Chapter 24: I want you to be my queen

*Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see. – Mark Twain*

Monday morning Helen arrived at work and everyone was still buzzing about Friday night. While she was on her lunch break, Katherine popped her head into the break room.

“There’s a delivery for you.”

“Me?” Helen asked confused. At her insistence, Helen followed the other woman back up to the front. Sitting on the reception desk was a large bouquet of pink roses.

“Eighteen.” Tina declared.

“We counted.” Erica explained.

“Twice.” Tina confirmed and Erica nodded while making a V with her fingers.

“And they’re for me?”

“You’re the only Helen here.” Katherine said pointing at the card.

Helen took the florist card out of the envelope nervously. In the same elegant writing that was on her gift certificate she read the simple note.

‘Thinking about you and can’t wait for tonight. Reese.’

The women gushed, except Donna. She was quite jealous. Why did he want that old bag when she had been throwing herself at him?

But Helen ignored her and remained on cloud nine. She considered taking them with her at the end of the day, but was afraid that with them sitting in the car, they would wilt. When she walked into the gym, Reese was already there and smiled at her.

As usual, she blushed.

Going through her regular Monday routine, Helen was aware of someone watching her. Whenever she looked around, Reese would smile at her. Little did she know that he typically watched her while she worked out.

After her workout and shower, she found Reese standing by the desk talking with Joel. She walked towards the door, afraid that he would have changed his mind. But he gently caught her with an arm around her waist and pulled her to his side.

“You two have fun.” Joel said as he stood up from where he was leaning against the counter.

“Thanks.” Helen murmured.

The two men shook hands and then Reese looked down at Helen with a smile. “Are you ready?”

“I guess.” She said softly. “I don’t know what to do.”

“Just be yourself, sweetheart.” He answered. “Do you want to take your car or ride with me?”

“I guess I’ll ride with you.”

“If you’re not comfortable, let me know.”

“It’s just…” She sighed. “I haven’t dated since before I was married. And even then, I didn’t date much. I really don’t know what to do.”

“Just be yourself and have fun. I’m not going to throw you on the table and ravish you in the restaurant. Unless you want me to, then I’ll ask for a private dining room.”

Helen looked down as she blushed.

“Well, the offer still stands.” He placed his hand at the small of her back and led her outside to his Impala. “Have you ever been to Cognac?”

“Heavens, no.” She gave a small laugh. “I can’t afford anything like that. I certainly don’t have anything to wear to a place that fancy.”

“I like the dress that you wore Friday night.” He said opening the door for her.

“My… I guess she’s my son’s girlfriend, I really don’t know, it’s kinda complicated.” She blushed again. “Sorry, I babble when I’m nervous.”

“Do I make you nervous?”

“Yes. No. I don’t know. It’s complicated.”

He gently caressed her cheek. “The best things in life, usually are complicated.”

Afraid that her knees would give out, Helen slipped into the car. He placed her gym bag in the trunk before getting in himself. The engine roared to life and he took them out of the parking lot and towards the main street of town. Turning into a parking lot, he winked at her confused look.

It was a two story outdoor mall type area with two food truck pavilions. Although this was more her style, she doubted that it was his. Her confusion grew when he parked in front of a boutique named P's & Q's. She reached for the door handle at the same time that he reached for his. His large hand covered hers.

“Wait.”

Helen nodded at the soft command.

Reese crossed in front of the car and then opened the door and offered her a hand. She really was not used to this treatment.

Bells above the door jingled announcing their arrival. A tall woman with a full figure looked up and smiled before coming around the counter and hugging Reese.

“Uncle Owen! I wasn’t expecting you.”

He hugged her back and kissed her temple. “Hey, princess. This is Helen and I’m going to take her to Cognac. She looks really good in burgundy.”

“Hi, I’m Daphne. Let’s get some burgundy dresses for you to try on.”

Helen was being pulled away by Daphne and wasn’t sure what to do. She found herself in a dressing room with about five dresses. The third one she liked enough to walk out and show it to Daphne. Except it wasn’t Daphne, it was Reese.

“You look lovely.” He said from his chair. “Do you like it?”

“I do.” She said looking at herself in the mirror.

The burgundy silk grew darker until it was black. The wrap around dress was sleeveless and tied on the left side. The dress ended just above her knees and Reese could imagine it a little shorter.

“Princess, I think we need shoes.” Reese said shifting in the chair and trying to focus on anything other than those thighs. Daphne appeared with black three inch heels and his dick throbbed in his pants. He was certain he was receiving a message in Morse code about needing between those thighs. Or the cleavage.

“I’ve got the perfect wrap for you.” Daphne said handing over the shoes and then disappeared. A moment later she reappeared with a black lace triangle wrap.

“We’ll take it.” Reese said. “She’ll wear it out.”

“I can’t afford this.” Helen said in surprise.

“Come here.” Reese commanded softly and Daphne left the small area closing the curtain behind her. Nervously, Helen approached him and he pulled her into his lap. Caressing her cheek, he kissed her lightly.

“When you’re with me, you don’t pay. Anything you want, I’ll get you. Anything you need, is yours.”

“I’ll not be a whore.” She replied quietly.

“No, baby, I want you to be my queen.”

“I’m not queen material.”

“Yes, you are. And I’m going to prove it to you.”
