Chapter 26
I had to let go of Katelyn for a while and immediately went over to catch Cecil.
Katelyn took the opportunity to run, but I couldn't care about her for the moment because Cecil's face was white and the skin of his body was rolling and he was shivering.
"Cecil, what's wrong with you? Can you hear me?" I cupped his face anxiously.
But Cecil didn't answer me, his eyes were tightly closed, his sockets deep.Cecil was unconscious, only his body was trembling.
My hands were shaking too, I was so flustered I didn't know what to do for a moment.
But I have to calm down, I'm the only one who can save Cecil now, Cecil must have been poisoned by Katelyn, I have to go to Katelyn and ask for the antidote.
I sent Cecil back to the hotel first and got the owner to rent two strong men to watch the door.
Time was of the essence, and I had to find Katelyn immediately.
Good thing Katelyn's neck had just bled from my strangulation, now I could rely on the scent of her blood to find her.
I went back to Katelyn's apartment again and it was apparently empty, she hadn't returned.
From this apartment, I moved onward along the scent of blood.
I walked through a jungle, passed another footbridge, and the next path looked somewhat familiar.
This seems to be the way to Tyrone's house.
Tyrone and I rarely get to date, and almost every date goes outside.
I've only been to Tyrone's house once, and that time because I learned that Tyrone was sick and I wanted to go take care of him. So I found Tyrone's home address from the archives.
That was the one time I remembered the way to Tyrone's house.
But in the end I couldn't get in, I rang the doorbell and no one ever came to the door. I had to message Tyrone, but he told me to go back, with two exclamation points after the text.
It's a little strange even now to think about it, that Tyrone would be mad at me for going to his house. And as his lover, I had never been to his house.
Suddenly, I realized that I didn't actually know Tyrone, and that he seemed to have a lot of secrets he was keeping from me.
That doesn't stop me from continuing to love him though, he must have secrets he can't tell.
It's normal, everyone has secrets.
It's no surprise that Katelyn went to Tyrone, she must have wanted to tell him that I was alive and turned into a vampire.
Or maybe Katelyn is still trying to tell Tyrone that Cecil betrayed the hunters.
Tyrone wouldn't necessarily let Katelyn in the door, though.
I quickened my pace, more urgently trying to catch Katelyn.
I didn't want Tyrone to know who I was now as a vampire through Katelyn.
But to my surprise, the smell of Katelyn's blood disappeared in front of Tyrone's house.
Tyrone actually let her in?
I developed a sense of loss of being treated differently, and a resentment towards Tyrone, and I even wondered if Tyrone had ever really pursued me?
Tyrone's POV.
I was in the wine stash when Katelyn arrived.
I'm due for a potion today, but I'm still on the fence about these potions that I paid good money for and they're worse than poison.
Suddenly, the smell of blood that I smelled came from the person outside who kept knocking on the door.
Doesn't the person knocking on the door want to live? This is like food on the table for me.
I haven't drawn blood in half a month, so I wouldn't have to drink this awful potion if I could.
But that would run the risk of being exposed. If people knew I was a damn vampire, I would no longer be able to be the leader of the Hunter Battalion.
Finally, I couldn't resist my inner thirst for blood and went out to answer the door wearing only a nightgown.
This man had to die! During this walk from the second floor to the living room, I was planning in my head what to do with the man's body.
It's actually quite disposable, you can just burn him in a fire or you can sprinkle him with a potion and his body will instantly rot into a puddle of liquid with not even a bone left.
I'm just torn on which way I can make this guy die a little worse so he understands that disturbing someone's rest in the middle of the night is not a polite thing to do.
But when I opened the door, I saw Katelyn standing against the wall.
It surprised me a little that Katelyn was the sexiest and most obedient of my many lovers.
I told her not to come to my house and she hasn't come once, we usually go to a hotel or her apartment so I'd like to keep her for a few more months.
