Orlov. Veera grew furious hearing this. But first she had to free her aunt out of jail then go and kick Orlov’s a$$.

She finally found a lever on the wall to stop the electric current and she was just about to switch it off.

“Veera stop don’t do that!”
“What? Why not?”

“You switch it off manually, it will trigger an alarm. It can only be switched off with a key, that Orlov and his minion Guz has.”

Veera sighed and punched the rock wall in a fury. She’d never been so agitated like this before. Rita was surprised to see her actually cracking the wall with that small punch.

“Honey, calm down. I’m ok.” She said trying to get her attention, but Veera was walking back and fourth too focused on her.

“I need to get you out.”

“You can’t, this place will flood with guards and you won’t be able to defeat them Veera, not with their powers.” She stressed.

Suddenly footsteps sounded and a cackle of a laughter came through echoing the walls around. Veera quickly went on her guard.

“Your aunt is right, little Veera.” The danger walked down the stairs with Valerio and Guz.

“Who the hell are you?” She asked the one in the black robe. The figure grinned and removed his hood, showcasing a scar running down his left cheek. Veera noted that he had long black tied up hair and unusual looking brown red eyes with a hint of yellow in his iris.

“Watch that mouth newbie. This here is Sire Orlov, the Master of the Red Tenshis” The short chubby one with a tooth missing said.

Veera also saw Valerio smirking. Had he betrayed her? Of course he had. He was his minion too.

“Nice robe.” Orlov said looking at Veera with a crooked smirk.

“Thanks, I have it dry cleaned every Saturday.” Veera remarked sarcastically making Valerio chuckle.

Orlov chuckled too, and then shot a fire ball just past her head, not finding her sass that funny.
