Chapter 163

KATE

The next morning, I was awakened by a knock on my door. Nathan stood there, shirtless. He looked like he had just taken a shower. How could he be fine? No hangover whatsoever?

"Good morning, princess of perversity," he said before entering my room, passing me.

"What?"

Did that mean he was in a good mood?

"I've come to tell you about my plans for us tonight."

"I can probably guess..."

"Smartass."
He lay down on the bed, putting his arms behind his head, causing his abs to flex. Oh, God!
"I want to spend tonight with you at my cottage in East Hampton," he said.

"But don't you think my dad is here, and I can't leave him alone?"

"I talked to him, and he told me that he sees no problem in staying here. We'll be back tomorrow before he leaves for Texas."

"Wow! You were fast."

"I figured you'd object. You always do."

"And showing up here half naked is part of your plan to convince me, isn't it?"

"I think that's just your perverted mind at work."

"Do you really want to go to the Hamptons today?"

"Why not?"

"You have a strange way of trying to solve things, Nathan."

"Give me a vote of confidence," he said before getting up. "I'll drive. So, we'll leave at five."

"I want to know the reason for this trip."

"Do I need a reason to want to be alone with you?" He got closer.

"Lately, I have no idea what you really want or feel."

"We'll talk when we get there."

"I hope you understand the concept of a conversation. Last time, you remained silent while I talked to myself."

"Get ready and come down for breakfast." He kissed my forehead before leaving.

After saying goodbye to our parents, we were putting things in the car, almost ready to leave.

"Do you really want to drive for over two hours just to spend the night?" I asked.

"I admire your enthusiasm," he replied sarcastically, placing the last piece of luggage in the trunk.

"And I admire your mood swing from one day to the next," I retorted.

"Some days are harder," he shrugged.

At least he was talking.

"Ready?"

I nodded.

"Let's go."

He circled the sporty Audi model to open the door for me.

The journey was pleasant. I was waiting for some change in his mood, but he remained stable. I decided to make the most of it.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Have you ever thought about just asking? It always seems like you're going to ask something terrible when you ask for permission."

"That's because it's a delicate matter. Maybe you don't want to talk about it."

"Just ask, Kate."

"Have you had other submissives besides the one you told me about?"

"Yes."

"How many?"

"Four in total."

"I see."

"Does that bother you?"

"No. It's just... Don't you miss it?"

"The club? No."

"Do you miss doing those things?"

"Why are you asking this? Is it just curiosity, or are you interested?" He glanced at me, taking his eyes off the road for a moment.

"No, I... I don't know, actually. I was just curious, but now that you've mentioned it, maybe there's some interest involved in my curiosity."

"Okay, you've just sparked my imagination. We don't want a traffic accident, do we? We should change the subject."

"I think I'd like to try some things."

"Kate..." He warned.

"Okay. End of topic."

The journey took longer than expected, and it was past seven when we arrived in Springs. The place was beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and you could see the sea from the immense house Nathan called a cottage.

"Wow!"
I was amazed as I got out of the car and looked around the property.
"This place is incredible."
The house had huge glass windows from floor to ceiling.
"I could live here."

"Okay, now get ready for this..." he said from behind me, then he climbed the steps, and all the lights magically turned on.
I was speechless. The place looked even more incredible with the lights revealing the inside of the house.

"Why don't you live here?" I asked indignantly.

"Let's go inside; it's cold. I'll be back to get the luggage in a minute."
I climbed the steps while he held the door open for me.

"This place is truly insane."

The wooden floor shone, and the ceiling was also made of wood, with some details on the white-painted walls.
In the living room, there was a huge white couch, a fireplace, paintings on the walls, some sculptures, and wooden furniture. There was also a simple vertical ladder leading to a room above the living room.

"The bedroom is upstairs," he said.

"Can I go up?"

"Of course. I'll get our things. Just be careful with your head; the ceiling is low."

I climbed the stairs carefully, my butt still a little numb from the trip. The space was small but cozy, with a huge bed and nothing else. There were only two windows in the ceiling, one on each side of the gabled roof. They provided an incredible view of the sky. It was beautiful. The property must have cost a fortune.

"Kate?" He called from below.

"I'm coming down." I felt his hands on my hips as I descended the stairs.

"Did you like the room?"
He hugged me from behind when I finally put my feet on the floor.

"Those windows are magical."

"Good to know you liked it. I'll show you the kitchen, and we'll prepare something to eat."

"Do you come here often?"

"I try to come at least once a year, but it's hard with work. My family comes more frequently."
He picked up the bag with some things he had chosen to cook.

The kitchen was smaller than the living room but fully equipped, with all the cabinets in wood and a marble sink.

"I was serious about living here. It's enchanting."

"I fell in love with the place at first sight, too. Would you like to take a shower while I prepare dinner?" He placed the bag on the counter.

"No, I'd rather help you. What did you plan?"

"Something that wouldn't take much effort to bring and make. I'll owe you a more gourmet meal."

"What is it?"

"Macaroni and cheese." He shrugged. I laughed. It was impressive, considering cooking wasn't his forte.

"That's fine with me."

"But I brought wine."

"Of course you did."
I stood up and sat next to the sink.

Watching Nathan cook was entertaining. He was focused even when making macaroni and cheese.

"Enjoying the show?" he asked, without looking at me.

"Actually, if I had paid, you'd have to be naked."

"I can do that."

"I'd accept if it weren't so cold."

"You can open the wine if you want. I brought more."

"I'm good. "I'm just waiting for you to start the conversation."
I noticed his shoulders tense up.

"It's okay. We'll do it at your own pace."

"Let's eat, and then I'll light up the fireplace and show you the view of the sea."

"I thought you'd go crazy before the weekend."

"What do you mean?" He turned around, staring at me.

"Without sex."

"Who said I didn't?"

"You seem fine."

"If we start this conversation, something tells me I'll end up fucking you against this counter."

"That doesn't sound so bad."

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but let's save it for after the conversation. Now, please, open the wine."

"Okay."

I opened the wine and poured two glasses. He was stirring the macaroni.
"Here." I left his glass on the counter next to the stove.

The tension of being alone in the house made it feel like something was going to explode at any moment, and we'd attack each other and have sex anywhere. I caressed his arm.

"I know what you're doing," he said without looking at me. "I've used up all my self-control this week, baby. For you. You don't see it, but I've been holding myself back every second I've been with you. So if you want to hear what I have to say, don't do that. Because if I start, we won't eat, talk, or see any view. I'll take you to that bed, and we'll spend the next eight hours there."

"We should do those things quickly, then."

"I'll put it in the oven. It'll only take fifteen minutes. You should take a shower before it gets colder. The bathroom is in the smaller cabin next door."

"Okay."
