Chapter 45.
Cheryl's POV.
It was as if I had fallen into a bloody swamp and my consciousness was in a constant state of chaos.
I knew someone had to break this state before I could regain control of this body, but who could come to my rescue?
"Sister ......"
Out of nowhere, I thought I heard Cecil's voice.
I stiffened and turned my eyes, the movement taking almost all of my willpower. Then I saw Cecil in Vicki's chokehold again, his face rising to a black and purple color.
Cecil was about to run out of breath!
Vicki seemed to notice my eyes as she looked at me provocatively, "Cheryl, are you awake? That's perfect, I'm going to make you watch Cecil die at my hands right in front of you."
Still feeling stiff and desperate to break the rigidity, I was sweating all over in my anxiety.
Finally, at the moment Vicki's sharp claws were about to pierce Cecil's heart, a great panic gave birth to a powerful force.
The moment I regained control, I lunged at Vicki, and the chains that bound me were forcibly ripped off as I felt my body fill with power.
Vicki didn't expect me to break free of the chains, and she was pounced and pinned to the ground by me.
The violent element in me that had just calmed down jumped wildly once again when I thought of the frightening scene I had just witnessed.
I was on top of Vicki, my fingers pinching her wounded shoulder, and Vicki struggled in pain, her red eyes gradually tinged with fear, and through them, I saw myself.
I saw myself through those eyes. Bloodstained hair, a fierce, violent expression, horribly sharp fangs.
I suddenly went crazy and bit down hard on Vicki's neck.
I'm going to kill this woman, just kill her and the me in those eyes will be gone.
Thinking like this, I greedily sucked the tantalizing liquid from my mouth ......
After a while, I gradually calmed down and became completely conscious.
But this lucidity broke me, and I didn't dare let go of Vicki or open my eyes.
"Sister?" It was Cecil's voice.
He sounded a little cautious; he must have been shocked by the way I looked just now.
No, it's not just now, it's what I look like now.
All I had to do was let go of Vicki and then open my eyes and I'd see those gruesome bodies.
It was all my doing, and I'd turned into the monster I loathed most after all.
I didn't reply for too long and Cecil gently put his hand on my shoulder and called out to me again, "Sister, it's okay, Vicki's dead."
"Ah-" I jerked Vicki loose, covering my head with my hands and letting out a hiss of pain.
"Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl ......" Cecil stopped calling me sister as he called my name over and over again, holding me hard in his arms.
I was Cheryl, I was a vampire hunter. I've become a vampire too, a monster that kills humans indiscriminately.
No, I was worse than a monster, I was a beast with no humanity.
"Cecil, I've killed so many people, I don't know what's wrong with me, I just suddenly became violent." I grabbed Cecil's shirt and cried out in pain.
"It's not your fault Cheryl, I think you should rest for a while." Cecil soothed me softly, exuding a worried look.
With that, Cecil stood up with me in his arms, his body was also covered in cuts and his neck was still bleeding.
Blood ......
I immediately moved my eyes away from staring at his neck and I buried my face in Cecil's arms, my desire for blood didn't seem to be satisfied at all.
Cecil's arms held me smoothly and I didn't resist, I really didn't have the strength left.
"Oh, no!"
A sudden, deep roar of pain rang out ahead of me.
I was jolted awake and looked in the direction of the source of the voice.
It was that bastard Hampton, who was Vicki's father. Looking at the grief-stricken expression on his face, I suddenly felt the thrill of getting back at the other guy.
Hampton had obviously come to inspect the results, but he didn't expect to see his own daughter in a pile of corpses.
It was as if I could see Hampton's complacent expression instantly turn to horror, and it was excruciating.
Hampton ignored me and Cecil and ran towards Vicki's body.
He was a little bloated and ran like a penguin, which looked a little comical.
"Vicki, my poor daughter!" Hampton wailed.
"Come on, Cecil," I said to Cecil.
"Okay." Cecil hugged and continued to walk out the door.
"Stop!" Hampton hissed, harshly, "You killed my daughter, damned cunts, and I should have killed you long ago!"
Hampton had completely lost his old manners.
But Cecil didn't heed his words and carried me onward.
"I told you to stop! Damn it!" Hampton cursed angrily.
The next second, he was in front of Cecil and me, blocking our path.
"Serves you right, old man, and it's all because of you." I looked at him coldly, "You can only glare at me like that, but you can't kill me, because I have the power you need."
Hampton extended his fangs and claws as he looked at me with a fierce look in his eyes, showing clear murderous intent towards me.
"Cecil, put me down." I ordered to Cecil.
Although I felt exhausted all over, I hated Hampton for what he had done to me. If he was going to fight me now, then I would kill him even if it cost me my life.
But Cecil didn't listen to my words, he looked at Hampton warily and gripped the bow in his hand tightly.
"Cecil, are you going to fight just like that? Then we'll all be dead for sure." I said helplessly.
But before either of us could move, Mopso, who had followed Hampton here, stopped him first.
"Calm down Hampton, the Prince needs her power, she'll die sooner or later." Mopso persuaded.
Hampton was still emotional, he still had tears on his face.
He went to push Mopso hard and said angrily, "No, you can't understand how I feel, I will torture them hard and kill them again, I will curse their souls to fall into hell!"
Mopso didn't have a daughter, of course he couldn't understand Hampton's feelings, all he cared about was the Prince's access to my power.
"Hey, get out of here, you two!" Mopso shouted at us.
Cecil couldn't make a decision, so he looked down at me and asked, "Sister, do we have to get out of here first?"
I hesitated for a moment and said, "Let's go."
I was feeling a little tired and I didn't want to involve Cecil in this.
Cecil walked out of the building with me in his arms. I leaned into Cecil's arms with my eyes closed, suddenly missing Burris a little.
I didn't know what else these two old guys would do to me, Cecil and I were no match for them.
But now that they're having a disagreement, they shouldn't make a move for a while.
I was struggling to think of a response when suddenly, I felt a tug on my body.
Then, I left Cecil's arms and fell into a familiar embrace.
