74. A second B!te?

Three weeks later...

Veera had come a long way.

Thanks to Shou's vigorous training, she managed to learn the basic self defence techniques she could learn.

She could easily practice her moves on the humans. Veera was shocked that she could actually take a person down, thanks to her swift skills in MMA. However when it came to taking down a Were.

Veera was unable to defeat Shou.

He flipped her over his shoulder and slumped her down on the mat easily.

"Again!" Shou snapped and Veera sighed.

She had reached her limit, after training with him for three weeks straight. Infact Shou had worn her out each night, that by night time, Veera was completely exhausted and could only see the bed rather than Ares who had been missing her in bed quite alot.

Veera sat up on the mat and shook her head.

"No." She simply spoke.

Shou could see her frustration, he was truly proud of her for coming this far with him. Most of his students ended up quitting within a week. However, Veera showed patience, courage and the willingness to learn. However he could sense that she was having 'that time of month' and was looking quite tired and almost on the verge of crying.

"ARE YOU QUITING SOLDIER!" He shouted and Veera who had kept her strong willed heart all along, looked up towards her Sensei.

"No." She whimpered out and her eyes failed to keep those big drops of tears from falling out.

Shou felt sad, and his inner wolf scolded him for being so harsh towards her at a very emotional and hormonal time for her.

"No sensei...I..I.." Her throat was dry and croaky and Shou pulled her up gently from the mat, and gave her a surprising hug.

"What's the matter?"

She shook her head and swallowed her sob trying hard not to cry. Shou sighed and rubbed her arms up and down trying to comfort her as best as he could.

"It's ok. Let it out, Veera." Shou said patting her head gently. He had zero romantic feelings towards her. Infact whilst he was hugging Veera, Shou's playful mind travelled to the thought of what Gina was up to.

He wished he could hold her the way he was holding his favourite student.

"What?" Veera looked up at him trying to understand why he suddenly went kind and gentle towards her. Had she done something wrong? OMG! Was this another one of his 'STAY ALERT TESTS?!'

Veera pulled away and went to sucker punch him but Shou blocked her move.

She sighed. After three weeks she still hadn't been able to land a punch at his face. How was she going to defeat Judy if she couldn't land a single punch at Shou? Her heart broke and Veera looked down sad and feeling defeated.

Shou pulled her into his embrace and held her firmly. Veera was confused and waited for him to trip her down again, yet the move didn't come.

"It's ok to feel defeated. Rocky (Balboa), the Karate kid, even Disney's Mulan was knocked down on her ass many times, but you know what Veera. They all got back up. With the help of their sensei and friends. At times like these you need to cry."

Cry? Was he serious, wasn't he the one that mentioned two weeks ago that crying is for weaklings?! Shou had called Veera a weakling when she did not walk through the heated coal like fire path. Infact he had given her hard core training by a waterfall where she learned how to balance two buckets full of water for three hours straight. That surely boosted her muscles no doubt. But here he was asking her to simply cry. Suddenly thinking about Judy laughing her a$$ off at her and also the thief that almost stole her phone that day Veera became sad once more. Would she ever defeat Judy and be brave and face danger again?

Veera needed this, she needed a shoulder to cry on badly and she cried on him heavily. Like a good friend, Shou let her cry on his shoulder.

Ares heard her cry and immediately cut the call he was having with Franko who was updating him about Judy and his minion in New Zealand. Ares rushed towards his balcony and jumped out and landed on the ground.

He saw Shou hugging his mate. What the hell did that playboy prick of a cousin to do his girlfriend?! His crying girlfriend was making Troy worried and anxious about his mate's well being.

**T: WHAT THE HELL DID HE DO TO HER?!

Shou sensed a jealous and a worried storm aka Ares coming his way in a mad heat.

**S: TROY! IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!**

**T: GET AWAY FROM MY MATE YOU PLAY BOY PR1CK!!!**

He growled deeply making the ground shake like a mini earthquake. Shou quickly got the message and pulled away, from the Alpha's girl.

Veera was surprised and Shou quickly pushed her towards her heated boyfriend.

Seeing his blue glowing eyes Troy looked down towards his mate and hugged her.

"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked her with great concern.

"Are you hurt? Why do you look so pale?"

He felt her face and oddly Veera felt quite cold.

"Are you sick?" His worried eyes loomed over her face. He had never seen Veera get sick before, or even looking quite down like this.

"Did he do something, to make you cry?!" He asked strictly making Veera shake by the arms.

"What? No, it's not Shou's fault he was just lending me his shoulder to cry on."


Troy closed his eyes, and Ares returned and swooped her up in his arms.

**T: That's my job!**

"Ares? Put me down, I'm not a baby!" Veera whined and her body was feeling quite achy to even squirm out of his arms.

Ares growled looking down at her possessively. Veera fell silent and saw that he was merely worried about her.

"Tonight you're sleeping with me."

Veera blushed as Ares took her inside the mansion. Her heart skipped a wild beat, as he looked down quite possessively at her.

"Ares, I know you want to make love to me, and trust me I do to, but I can't right now?"

Of course Ares wanted to make love to her, heck he couldn't wait to make her come whilst making her scream his name in pleasure. But looking at her tired and cold self, he resisted the urge to do so.

"Why not?"

Veera blushed as he sat her down on the coach.

"Well, because Ares I got 'aunt flow'" She grabbed his face and whispered the last part to him, making him suddenly blush

"What's aunt Flow? I thought your aunt's name is Rita?"

"Oh my god, I'm having my period!" Veera groaned out and went to change out of her GI

"Oh! You mean the curse?"

