Chapter 25

"Ah! You son of a bitch!" Just as I was about to pull the door open, Katelyn's scream rang out again from outside. I immediately stopped moving.
"Vile woman, how dare you backstab me!" Cecil said angrily.
I opened a thin crack in the door and saw Katelyn pinned to the floor by Cecil.
Katelyn's hands are being tackled by Cecil with one hand. And Cecil's other hand was rubbing his eyes.
The vile woman probably sprinkled Cecil's eyes with powder when he wasn't looking. Only to be subdued by Cecil anyway.
It seems Cecil didn't lie to me, Katelyn's abilities have really regressed, but it could also be that Cecil has improved. Even if Katelyn had backstabbed Cecil, she didn't win the fight.
Cecil didn't look terribly hurt, just a little red in the eye, and I decided it was best to stay out for now.
And, if unfortunately Katelyn, the cunning woman, gets away, she'll be sure to let Tyrone know that Cecil is with the vampire, and then Tyrone will order the hunters to hunt Cecil down.
With that in mind, I closed the door again.
"Let go of me, you bastard!" Katelyn was still struggling, she wasn't afraid to piss Cecil off at all.
"Shut the fuck up!" Cecil gave Katelyn a slap.
Katelyn screamed loudly, "Ah, Cecil! How dare you hit me! Tyrone will not get around you!"
"If you answer my questions honestly, maybe you'll have a chance to sue the hypocritical man." Cecil sneered.
Well, Cecil didn't care what Tyrone thought, he never liked Tyrone very much.I was the one who took care of the vampire who killed his family for him back in the day, and he's been following me ever since.
Cecil is different from Duster in that Duster will find a way to become stronger than his opponent when he encounters a strong opponent, but Cecil is afraid of vampires because he has witnessed their evil deeds.
If it weren't for me, he would have left Hunter Camp a long time ago.
Katelyn seemed to be stunned by Cecil and all I could hear were her ragged gasps. I bet Katelyn is now glaring at Cecil with her bulbous eyes.
"You better not look at me like that, I don't take pity on any other woman but Sister Cheryl." Cecil said coldly.
"Hmph!" Katelyn snorted disdainfully and sarcastically, "Too bad your sister Cheryl is dead. If you really liked her so much, you should go to hell with her, and then you'll know how badly she died."
Slap! With a soft, crisp thud, Cecil seemed to give Katelyn another slap.
"You bitch! You were the one who poisoned my sister and got someone to ambush her, weren't you?" Cecil questioned her in a cold voice.
"Damn it, Cecil, you're a rude bastard!" Katelyn cursed angrily.
Then, in a letdown, she exclaimed, "Yes, I killed your sister. But Cheryl deserves to die, she's a traitor to the Hunter Camp! I really should have killed you, the little bastard, too!"
Oh! Listening to these assholes like Katelyn, I can't help but go out and slap her twice too.
Katelyn's big boobs work better than her brain. She's high on the hunter list because she likes to use shady tactics, otherwise she'd have been killed a long time ago.
Pop! Slap! Two slaps sounded in quick succession.
Cecil did what I wanted to do for me, and his breathing sounded a little rushed. Maybe it was because he was trying desperately to hold back the thought of killing the woman immediately.
Cecil suppressed his anger and continued to question Katelyn, "That's why you poisoned Cheryl's sister so she could take on the form of a vampire. You tried to frame her, didn't you?"
"No! What are you babbling about?" Katelyn, however, immediately denied it.
"Are you still trying to weasel your way out of this?" Cecil asked in a cold voice.
"Your sister was already a vampire, my poison only made her lose her strength. The hunters saw Cheryl turn into a vampire at the church, don't you dare try to falsely accuse me!" Katelyn said angrily.
Probably because Katelyn's face was swollen from Cecil's punch, her voice sounded a little unclear.
"You put your tongue in your mouth before you speak!" Cecil said sharply.
"Damn, I didn't want to talk like that either, all because you bastard hit so hard. Are your ears deaf?" Katelyn said angrily.
"You mean you poisoned Cheryl so that she wouldn't turn into a vampire, is that what you're saying? You swear you're not lying." Cecil asked in a different way.
"Of course not, Cecil, do you really want to be crazy? How in the world would you get a drug like that? Cheryl is a vampire, you don't have to make excuses for her, it doesn't make any sense!" Katelyn said meanly.
"If that's the case, why didn't you just poison her? I don't believe you're a vicious woman because you're soft-hearted." Cecil asked.
"Are you an idiot? Deadly poisons can smell, Cheryl's dog nose must be able to smell them." Katelyn said pointedly.
Slap! Katelyn gets another slap from Cecil.
"Is there anything else to ask? Sister, if there isn't any more, I'll kill her immediately." Cecil said this to me.
But that statement not only revealed my existence, it revealed who I was.
"What are you babbling about? You're crazy, Cecil," Katelyn said with a hint of panic in her voice.
I sighed helplessly and walked out anyway.
It doesn't matter, as long as Katelyn is dead, no one will know that Cecil is with a vampire.
"Oh! God, who are you? Out of nowhere!" Katelyn, pinned to the ground by Cecil, looked at me in horror.
"Cecil's not crazy, I'm Cheryl. i'm back Katelyn, it's been a while." I greeted Katelyn with a smile.
Katelyn looked at me in shock, with her red lips slightly open. Because Katelyn's cheeks were swollen from Cecil's beating, her expression now looked a bit comical.
I stepped forward and pinched her red cheek, questioning her coldly, "Katelyn, do you promise you're not lying? That the poison you gave me really only had the effect of making me lose my strength?"
"Are you ...... you really Cheryl? No way.Cheryl is dead!"
Katelyn didn't answer my question, the snarky woman who seemed to be intimidated by my presence.
But I have the ability to read minds now, and deciphering human thoughts is easy.
I leaned down to look at Katelyn, and through her gradually widening eyes, I saw in her pupils my gray eyes turning red.
I just realized that my eyes change color when I use my powers.
"You ...... you're a vampire?!" Katelyn screamed.
I ignored Katelyn and instead froze in place. katelyn didn't say panic, the poison she gave me really only had the effect of losing my strength.
So why the hell had I become a vampire? I felt like everything was back to square one.
"Look out!" Cecil suddenly shrieked from beside me.
Before I had time to react, my body was dragged backwards to the side by a strong force.
I was pulled behind me by Cecil, who in turn deflected a sneak attack from Katelyn, who had a small but sharp scythe in her hand, something that had just nearly slashed me in the face.
The hunter's cold weapons were silver, and if a vampire was wounded by one of these weapons, the wound would have a hard time healing.
Cecil grabbed the serrated blade with his hand and deflected the attack for me, but Cecil's hand was bleeding.
I felt a little dryness in my throat out of a desire for blood. Fortunately, my anger at Katelyn temporarily overshadowed the inner craving.
"Katelyn, I'm going to kill you!" I said angrily.
Humans are too fragile for me, especially stupid women like Katelyn. I teleported to her, and before she could do anything to resist, I had her by the throat.
My nails gradually lengthened, sinking into her throat as blood slid down her neck and into her white nightgown.
If I exerted just a little more force, she would immediately have her neck snapped by me. But I was enjoying watching Katelyn struggle in pain, so I just slowly tightened the force.
"Oh! Cecil, what's wrong with you?"
Suddenly, I saw with my afterimage that Cecil's body was shaking as if it was about to collapse.
Is there poison on Katelyn's scythe, too?
