Chapter 48

A few minutes later, Katelyn came out, surprisingly with blood on the corner of her mouth.
I frowned unpleasantly and tossed her a handkerchief, saying coldly, "Katelyn, if you keep being so stupid, I'll just have to kill you."
Katelyn had stopped shivering, but still kept her head down.
It was at the sound of my threat that she jerked her head up and looked at me with nothing but fear in her eyes.
"No, I don't want to die, Tyrone," she begged, clutching my hand.
"Then you learn to be smart! You're a piece of shit compared to Cheryl!" I shook her hand off hard.
"I know, Tyrone, I'll get stronger." Katelyn whispered.
I didn't take Katelyn's words seriously, I had completely lost my patience with her.
But Katelyn did learn to be a little smarter and didn't need me to help her find food anymore. We finally reached the Campbell family town on the third day.
I loved this place, where vampires didn't have to suppress their desires, and each vampire had a chain in their hand, with blood slaves chained to the other side of it.
On the streets, they can suck blood as much as they want or have sex with the blood slaves, this is a kingdom that belongs to the vampires.
Dennis was the leader of the city and he lived in a huge castle.
I also bought a chain at the bazaar to keep Katelyn on, so maybe I can use her as a meet and greet gift for Dennis.
Campbell and Howard are two of the most famous bloodlines of this century, but Dennis, Prince of House Campbell, is a better leader than Burris.
I am of the Howard bloodline, and though I loathe the family, I can build the Howard family to be just like Campbell if I defeat Burris.
Dennis and I have always worked together, but that was when I was the Hunter Chief, and now I'm not sure Campbell still wants to work with me, but I should have leverage I can negotiate with him.
The servant went to inform Dennis, and Katelyn and I waited in the hall.
Dennis probably knew I wasn't the leader of the hunters anymore, and we waited outside for a long time, and he never came out.
I waited a little longer, not for Dennis, but another man came in through the front door.
With just a quick glance I recognized it as the Trial Elder of the Howard family, and I was a little surprised to see him here.
He was also here to see Dennis, and the servant had gone back upstairs to inform him.
With a smile on my face, I pulled Katelyn forward to strike up a conversation with Hampton, "Hello, Elder Hampton, it's a pleasure to meet you here."
The old guy gave me a bland look and ignored me, raising his chin slightly and putting on an arrogant face.
I paid no mind to his cold attitude and continued talking to him, "Are you here to work with Prince Dennis as well?"
"Hmm." He let out a perfunctory reply from his nose.
At that moment, Dennis came down from upstairs, apparently he thought more highly of the elder.
"Hampton, what a surprise to see you, but I'm glad." Dennis was wearing a green robe and was slowly making his way down the wooden stairs with a surprised look on his face.
Dennis completely ignores my presence, but I'm not not in a hurry.
Hampton didn't say anything and waited until Dennis was down and standing in front of him before he said in a quiet voice, "Prince Dennis, I've come to join you, and I hear you want that woman Chris too."
Dennis didn't look surprised, he just stared and smiled, his eyes were a bit like fish eyes.
"Hampton, do you mean that you are going to betray Burris?" Dennis asked.
"No, we've all been banished by Burris, I just want a reliable leader. sooner or later Howard will be ruined by Burris." Hampton said through gritted teeth.
"Why? That sounds like a lot of fun." Dennis said excitedly.
He sat down on the couch and the maid quickly brought him a glass of red liquid.
"Make one for my guests as well." Dennis instructed.
Quickly, the maid brought us a glass as well.
Katelyn eagerly went to grab the liquid from the servant's hand when I gripped the chain in my hand and pulled back hard, slamming her to the ground.
"Sorry, Prince Dennis, new pets don't know the rules yet." I bowed and apologized to Dennis.
Dennis smiled and didn't say anything, sweeping a couple of glances up at Katelyn.
"Would the Prince like a taste of this pet? It hasn't been transformed for long, and it still smells a bit human." I inquired immediately.
Dennis looked at it a few more times before finally withdrawing his gaze and shaking his head.
"Hampton, why did Burris expel you?" Dennis asked Hampton, turning his head.
"Because that woman named Chris bewitched him.Burris doesn't want that woman's power anymore, but he still wants to marry that woman ......" Hampton paused for a moment.
"What are you trying to say Hampton," Dennis pursued.
I looked at Hampton curiously as well.
There was a moment of hesitation before Dennis continued, "Burris even lost the power of his family's legacy for that woman, he's a loser now!"
"Burris lost the power of inheritance?" Dennis' eyes widened, "Just for a woman?"
In fact, I was surprised by this as well, it seemed that the woman named Chris was indeed different.
"Yes, just for a woman." Hampton said this with some indignation on his face.
"I'm more interested in Chris, but how do we get her away from Burris?" Dennis chuckled, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly and his eyes looking a little gullible.
"I can work for you, I only have one request. After you gain the woman's power, please let me kill her to avenge my daughter's death." Hampton said in an aside.
Dennis raised an eyebrow, looking unsurprised, "That's why you betrayed Burris."
Hampton frowns, looking like he wants to say something else, but in the end he just hangs his head down.
I knew my chance had come and bowed to Dennis, "I can serve you too, if you'll trust me."
"Is that so? So what is your request Tyrone," Dennis glanced at Katelyn and then looked at me.
I met Dennis's eyes undaunted and said seriously, "I have one request as well, I want to be Prince of House Howard."
Dennis froze for a moment, then laughed out loud. hampton looked over at me in surprise, and those cloudy eyes seemed to hold a bit of contempt.
With a smile on my face, I stopped talking and just waited quietly.
After a while, Dennis finally stopped laughing. The corners of his eyes still rose a little, but his eyes turned completely cold.
"Do you think I would allow the Howard family to continue to exist?" Dennis took a sip of the scarlet liquid in his glass and squinted at me with his eyes.
"That's an easy problem to solve, the Howard family can exist as an offshoot of the Campbell family, and you are the greatest leader of the Bloods. The family affairs are tedious and you should need someone to help you manage them." I explained with a smile.
Dennis surveyed me with a deep gaze, seeming to consider my sincerity.
"That's a request I can consider, let's talk about something else first. hampton sent me word that I'm concerned about what you can do for the Campbell family." Dennis said.
That was exactly why I had come to see Dennis, I had guessed when Burris had come to Chris's rescue that this woman had to be the one Dennis was looking for.
So, with a slight lift of my jaw, I said slowly, "I am Chris' creator, and I can control anything she does.
