Chapter 19

I kept my nerves high for fear of being spotted by the hunters and that would cause a lot of trouble.
"If you're hungry, suck my blood." Duster said seriously.
I froze for a moment, then laughed, "Then you'll become the first bloodsucking wolf."
Duster's eyes were also silvery grey, similar looking to my current eyes, but better looking.
He looked at me with those eyes and said sincerely, "No. If that happens, I will end my life. I will not betray my people, and I will not abandon you."
I looked at him in shock, realizing that what he said was true.
"I'm sorry Duster, I shouldn't have said that about you before. You will definitely meet your destiny Mate and we will always be best friends." I said looking at him.
"I don't want to be your friend, you're the Mate I identify with," Duster frowned at me.
"Come on, I'm not going to suck your blood. I can hold out for a few more days now." I continued on my way.
I was relieved to hear the footsteps following behind me.
It's a real headache to reject Duster's genuine feelings.
We soon arrived behind Cecil's apartment.
Fortunately, we hadn't had any trouble along the way, and perhaps they hadn't expected a vampire to visit the hunter's territory.
"Why don't we go through the front door?" Duster asked me before jumping onto the apartment balcony.
"That might be noticed by others." I replied.
"Okay, so why aren't you with me?" He asked again.
"Cecil doesn't know I'm Cheryl, and he hates vampires and won't listen to my explanations. And, probably he'll pull a gun and kill me before I can explain." I remembered my last experience and was still a little scared.
If I die under Cecil, it will be a pain for us all.
"The little guy is so good now?" Duster was a little shocked.
"Hey, don't call him a little guy, he'll get mad. He's pretty good now, he's a good shot and his hands don't shake." I said with a laugh.
Although I only met him once, I could feel that Cecil had indeed become a different person.
"So will he be moving? Aren't you guys assigned apartments by ranking?" Duster worried.
Duster had a point, which made me hesitate for a moment as well, but was still reluctant to just leave.
"It's okay, it's better to go in and see." I insisted.
"Okay, I'm going in, you be safe." Duster admonished me.
"Wait a minute." I called out to him again.
Duster immediately stopped to look at me, "What's wrong?"
"Don't force Cecil if he doesn't want to see me." I said looking at him.
Duster gave me a deep stare and, without speaking, turned and disappeared over the edge of the balcony.
After waiting half an hour for Duster to come out, I was starting to get a little anxious.
Why hasn't Duster come out yet? Is it true that Cecil doesn't want to see me?
Cecil's POV.
In my apartment, I just got out of the shower.
I went over to the bed and rummaged through the drawer and pulled out a parchment scroll and sat down on the bed to read it carefully.
This is what I found in the church's reading room, which had a no-entry sign posted on the door. But I slipped in anyway to find a way to save my sister's life.
Then I found this parchment scroll, which I had carefully administered as described above, but nothing happened.
My sister's body was still burned by the hunters.
I stared indignantly at the parchment scroll in my hand and reached for my lighter, ready to set it on fire as well.
Suddenly, there was a subtle noise from the balcony.
My heart began to pound violently, my scalp tingled, and my eyes stared straight in the direction of the balcony.
Is it my sister who's back?
After a while, I got a good look at the person who had snuck in.
Oh, no! It's Duster, the savage, rude werewolf.
He likes his sister too, but she only has eyes for Tyrone.
I don't really hate him, at least he looks smoother than Tyrone. But not a fan either, his overly strong body makes him look a bit stupid.
"Duster, what are you doing here again, and why didn't you knock?" I looked at him unpleasantly and casually stuffed the parchment scroll under the covers.
"Long time no see, little one ......" Duster smiled and opened his arms towards me.
I ducked Duster, my eyebrows drawing together in impatience, "I'm eighteen years old, not a little one, and watch your language, rude beast."
"Don't you dare call me a beast! If it weren't for Cheryl's sake, I'd kick your ass." Duster pointed at me angrily.
But I couldn't care less about his threats and just looked at him in shock.
"What do you mean Duster, my sister is dead." I pretended to be horrified, but actually tested him.
"No, she's not dead."
I heard Duster say that as if I heard a Christmas carol.
But immediately afterwards, Duster, his face hesitant, added, "But you'd better be a little prepared, she's not exactly alive right now either."
My five senses became a little numb and I looked at Duster in confusion, "Not really alive? What does that mean? Damn it, can you make that clear? You beast!"
I gradually became cranky.
Duster surprisingly didn't get angry, he stared at me with a surprising look of pity in his eyes.
He said, "Cheryl turned into a vampire."
"Impossible! No! You're lying to me!" I looked at Duster angrily and stepped forward and grabbed him hard by the shoulders.
Through Duster's pupils, I saw my own five distorted features.
"Cecil, it's okay, Cheryl is still your sister." Duster reassured me.
I let go of Duster and dropped onto the bed, my eyes staring stiffly at the floor.
"How can she still be a vampire?" I whispered to myself.
"Cheryl said she was a Blood when she woke up from the snow and came back this time to get some truth from you." Duster said.
I didn't say anything, caught in an extremely painful internal struggle.
"Hey, cheer up, kid, Cheryl needs you. She's alive, you should be happy for her, she's been dying to see you." Duster continued to persuade in my ear.
He didn't understand how I felt at all. That magic had worked, but my sister had turned into the vampire I hated most, and how was I going to face her?
"Well, I'll say one last thing, Cheryl is out on the balcony right now, do you want to see her? Or are you too scared to see her? If so, I will take her out of here immediately." Duster said finally.
What? Sister is on the balcony?
I jerked my head up and looked out onto the balcony.
