Chapter 171: Graduates

*I enlisted when I was a boy. The Navy looked after me like my mother. It fed me, took care of me and gave me wonderful opportunities. – Tony Curtis*
JD had kept his eyes forward the entire time, never looking around. Luckily, his family was sitting within his line of sight. And Dean was wearing an outfit with bright blue and he could only hope that it meant that she was wearing *his* shoes.
When he went to get his award, his eyes drifted towards her feet, and he caught a glimpse of the blue shoes that he declared were his. Keeping his eyes straight ahead, he reported in and received his accolade. Marching back to his place, he mentally pumped his fist in the air and silently screamed in celebration. He loved those shoes.
The speech and rest of the ceremony seemed to drag on forever and ever. Although JD knew the whole ceremony was only about an hour and a half, after he found his girl, it seemed to take the rest of the day. And maybe part of the following week.
But finally, the nine words that he wanted to hear echoed around him and his fellow graduates.
“Liberty call. Liberty call. Liberty call. Now fall out.”
The announcement was not even complete when he saw Dean moving towards him. She was one of the first ones to reach the graduates and he gently pushed his battle buddy out of the way. Never before had JD actually seen a woman throw themselves at their man. Technically, he still had not seen it, but he did experience it.
Bracing himself, he caught her as she jumped onto him, arms and legs wrapping around him. His hands pulled her to him and then slid down to cup her ass, tucking her skirt and preventing anyone from seeing what was his. On the days that were hard, when he thought he had nothing else to give, he remembered how she looked as she came apart for him.
Even now, with his mother and siblings approaching them, he thought about how she tasted. Could practically taste her on his tongue. Her sighs and moans were what he heard instead of the voices of the people around them.
“Hi.” She grinned at him.
“Fuck that.” He growled just before he claimed her mouth in a rough and desperate kiss.
Whimpering, Dean sank into the kiss and tightened her grip on him. A possessive growl rumbled in his throat as he ignored his family approaching them.
“Do you think he’s aware that we’re here?” Jaxon asked with a grin.
“He’s aware.” Helen grinned. “He just doesn’t care.”
“How would you be if you were away from Bunny and Ty for nearly three months?” Jolene asked with a smirk.
With a smirk of his own, he replied, “Thirsty.”
“He’s getting himself a good drink.” Helen chuckled as one of the other graduates noticed the couple.
“Reese!” the graduate exclaimed. “What the fuck, man?”
Chuckling, he broke off the kiss, giving her a few quick pecks before putting her on her feet. He kept her anchored to his side as he hugged his mom and older siblings. Then he turned his attention to the small gathering of graduates who looked at him with wide eyes and gaping mouths.
“Holmes, Marvin, Buckley,” he tilted his head towards his mom, “this is my mom, Helen,” the three men shook her hand and gave polite greetings. “My oldest brother, Jaxon.” The process was repeated. “My oldest sister, Jolene.” They again shook hands and gave polite greetings. They were wanting to know about the woman who was plastered to him. She was *not* what they were expecting.
“And this,” kiss, “lovely lady,” kiss, “is my *girl*, Dean.” A slightly deeper kiss.
Holmes was the first to recover and shook her hand. “Nice to meet you, ma’am.”
“Sailor.” She replied before accepting the next hand and greeting and then the third.
“You’ll have to forgive our shock,” Buckley explained as he shook her hand. “Reese only said that he was dating a fellow swim team member named Dean.” He gave an embarrassed shrug. “We assumed he was gay.”
Laughing, Dean leaned into JD’s chest. “Wrong brother.”
Unable to help himself, Jaxon winked at the trio. Jolene and Helen both smothered laughs as the three young sailors turned bright red. A fourth sailor holding a man’s hand joined the group.
“This must be her.” The new sailor said pulling Dean away from JD. He let her go but grabbed her hand to keep her close. “Oh, honey, you got a good guy.”
“Yeah.” Dean agreed as she returned the hug. “I plan on keeping him.”
“I would.” He let go of her and grabbed his boyfriend’s hand and pulled him into the group. “This is my man, Charleston.”
Shifting Dean against him, JD offered his hand. “Nice to meet you, man.”
“Thanks, those are some killer shoes.” He shook JD’s hand, but his eyes were drawn to Dean’s bright blue shoes.
“Those are *my* shoes.” JD grinned as he turned his head and pressed his mouth to Dean’s ear to whisper softly. “Can’t wait to feel them wrapped around me again.”
Snickering, Jaxon grinned at his little brother. “How do you walk in them?”
“I wear them a different way.” JD smirked back.
“From what I hear, you haven’t.” Jaxon teased his younger brother.
“Boys.” Helen warned.
Jolene laughed. “What happened to not wanting to hear about your brother’s sex life?”
“Jolene, enough.” Helen warned and with the final warning, the three siblings fell silent. She turned her attention to the graduates. “My husband has arranged a lunch buffet at our hotel, if you’d like to join us.”
“I’ll let my parents know.” Holmes said as he motioned to the couple standing at the edge of the group.
Helen walked over and introduced herself and invited them to the hotel for lunch.
“You know,” Jaxon observed, “for a sub, she’s very aggressive.”
“Uncle O would get bored with a typical sub.” Dean pointed out, with an evil grin. “He likes to make his Kitten get loud.”
“And they were very loud last night.” Jolene complained.
“I’m surprised you could hear them over your *Alpha*making you scream.” Jaxon smirked.
“Suddenly, I am so damned glad that I’m not staying at the hotel tonight.”
“You’re not?” Dean asked, with tears filling her eyes.
“No, baby.” He pulled her close and caught a tear with his thumb. “Navy says I have to be back by eight tonight.”
“Wrong.” Chief Phillips said from where he stood. “As long as you have a liberty buddy, you don’t have to be back until Sunday. And my wife says that you have a Marine ready to sign as your liberty buddy.”
“I do?” JD asked confused.
The two siblings and Dean grinned at each other. “Childs.”