"The curse?"

"Yes, we usually refer it to the curse, when we can't...(looks at her lustfully and licks her cheek playfully) You know?"


Veera, chuckled and pushed his head away from her, agreeing with him

"I know."

After having a quick refreshing shower Veera came out in her comfortable clothes. Ares scooped her up in his arms making Veera yelp out of surprise. He smiled at her and she kissed her cheek.

"I've missed you terribly these past couple of weeks."

"So have I." Veera kissed him back.

"Dinner is ready, and I've selected a few good movies to watch, other than Shou's choice of martial arts moves his been telling you to watch..."

Veera and Ares had a wonderful evening together, and as they watched a classic movie, 'Coming to America' Ares kissed her forehead and linked his hand with her.

"Baby, why are you cold?"

"Oh? I'll be fine by tomorrow, this happens every time I get aun...I mean, 'the curse' It's ok, nothing to worry about, some girls get it worse than me."

Ares held her close and Veera ate her chocolate and shared it with him.

After finishing the movie.

Ares was about to turn off the lights and cuddle snuggly with her, however a question lingered on his mind.

"Why were you crying so much today?"

Veera sighed out. She sat up and figured she might as well tell the truth. It was no point bottling the obvious truth that she hated to admit.

"Ares, I love you for supporting me in my journey in becoming stronger. But I've come to realise that I won't be strong enough to face Judy."

Ares was thrilled to hear her realise this, but seeing her feel broken hearted about this made him feel sad. Yes he could see how hard she was trying to prove her self, trying her best to fit in, but that didn't matter to him anymore. Veera had already proven that she was strong in many other possible ways she couldn't see.

"Babe, you can't just quite now? You've come so far! I mean you took down three people the other day."

"They were humans. Not Weres." Veera turned away from him feeling teary eyed again.

"Hey, It's ok to cry infront of me V."

"I'm sorry, I hate you seeing me like this. I usually don't cry like this, but sometimes my periods can be quite annoying."

Ares chuckled pulling her in for a warm hug. Veera snuggled closer towards him, welcoming the warmness of his body on her.

"If you want me to quit the lessons Ares, I'll do it. You're right. I should have listened to you from the start. I will never be able to be strong enough or move fast enough to..."

"Veera never say that you're not strong. Every woman in the world is strong, weather they are human or not."

"Wow, I'm suddenly so horny"

Ares grinned and could sense her immediately.

"Oh my god! I meant to say that in my head!" Veera went to escape him feeling embarrassed and shy, but Ares caught her and pulled her on his lap.

**T: Busted!**

Troy wagged his tail.

Ares chuckled and kissed her tenderly. If she wasn't having her 'curse day' he would have surely given her some good loving with out any interruptions. But for now all he wanted to do was make her feel as warm and comfortable as he possibly could. He pulled away and sighed out.

Veera caught on to his sudden change of concern in his eyes.

"What's wrong?"

He smiled and shook his head.

"Nothing."

"Ares, something's the matter? I know it. What is it Judy? Has she not given back the company yet?"

**T: No because her toy boy Thomas and her are being b!tches again**

Ares looked at her and shook his head at her.

"It's not that. Actually Shou told me that there is another way to make you strong."

Veera was all ears.

"What?"

"You're not going to like it Veera."

Veera pecked his lips and smiled at him.

"Tell me."

Ares pulled Veera off her with a heavy sigh again and starting walking back and fourth, contemplating to tell her or not.

"No, it's too risky. Forget about it."

Veera crawled on the bed and caught his hand looking up at him.

"What is it?"

Ares cursed out in his Italian language and took a sit back on the bed looking at her.

"Shou, he thinks that if I bite you again, there is a possibility of you gaining some of my strength in yourself."

Veera felt chills go down her spine when he mentioned the bite again. She crawled back away from him nervously. She could never forget the painful bite that she first received from him.

"Babe, I would never do that." Ares came towards her and hugged her. Veera hugged him back completely trusting him.

"Wait, I don't understand? Why bite me again? You did that long ago, and I have your mark here." She pulled down her collar, revealing his mark of love to him. Ares smiled and gently kissed it, and pulled her collar back up.

"The second bite, is quite powerful. You see Veera being a Were we have a powerful Venom in our teeth. When the venom enters the blood system an incredibly burning pain from inside is felt. It feels like you're almost dying and some people can handle our venom, and others unfortunately die from it."

"They do?" Veera curiously asked as Ares got back inside the covers with her.

"Yes. I will not take that risk with you, when I first bit you, you passed out Veera."

"Was it because of your venom?"

"I never released my venom that day."

"You didn't?" Veera couldn't help but feel happy about this. Ares truly respected her. She heavily sighed out and held his hand in her entwining her fingers.

Ares kissed the back of her hand preciously.

"For me to release my venom, I would need to bite you for more than ten seconds."

Veera looked at him with great nervousness and curiosity. Just imagining the bite that he gave her made her mark suddenly pain.

Veera winced in pain, and Ares pulled her close and licked at her mark. She gasped out as he did so. This girl was driving him crazy, and Ares couldn't wait to make love to her as soon as she was feeling better.

But for now, he turned off the lights and switched of the TV.

"Don't think about it, and go to sleep Veera."

She nodded her head and snuggled against him.

Unfortunately, Veera couldn't help but think about the bite he talked about.

She had a chance to beat Judy.

"Ow."

**T: Hmm, she definitely wants to get bitten.**

**A: Not happening.**

"Veera stop thinking about it!" Ares growled and kissed her goodnight.
