CHAPTER 33: THE STRANGER

The dinner was harmonious and Julian who found joy in teasing Juan kept on poking the other at the table. Juan could only grit her teeth and glared at the young man.

This exchange was being seen by both Eve and James and they didn’t stop it and simply let the two have fun. How can they not be happy seeing their prodigal son interacting happily with a girl?

This was something he had stopped doing for a long time and they were very worried. They had introduced him to many ladies and hoped that something will happen but it was all for naught.

When the news broke out about the sexual dysfunction, some families even stay away from their family and this troubled them a lot. So, what if they had money, they couldn’t force anyone to be with their son in the end.

After dinner, Juan was happy and thanked Eve for inviting her.

“You can come back when you have time in the future and don’t reject me too,” Eve joked with her as she sends her out of the mansion.

“I will not do that again. I will bring you some spiritual rice next time I see you,” since she liked Eve, she decided to just share her goodies with her.

Eve was surprised and happy at the same time. She had heard about this rice and even ate it once at her friend’s place. It is just that the seller had stopped selling as usual and now it was rare to buy and get the rice.

So, hearing Juan saying that she will bring her some rice, Eve registered it in her head that the girl she had picked wasn’t as simple as she had imagined.

“Then I will be waiting for it patiently,” Eve broke out into a smile as she said that. Why should she refuse something so great like that?

Juanita looked at Julian who was standing there quietly as if he wasn’t there and suddenly felt sad, “I will bring you some tasty water, it is good for your health.”

After saying that she practically ran away as she didn’t want to be questioned further. She had things to do and if she keeps on entertaining Eve and her son, she will be abducted and end up sleeping here.

Juan drove herself back to her apartment in a happy mood. She went into the farm first and dealt with her issues there. When she was done, she went to sleep.
The following day, Juan woke up, did her morning chores as usual. When she was done with her chores, she took out her laptop and visited the Mystic online store where she opened her auction for that day and put the five bags.

She then logged out as the system will take care of everything. When she was done with that, she left her apartment and visited the companies she saw online to get her label printed on the numerous boxes and plastic bags she will be using to package her produce.

She spent the rest of the day running around and when she was done, she returned home. Tired after all that running around, she dropped her body on the couch and just thought of taking a rest.

As she sat there relaxing and thinking about nothing, something completely weird happened while she was in the room. The dimly lit room suddenly went dark and this was a bit freaky especially when the electricity was still there by checking other places nearby.

Juan stood up and began to check around to see what was wrong. She even went to the kitchen where the meter was but everything was okay. This was beginning to become creepy and Juan didn’t like it.

As she was about to go and look for her phone, the lights went on again but the weirdest thing was that a person was sitting on her couch and she didn’t recall calling anyone in or opening the door for anyone.

What the heck was happening again? Juan was scared and wanted to run away, she wanted to flashback into the farm but the thought of exposing this secret made her shiver with fear again.

“You don’t have to overthink about it or be scared. I don’t mean any harm but mean peace,” the soft and velvet voice sounded, Juan had heard voices before that simply entrance anyone by hearing it but this one was heavenly.

It was as if some siren was present in her house and she couldn’t run away from this, so she took some deep breaths and walked to her couch in anxiety and fear.
Now that the lights were on, Juan could see the woman who was sitting comfortably in her house. The woman had shoulder-length black hair that was dark as a raven’s, her eyes were black but enchanting at the same time.

She was just like any other human being out there but the fact that she appeared in her house without her unlocking it, raised some red flags. This stranger in her house was not simple and Juan warned herself to be careful otherwise she won’t be able to see her parents again.

“Just who are you?” Juan asked in a scared tone as she sat on the other side of the couch while maintaining her distance.

The woman turned her face and flashed a smile at Juanita. Juan nearly popped out her eyes as she looked at a face so beautiful, she thought she was a fairy. Her Gem was a beauty but this woman was probably some goddess from heaven.

“I can tell that you are mesmerized and happy to see me but my name is not something you can just get. I am here to get something from you and if I am satisfied, I can answer a few questions for you.”

The stranger sounded a bit cold and scary but Juan was very curious about so many things now that this woman wasn’t showing any signs of causing her any harm.

“What do you want from me?” Juan asked and went straight to the point.

The woman chuckled and looked at Juan with some interest. It was by luck that she came across this child who carried something familiar on her. She wanted to know more about her and get some answers.

It wasn’t every day she finds someone similar to her, it has been thousands of years after all and she was a bit lonely.

“You have something that doesn’t belong to this world on you and I want some water from it. If you give me some water, I will give you something that will help you and aid you to become stronger. You won’t need to worry about hiding your true capabilities or being bullied anymore,” the woman enticingly spoke out her intent to Juan.

Juan was enticed, who didn’t like some power?
