CHAPTER 26: VICTORIOUS RETURN

After exchanging numbers, the woman didn’t linger much inside the suite that Juan was staying in and left after telling Juan that she will be having dinner with her the next day.

Juanita only smiled and bid the woman goodnight. She was sweating buckets; she had this inkling that the woman was up to no good but she still liked her. Juanita looked at her recent dialed calls and saw the call that was made recently.

The number was saved under an Eve Pope. Since the woman lives in Zlila, Juan searched for Pope and Zlila and the results showed up instantly.

In the end, she regretted searching for the name in the first place and went to comfort herself on the farm and ate some fruits and soaked in the hot springs before sleeping very soundly.

The next day, she woke up, as usual, took a look at the farm, the ranch, the orchard, and the barn. She also received a report from Gem and left the farm.

She received a call from Eve and she met the old lady who was dressed beautifully and looking very dashing for someone her age. The two had breakfast together and Juanita couldn’t stop laughing as Eve told her some funny stories.

Juan was going to leave after breakfast so Eve was just doing her best to see the young one before she leaves.

“When I reach Zlila, I will give you a call,” Juan comforted Eve seeing how sad the other was.

“You better not go back on your word!”

“Trust me, I won’t.”

Juanita packed her bag and under the watchful eye of Eve who escorted her to the parking lot where her small car was parked, she felt warmth in her heart.

“Drive safely and don’t forget to rest!” Eve reminded her and Juan flashed a smile at her.

“I will keep that in mind.”

After receiving some more reminders from Eve, Juan drove off and made her way first to the service station to fill in her tank. When she was done, she hit the road without a care in the world.

Back in the small town, Eve wore a scheming smile as she sat back on her couch and took out her phone to make a phone call.

“Darling, I am safe and sound. It is just that I have found someone whom I really like here!”

The man who was on the other side and worried sick after his wife disappeared couldn’t help but smile sheepishly hearing the excited tone of his wife.

He knew just how worried she was about their son and Eve will do everything to have that hope but their son was just a bit worrisome and a hard nut to crack. He had enough headaches because of him.

If it wasn’t because he knew that she was in that town and safe and sound, he wouldn’t be seated in his office like that.

Eve hearing that her husband was hooked began to tell her husband about Juan and how she met the other. The husband reprimanded Eve for a while before getting back at the topic Juan.

[I will have someone look into this Juan first. If you think that she can be the one and even if it fails, how about you go back to the temple and ask a few questions?]

Eve was very satisfied by her husband’s response so she told him what she had been hiding, “there is no need for me to go back. Before I left the temple, the monk told me that all the answers I seek I will receive before I finish climbing down the stairs. And I did. I think that she is the one but we need to make a favorable impression on her first.”

“Okay, I will be back by tomorrow.”

Even was so happy after telling her husband her plans and when she hangs up, she busied herself with other things.

Juanita had no idea that Eve was planning something and she was involved in it. What was in her thoughts was how to send those packages before she reached Zlila.

So, when she arrived in another town just six hours away from Zlila, she took a detour to the post office and took more than an hour to be done sending her packages.

When she was done, she resumed her journey once more. On her way, she listened to music, ate some snacks, and just be happy. Juanita was happy because of everything that had happened to her.

Her farm had upgraded many levels and the most important thing was that her fruits were about to be harvested and she couldn’t wait to have one and see the effects of it.

Juanita left the town around eight o’clock and by the time she reached Zlila around seven in the evening as she had made several stops on the way.
Juan felt happy as she walked into the apartment, she had left for over two weeks.

The place was a bit dusty but that was something she could handle. So, after entering the house, she went to her bedroom and changed into overalls.
Juanita ate an apple before she started her thorough cleaning.

Even though she had the farm villa and enjoyed living inside, she wasn’t someone who would neglect cleaning her apartment she was paying monthly because of that.

The place wasn’t big but it took her over an hour to finish cleaning the whole place until the air wasn’t dusty and suffocating like before.

With a house clean, she went to cook some food and filled her belly. By the time she went back to her bedroom, it was already around eleven and she was dead tired.

Juanita wanted to be refreshed when she takes that healing fruit, so even though she was anxious to eat it, she decided to go to bed. So, she flashed back into the farm villa and got her well-needed rest.