When I take the initiative to invite her to my home, when she is full of excitement and pleasure, I will then bite her neck, when the blood is most delicious.
Katelyn's face was a little pale and the tantalizing smell came from her neck.Katelyn's neck had three black and purple scratches surrounded by dried blood stains and fresh blood that continued to drip from there.
"Sweetie, what's wrong with you?" I asked with concern as I stepped forward and took her into my arms.
Because of this position, my chin landed lightly on the top of Katelyn's hair and I took the opportunity to lick my dry lips.
"It's Cheryl! Cheryl's back to get back at me! She's coming after me tonight with Cecil.Tyrone, you have to help me!" Katelyn said shaking in my arms.
I froze, temporarily putting away the idea of biting Katelyn because what she had just said was so over the top.
How can Cheryl still be alive?
But Katelyn does seem to have suffered an attack, and I think I should go find out what happened to her first.
"No concern, honey, I'll protect you. Go into your room and let me clean your wounds, okay?" I said softly to Katelyn, gently stroking her brown hair.
"Mmm." Katelyn answered in a low whisper, like a sheepish lamb.
Katelyn looked up at me with fascination and said, "Tyrone, you're so sweet. Please don't ever leave me, or I'll surely die."
I smile at Katelyn and reassure her, "Of course not."
At least while she's alive, I'll always love her as much as I loved Cheryl back then.
Cheryl's POV.
I stood at Tyrone's door hesitantly, still not making up my mind to ring the doorbell.
I was afraid to see the look of disgust in Tyrone's eyes.
But Cecil is still waiting for me, and I have to get the antidote from Katelyn.
In the end, I decided to sneak in and find them first, preferably with the chance to take Katelyn without Tyrone knowing.
I slipped through the chimney of Tyrone's house, and although it was a bit choking, I made it into Tyrone's kitchen without incident.
It's a bit dark in here though. the smell of Katelyn's blood is gone, I've never been here before and I have to feel my way through the darkness.
Fortunately, Bloods can see their surroundings even in dark places.
Tyrone's apartment is a small two-story cottage with the kitchen attached to the living room all on the first floor. So I guess Tyrone's bedroom would be on the second floor.
I went to the kitchen door and carefully opened a crack in it. There was indeed a living room outside, and no one was there.
Katelyn and Tyrone are supposed to be going to the second floor.
I left the kitchen, ready to head straight upstairs, glancing casually at the dimly lit living room as I turned around.
By now, I had one foot on the mahogany staircase.
I frowned at the thought of the flashing image I'd just had, and couldn't help but turn my head to look at the living room again before my eyes suddenly settled on the south wall of the living room.
There was a rope net fixed to the wall that was used to hang various weapons. At this moment, however, there were many bat ...... or bat corpses hanging on the rope net.
I had never been inside Tyrone's apartment, and in my fantasy, Tyrone's home was supposed to be neat, clean, warm, with a faint scent in the air.
But what was in front of me was not quite what I had imagined. tyrone's kitchen seemed to have been unused for a long time, even covered in dust and cobwebs.
The living room also smelled eerie and eerie, and there was a revolting acidic smell in the air, like strong sulfuric acid that could produce corrosive blood and flesh just by the smell.
I felt an inexplicable pang of discomfort and turned to walk slowly upstairs.
The hallway on the second floor was also unlit, with only a little light leaking out from under a white door.
I didn't have to get any closer to hear Katelyn's voice as she confided in Tyrone.
"It's true, Tyrone, that bitch Cheryl isn't dead. She turned into a vampire and came with Cecil to get back at me." Katelyn's voice was much lower, yet still shrill.
I ducked into the adjacent room, which housed a number of wooden shelves filled with a variety of beautiful glass bottles.
It's supposed to be a wine stash, I think.
This is by far the most normal place I've seen in Tyrone's house.
"But Cheryl's body was burned by me, wasn't it? Have you been tricked by them?" Tyrone's familiar voice rang out from next door.
