Chapter 57.

Duster waited outside the town as planned, and Amanda went with me to negotiate with Dennis.
The town where the Campbell family was located was hell, and the vampires here were crazier than the people of Rotali. When Amanda and I entered the town, their slimy sight stalked us like poisonous snakes.
The dense red eyes looked especially eerie in the darkness. They looked like a million beasts hiding in the darkness, ready to pounce.
Amanda subconsciously leaned towards me, and thinking she was scared, I took the initiative to take her hand and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, Amanda, I will protect you."
Perhaps because of Amanda's childish appearance, I always forget that she is two hundred years old.
When I finished, Amanda 'giggled' twice, like a child. Then she waved the magic wand in her hand and pointed it at the nearest low level vampire.
A pillar of green light slammed into him, and almost instantly, the low level vampire was reduced to ashes.
I looked over at Amanda in amazement and exclaimed to her, "Amanda, your magic wand is amazing!"
"Of course, taking care of these disgusting guys is no problem at all for me."
Amanda grinned at me, then scanned the vampires with a mischievous look in her eyes.
The vampires finally stopped staring at us all the time because of Amanda's demonstrated ability.
With the vampires' eyes suppressing their longing, we walked a little further and finally came to a white castle.
Several ravens hovered above the castle, and two owls stood on a bare branch off to the side, just covering the moon overhead.
This was the castle that had appeared in the magic ball, but Burris was no longer here, and Dennis had probably guessed our plan, which made me a little nervous.
I took a few steps forward and raised my hand near the white door to knock when I saw the dark red blood stain on the door panel and my breath caught a little.
I could smell Burris.
At that moment, the door suddenly opened a crack, and then the entire door was slowly opened.
"Miss Chris, welcome to Campbell Castle." Behind the door stood a middle-aged man in a butler's uniform, his tone was polite but his face was devoid of any expression.
I could tell he was a human.
He was just like the blood slaves that were used to feed me, obviously alive but without a trace of life on his face, like a walking corpse.
"Why didn't you invite me?" Amanda questioned him.
She took the opportunity to take my arm and stand with me.
"The Lord Prince only invited Miss Chris." The butler said with his eyes downcast.
"But she's not Chris, she's Cheryl," Amanda argued, and I knew she wanted to accompany me inside.
The butler suddenly lifted his eyes and gazed at us with dark, sunken eyes, repeating in a numb tone, "The Lord Prince has only invited Miss Chris."
"Well, Amanda, you'll just have to wait here." I turned to look at Amanda and leaned close to her to whisper, "If things don't go right, you can leave as soon as you can."
"Okay, then you have to be careful." Amanda looked at me worriedly.
I nodded and followed the butler inside.
The white door slammed shut behind me and I seemed to lose my negotiating position completely, which made me a little nervous, but luckily I had another plan ready.
Led by the butler, I made my way through the long, narrow, empty corridors to the halls of the castle.
The hall had a warm chandelier on and a tall, thin man in a suit sitting on a couch. The moment he saw me, the man immediately stood up, a delighted smile on his face.
I was a little stunned; was this the Prince of the Campbell family?
He looked like he had finally waited for a date, but this was the first time I had seen him, did he know I was coming?
"Hi Chris, I'm Dennis," he said, extending his hand to me with a friendly expression.
Dennis, he was Dennis.
He seemed much livelier than the butler, and not as condescending as Burris.
He didn't look like a vampire, much less a Prince.
I hesitated for a moment, worried that he was playing a trick and didn't immediately reach out to shake him.
The next second, he dispelled my doubts with his actions.
"Ah, Miss Chris, your blood is so delicious." He half-smiled and came up to me, his nose flapping hard a few times, the look of obsessive enjoyment on his face like he was smoking marijuana.
I looked at him with disgust and took a few steps back, "Prince Dennis, you want my blood don't you?"
"Of course, your blood is delicious." Dennis said unapologetically.
I swallowed a few times and negotiated with him as politely as I could, "I know I have the power you want in my blood, and I can offer to give it to you. But I have two requests that I hope you will grant me."
"Offer to give it to me?" Dennis raised his eyebrows as if he was laughing at me.
"Yes. If you don't promise me, you will never get my power." With a quick movement, I fished out a silver dagger against my heart.
Dennis gave a surprised look, but didn't look scared.
"Well, you start with your terms." Dennis said with a smile as he sat back down on the couch.
The situation wasn't quite what I thought it would be, he didn't seem to care if I lived or died, or that he had control over me.
This felt really bad, he just seemed to treat me like a stupid clown.
"Talk about your terms, Ms. Chris, and maybe I'll agree to them." Dennis said with a smile.
There was no other way out, so I hesitated for a moment and made my terms known, "I want you to release Burris and let him and Amanda go."
"Can do." Dennis said immediately.
I froze and looked at him in surprise, not expecting him to agree so quickly.
"He's as much of a threat to me as a piece of shit now." Dennis said disdainfully.
The bastard, I wanted to go up and beat him up.
If Burris hadn't lost the power of inheritance and been betrayed by the elders, he wouldn't have had the chance to stand here and talk big.
But anyway, he agreed to the condition easily, which made me breathe a sigh of relief.
"That's just one condition, what's the other condition?" Dennis then asked me.
It was obvious that he was the one accepting the condition, yet he looked more eager than me, and his eyes even glowed with excitement.
I stared at him cautiously, suddenly remembering that I had a special ability that I hadn't used in a long time.
Even though his level and ability were higher than mine, I wanted to try reading his thoughts.
But just as the thought occurred to me, a sudden sharp pain shot through my head, as if it was about to split open.
"Ah..."
I couldn't help but crouch on the floor holding my head in pain, the dagger in my hand falling to the floor.
"It's amazing, Chris, that you're trying to read my mind." Dennis walked up to me and cupped my jaw.
I was forced to look up at him, trying to argue, but my brain hurt so much I couldn't speak.
It felt like someone had stuck steel needles all over my brain.
"Let me guess, your second condition is ...... for me to give you Tyrone, right?" Dennis said with a smile.
I glared at him, surprised that he had guessed it exactly right.
No, it wasn't necessarily a guess, there was also the possibility that because ......
