Chapter 75
KATE
After accompanying my father to Mrs. Berkeley's house, I returned home alone. I had to invent a story to explain about my supposed boyfriend, it was embarrassing. So, it's good that he doesn't show up again. I finish preparing dinner after taking a long bath. My father hasn't arrived yet, it's taking him a while, it's strange for someone who usually has dinner early like him.
Someone clears their throat behind me, giving me a scare, I hold a scream in my throat. I turn around, and Nathan is standing in my kitchen, in my house. Oh my God!
"What the hell are you thinking? You can't come here!" I go to the window, to make sure my father isn't coming.
"I thought I could come for dinner. After all, I told your dad that I'm your boyfriend."
"Are you crazy? You can't enter someone's house like this. Go away before my dad arrives."
"The door was open. Are you cooking?" He asks, looking at my apron.
"I should call the police. It's not a good idea to be here when my dad arrives, Ryan. Especially after I told him that you're a crazy person who's obsessed with me." I take off the apron and place it on the counter, while he laughs.
"Your dad seems like the type of guy who still thinks you're a virgin."
"You didn't understand when I said we have nothing else to talk about?" He approaches, putting his hands on my hips. "What are you doing?" I try to stop him, but he holds my face. My eyes wander between his face and the window, looking for any sign of my father.
"You didn't understand when I said that I want you?"
"I heard, and the answer is still no."
"I'm trying to say that... I'm in love with you." My heart races. What did he say? Am I going crazy? No. He's just saying it to make me come back? How dare he?
"Ryan, this is not going to make me have sex with you. Believe me! It's just going to make me laugh!" He lifts me onto the counter. "No! Are you crazy? Let me go. Damn it! My dad could arrive." He keeps laughing as I try to free myself, in vain.
"You're not a teenager anymore, Collins! What is your dad going to do? Hit you?" He says, his lips so close to mine that it almost makes me lose my train of thought.
"I don't want to give my dad a heart attack. But he wouldn't want to kill me, so go away!"
"I'm not going."
"I'm serious." I step down from the counter, pushing him away.
"I think I'll wait for your dad for dinner." He says as I go to the window once again. I see my dad parking the car.
"Shit!"
"What?"
"He's here."
"Let's do this, promise me you'll come to my room to finish the conversation."
"No."
"Then let's settle this in the presence of your father."
"Okay! Fine! I'll go! Damn it! Get out now!"
"At nine. If you don't show up, I'll come and get you."
"Fine! Go! That door." I indicate the back door. He leaves with a huge smile.
My father enters shortly afterward. I approach to kiss his cheek, still trying to calm my heart.
"There's a car outside. Did someone come by?" He asks.
"No. Well... it must be a guy who came to visit the neighbor. He got the wrong address. I said it was okay to leave the car there." I lie.
"Mrs. Berkley said she'll come to have lunch with us tomorrow."
"Great. Dinner is ready."
He is opening the car door in the parking lot.
"Hey!" I call out as I approach him.
"I was coming to get you," he says, showing me his watch.
"I'm only nine minutes late, Ryan. I thought it would be better to walk."
"Come on," he says, heading towards the entrance of the hotel.
"No, why would I do that?"
"It's cold out here."
"I'm fine."
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm not going to take advantage of you, Collins."
"Are you sure?"
"If you keep irritating me, that might become a possibility."
The idea instantly ignites my imagination. Shit, why is this so exciting? It's completely sick.
"You're a such scumbag," I say as he laughs.
"A scumbag? That's new. Okay. If you don't want to come in, we can stay in the car."
"No. Just tell me what you want."
"You know what I want."
"I already told you, Ryan. I'm not going to sleep with you."
"I'm not just talking about sex, Collins."
"I don't believe you."
"What do you want me to do? I'm willing to try whatever you want."
"You thought I wanted a relationship with you, but you already know that's not going to happen."
"Then what do you want?"
"I want you to leave me alone."
"No. Don't be stupid. You're not leaving, Ryan. I'm not letting you do this!" he says through gritted teeth.
"Do you think you can stop me?"
"Enough! You've gone too far!" he growls before grabbing my arm and pulling me toward the parked cars.
"Let go of me," I say as he tightens his grip, forcing me to follow him. We stop between a few cars, and he presses me against one of them. Holding my face, he rubs his hip against me. "No," I try to push him away.
"You like doing this to me. Seeing me so out of control. I know it because you're just like me. A bitch, but so damn hot," he whispers, holding my neck while rubbing his erection against me, making my body succumb before my reason.
"No."
"You like it hard and love playing hard to get, making me crazy with desire," he bites my lower lip. "You would love it if I fucked you right now. The idea that someone might see us makes you even wetter," his hot breath on my neck drives me crazy. I try to calm my breathing.
"You just need to say yes, and then I'll fuck you hard until you beg me to stop."
"Don't do this to me," I whisper, unable to think straight.
"You don't want to?"
"I..."
"My girl. Only mine," he licks my lips. "Come back to me. I can't be without you."
"Don't do this to me."
"What?"
"You'll hurt me. I know you will. You'll discard me like you did with all the others, you'll get tired of me like you did with Mia. That's why I have to stay away from you."
"Believe me. We can do it your way. For as long as you want. But don't ask me to give up, to accept that we stay apart because I won't do that."
"You know we can't. There are other things between us."
"Fuck it! We can work things out if you want to. You just have to say yes."
"Why are you doing this to me?" He bites his lip and then slides his tongue into my mouth, searching for mine, famished.
"Because I want and need you. Trust me, I'm trusting you to try however you want."
How can I be so weak in front of him? I said it wouldn't happen again. I promised myself when I came here. And now I'm about to give in once again, without caring, even with an emptiness in my chest, I want and desire him with all my strength. He holds my hand, pulling me up to his room.
