Chapter 97
KATE
Meg is standing next to my desk.
"Are you okay?" she asks, sounding alarmed. "He seems a bit agitated."
"He's a huge stupid jerk," I reply.
"What happened?"
"The Pigren project wasn't approved."
"And he took it out on you?"
"Just a little. He didn't let me participate in the meeting."
"As if you would pay attention to anything other than his pants after our lunch conversation," I hold back laughter.
"You guys need to stop."
"Relax, Kate... everyone knows Ryan's policy."
"I know." But you don't know that this policy isn't currently in effect.
"I came to bring the Doller account planning."
"Alright," I squint my eyes, hating the idea of having to go in there again.
"It's not that bad, remember the pants."
"Meg!" We laugh before she leaves.
"Wrong... wrong," he says as he scribbles with his pen.
"I'll return it for them to correct."
"Sure. Of course, you will," he says, genuinely upset. I had no idea that work could affect him this badly.
"You need to relax."
"You want me to relax?" He sarcastically smiles, then rolls his eyes, making me feel like an idiot.
"You don't realize it, but you're a spoiled son of a bitch."
"I don't need to hear anything you have to say."
"You're being such an asshole. Don't act like the world is yours because it's not. Many things in life aren't as we want them to be."
"Collins, I don't want to hear this. You can leave now." I get up, walk to the door and lock it.
"What are you doing?" he asks as I circle his desk, standing behind him.
"Helping you. Even though you're a spoiled jerk, and all I want to do is kick you in the balls," I press my breasts against his neck. I feel him tremble.
"This isn't a good idea," he says, leaving me perplexed. I sit on the edge of the table to his right.
"You just said that sex isn't a good idea? You?"
"I'm not in the right frame of mind for it." Right! It's worse than I thought.
"That's exactly why it will help you relax."
"You know that it's likely that at least one person is watching us right now."
"You didn't care about that on my first day. Remember?" I place his hands on my hips.
"Yeah, I'll never forget what you did. How you ran out of the elevator and left me..."
"Irritated? Like now?"
"I don't want to hurt you."
"Why would you?"
"Kate..."
"Just relax..." I whisper. Seeing him this angry always affected me. I push his chair back slightly and kneel.
"Kate..." he says as I undo his belt and zipper within seconds, skillfully. I'm eager to feel him in my mouth.
Holding his cock, I wonder what the security guards are thinking. But I don't care, and it just shows how reckless I've become, or maybe I trust Nathan too much.
He's already fully hard, and I've barely touched him. I run my thumb over the head. He swallows hard and takes a deep breath.
"Don't stop," he says, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I give his length a lick and then I stand up. "What?" he opens his eyes, tormented. I shrug.
"You're right, it's a terrible idea."
"Are you messing with me?" he asks, bewildered, his breathing heavy.
"No," I say as calmly as possible, loving seeing him furious.
"You're not going to do that."
"I haven't done anything... I barely touched you."
"I'm going to lose my mind with you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Son of a bitch."
"You should thank me."
"For what?"
"I gave you something else to think about."
"Bitch."
"I'm just following your orders, boss. You told me to leave."
NATHAN
Meg is standing in front of Kate's desk. I clear my throat, and both of them look at me.
"Can I talk to you, Collins?"
"Sure," I turn my back to them and head back to my office.
She enters shortly after, closing the door.
"Yes?" I glance at the watch on my wrist. Two minutes left before the end of the workday. "Ryan?"
"Wait..."
"What are you doing?"
"One minute and a half."
"Huh?"
"I have to wait for the workday to end to avoid your excuses that we can't do this or that," she rolls her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest.
"What do you want?"
"I want you to come with me."
"I can't."
"Why not?"
"I made plans with the girls."
"What exactly?"
"A bar."
"You're going to drink?"
"Yeah."
"Again? Are you trying to annoy me?"
"Oh, please. You're being so self-centered."
"Be back by ten. You'll have until ten to gossip with your friends."
"Seriously? Are you trying to tell me what time to come home?"
"You went to a damn party last night..."
"Yeah, and you're going out with your friends on Friday."
"I thought it wouldn't be a problem."
"And it's not."
"It seems like you're making excuses, Collins."
"I was at your place last night," she narrows her eyes.
"Because I came to you."
"I'm just going out for a bit with the girls and... talk about pants," she laughs. "I promised them."
"Pants?" I don't understand. "Listen, by ten, not a minute later."
"Ryan..."
"It's not up for discussion," I approach her, kissing her shoulder, and then I leave. I pass by Megan before entering the elevator.
I park in front of the bar, waiting for her. I still don't see her anywhere. The clock reads five past ten. I wait a few more minutes, and then I see her coming out with the girls, laughing about something. They say their goodbyes, and Kate is left alone.
I pull up the car next to her on the sidewalk, rolling down the window. She leans over the door.
"Hey?" She looks happy, and she's still able to walk. Maybe she didn't drink that much.
"Get in."
"I was thinking of going home and sleeping."
"Get in, Collins."
"I already ordered a taxi."
"Maybe I can give you a ride... if you show me your boobs," I tease. She laughs. "Just a quick peek. It's a tradition." I wink.
"What do you want? I'm not coming to your place tonight. I've been spending enough time there."
"First, get in." She rolls her eyes. "It's late and cold. You're not going to make me leave, right?" She exhales heavily before giving in.
"It's just a ride," she warns before slowly getting in, crossing her amazing legs after she sits and buckles up. Her perfume fills the air.
"I thought I warned you about wearing stockings."
"I'm not going to stop wearing stockings just because you want me to," she shrugs.
"You only wear them to annoy me. Admit it."
"It was cold. Sorry if it hurt your ego."
"How was your outing?"
"Why? Are you going to put on another jealous act?"
"It's just a damn question. But should I?"
"I don't think so. Or maybe yes, if you consider the possibility that Rachel has better skills than yours..." She laughs.
"Who is Rachel?"
"I would be surprised if you knew who she is. She works for you."
"Many people work for me. Did Rachel hit on you?"
"Not exactly, do you care?"
"Are you interested in new experiences?"
"Do you care?"
"I wish I could witness it personally."
"You're a damn pervert."
"And you're tempted to compare me. Just so you know, I care because, in this particular case, I don't want anyone laying their hands on what's mine."
"Idiot."
"I'm not insecure when it comes to my abilities to satisfy you." She laughs.
"What subject are you insecure about?" She sarcastically asks. *Losing you.*
