CHAPTER 76: LEVEL UP
Juan sat at the stones while admiring the sound of the water as it flowed. The place was peaceful and she loved that peace as that was something she couldn’t get daily.
She looked at the teen who despite having long hair wasn’t fit to be a girl. She was the perfect tomboy type and Juan had this feeling that she will definitely drive a lot of girls crazy once she leaves this mountain.
“You look like a resident here! Do you live here?” Juan asked curiously as she couldn’t find the reason why this girl was here.
The teen girl looked at Juan, her gaze one of scrutinizing and she was on alert and her vigilance against Juan made Juan feel very funny but this was understandable, after all, there were good and bad supernatural in the end.
“Umm, I love here what about you?” the girl asked.
“I am here on a vacation and I am looking for some plant specimens for my farm. Do you know where I can find some?”
The teen girl looked at Juan with shock in her eyes, she could tell that this woman was very dangerous even though she didn’t sense any malicious aura from her. after being in this forest for over a year, she didn’t trust anything that she saw.
“I can help you with that but you have to tell me what you and what you can do?” the girl practically sent her a challenge and Juan who had never shown her abilities to any human being was feeling a bit itchy and didn’t mind showing off a bit.
So, with just a flick, a fire appeared on the tips of her fingers and it grew but Juan wasn’t burning at all.
“That is very cool, I can do that too. I think that the two of us can get along. Follow me,” the young girl said excitedly as she stood up.
Juan took her things and followed the teen girl behind and the two walked for ages and during the time, the teen girl kept on asking her questions which Juan answered patiently.
After some time, they finally arrived at a cave entrance and the teen girl took the lead while Juan followed.
“This is where I live and I am a witch by the way. This thing suddenly came down on me like a hurricane and ………”
The more she listened, the more pity she felt for the young girl. She didn’t ask for this and yet it tormented her until she accepted it and now, she was forced to live like a caveman until she was able to control her powers.
Juan looked at the things in the cave and couldn’t help but get curious, “did you make those?”
She asked as she looked at the bottles filled with strange liquids. Since the teen was a witch, then she was probably proficient in making potions. She wondered if she can get some good things on the way.
“Yes, I did. I have a lot of those. I can give you some,” the teen suggested as she had no use of the potions, they were too many for her.
“Okay, as long as they aren’t deadly, I can get some,” Juan agreed since there was no harm in doing so.
The little girl found a bag from nowhere and began to put the bottles one by one and telling her the names and what they were used for.
She had love potions, healing potions, insect repelling powders, and many others she just couldn’t get. After receiving a lot from her, Juan wasn’t stingy so she took out some water for her and some of that produce.
“When you hungry you can eat these, they are special and will be very helpful to you,” she said with s sincere smile.
This was the first item that the teen saw a supernatural person besides her and from what she saw, her speculations were proven right. Juan was strong, she was able to take things from nowhere. Who else can do that?
“Thank you very much, I will cherish it.”
The two spent some quality time together and since it got late, Juan spent the night in the cave after finishing two rabbits with the girl she still didn’t know her name.
The next day in the morning, the girl took Juan to a valley where the little girl told her that as long as she dived into the lake there, she will be able to find something useful.
Juan trusted the little girl and didn’t think that she will send her to her death, so she bid her goodbye and dived in. When the little girl saw this faith, she was teary.
‘Only if they believed me like this stranger, wouldn’t my life be better than most?’
The teen shook her head and headed back to her cave, it was time to finish this training and return home. She wondered whether anyone was looking for her and if anyone misses her.
Juan dived in and swam deeper; she didn’t know how long she dived in but after a while, she finally came out and landed on dry land. This place was beautiful and magical. It was like one of those magical places you see in wuxia movies or dramas and they just take your breath away.
As she was enjoying the scenery, Gem’s anxious voice sounded in her head. Juan flashed into the farm space and Gem told her some good news, “open the space and suck in the water from the lake. I think we hit it big this time.”
When she heard that, she quickly flashed out and opened space, and sucked some water inside. She didn’t take a lot as that would go against her principles. She began to pluck some plants around as well as stones and sand.
She didn’t take everything she found in that hidden space but picked at least half of it. She spent hours doing the job and when she was done, she flashed back into the space to check if there was any good news for her.
“Is there anything yet?” she asked anxiously as she rubbed her hands.
“It will be over soon, I think that we may have hit a jackpot this time,” Gem happily said.
So, the two stood there as they waited for the system to finish calculating and after a while, the happy notification sounded beautifully in their ears.
[The farm has leveled up to 7, keep up the good work.]
