Chapter 109: Nineteen

*Today is the oldest you have been and the youngest you’ll ever be again. – Eleanor Roosevelt*

JD woke up on his birthday with Dean laying on his shoulder. Since the first night that she had spent in his bed, this was where she had slept. He was not going to object, he enjoyed sleeping with her.

The only problem he had was in the mornings.

He very carefully slid out of her arms and then made his way into the bathroom. Turning on the shower, he stripped out of his pajamas and tossed them in the hamper. Stepping into the shower, he looked down at the hard member. Not for the first time, he thought that Reese had more strength than he did.

Forgetting the man and picturing the woman in his bed, he wrapped his hand around his cock. Thanks to their shower together and her stunt afterwards, he didn’t have to imagine her body. Her plump breasts, trim waist and strong thighs.

The well-trimmed patch of hair between her legs led to what he knew could be his piece of heaven. She would be tight, having never been touched. His grip tightened and he slowed his stroke.

He thought about some of their heavier make out sessions. The light moans and breathy sighs. The soft way that she would his name. Her featherlight caress of his skin contrasted by her short nails digging into his back.

The way he would settle between her legs and their bodies fit together. How her legs fit perfectly around his waist.

The image of Dean’s expression when he had pushed her to an orgasm. She had arched against him, grinding against his cock trapped in his jeans. Her breath had caught, and a tremor ran through her body.

He wanted to know what it felt like inside her. The thought of her coming on his cock, sent him over the edge. His cock pulsed in his hand as his hips rocked into his fist.

JD sat down on the built in bench to catch his breath. He glanced out through the glass wall to make sure that the door was still shut. He had locked the bedroom door. but so often, he forgot to lock the one to the closet.

Standing up, he grabbed the handheld sprayer and washed his come off the wall before washing his hair and body.

He got out and dried off, making sure that both doors were locked. He quickly dressed in the closet before stepping out into the bedroom through the bathroom door.
Dean still lay in the bed asleep in his t-shirt. She no longer slept in her pajamas. Or his shorts. Just a T-shirt and he woke up every morning wanting her.

Walking over, JD scratched Monster on the head and kissed Dean on her temple. As he went down the hall, he thought about how normal it all felt. He could see it in his mind’s eye as if it were real. Starting the coffee pot, he thought about having kids.

Who would they look like?

His thoughts came to a screeching halt as he realized what he was thinking. Gripping the counter, he was taking deep breaths to calm himself and did not hear the hallway door open.

“JD? Are you okay?” Helen asked.

He nodded and then shook his head.

She sat the small cake on the counter and rubbed his back. “Talk to me.”

“I…” he swallowed and then looked at his mom. “I think I love Dean.”

“Oh, honey, that’s not a bad thing.” She assured him.

“It just… I wasn’t expecting to think about that. It just hit me.”

“Just take your time.” Helen advised her son.

He turned to her and hugged her. “Love you, mom.”

“Love you too, JD.” She kissed his cheek. “Happy birthday.”

“Thanks mom.”

“Do you still want to do dinner tonight?”

“Yeah. I haven’t talked to Dean about it yet.” He admitted quietly.

“About what?” Dean asked as she came down the hall with Monster running towards Helen.

“Good morning, Monster.” Helen laughed as he did circles next to her. “Come on, let’s get you in your run.”

Helen began to walk to the kitchen door since it was closer to the dog run. He walked beside her looking up at her as if the woman hung the moon, controlled the treats and caused the sun to rise.

“My dog is absolutely in love with your mom.” Dean laughed as she stepped into JD’s arms.

“I’m not telling you that she probably has a treat in her pocket.” He said tipping her chin up for a kiss.

He had jacked off less than thirty minutes ago and now he was growing hard again. All it took was a simple touch and he wanted her more than he had before.

Except now that the picture was in his head, he wanted more. He wanted a life with Dean. He wanted to come home from the Navy to her. He wanted little Dean’s running around.

Those thoughts were still rattling around his brain after they got back from dinner at Pier and Beam. Helen had suggested Cognac, but JD saw that as her and Reese’s place. Pier and Beam was his place with Dean.

He was sitting outside by the pool when Reese walked over and handed him a soda. Not something that he typically drank, but he accepted it.

“Something’s on your mind.” Reese said as he sat down in the other chair.

“Mom talk to you?”

The older man chuckled. “Your mom talks to me about a lot of things. Might want to clarify.”

“About me.”

“It’s your birthday. She never thought that she would have another baby. Said she was afraid of you feeling left out with everything going on. Jaxon having a baby, Jolene and everything going on with her and now Dean.”

“Really?” JD looked at him surprised. “Mom has *never* made me feel anything but loved. She’s always been there for me.”

“That will make her feel better.” Reese said and then they sat in silence for a few minutes.

“I think I’m in love with Dean.” JD finally admitted.

Reese stared at the younger man. That was not what he was expecting to hear. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting. But that was definitely not it.

“Well, damn.” Reese muttered. “So why are you out here?”

“She’s taking a shower and I had to get away. Just the thought of her in my shower…” he grinned sheepishly.

“You don’t tell me about my niece, I won’t tell you about your mom.” Reese offered.

“Deal.”

“Told you before, be a man.”

“I’m not going to take advantage of her. She still wakes up in the middle of the night crying.” JD shook his head. “I have a swim meet next month and I don’t want to leave her.”

“Then I guess we’re going to your meet.” Reese grinned at him as they heard the kitchen door open.

“What are you two doing out here?” Dean asked as she sat next to JD. He leaned in and kissed her hair and Reese grinned.

“Talking about the meet that JD has next month. We’ll get the logistics worked out tomorrow.” He stood up and kissed Dean on her cheek. “Love you, princess.”

“Love you, too.” She said as he walked towards his house.

“Let’s go inside.” JD suggested as he stood up and held out a hand to her.
