CHAPTER 68: BIRTHDAY BANQUET

Juan was roasted online and they even found her apartment. It was complete chaos and Juan who refused to suffer any defeat was forced to move away from her apartment and moved into the villa that was now under her name.

At least living in the villa was peaceful and there was no drama there. She also didn’t stop investigating the person behind this issue. The story didn’t vanish but went viral and over the head.

Someone even leaked the videos of her acting in the Fantasia crew and how many times she acted wrong. There were even boycotting Fantasia which was left with like two months to hit the cinemas.

It was at this stage that Juan had this strange thought that whoever was behind this was just trying to tarnish her name and stop her from entering the entertainment industry.

After acting in Fantasia, Juan had not taken any job as being in the limelight was just a hustle for her. Julian was helpful and he went all out to find the people behind this fiasco.

Juan didn’t want to deal with the culprit yet as she had a lot of things to do. Since people could recognize her by her countenance, she simply hides it and went to do her things without worry.

Finally, the day she had been anxious about finally arrived. Who cared about what people were saying online? It is not like it was easy to satisfy everyone, as long as the people she cares about were on her side.

Juan felt too much hatred towards the person who tarnished her name like this so before she could retaliate, she decided to return the favor but it was going to take some time before that happened.

She was also sad to see the response or no response from the Fantasia crew. They didn’t even come out to defend her, to even think that Richard had the guts to tell her that the parts she acted may be removed, she could only laugh at herself for her wishful thinking.

Luckily, she was someone who wasn’t interested in being an entertainer, even her follower count had reduced and only around one thousand remained and the blog was filled with so many cusses she didn’t even want to go there.

Juan looked at the flowing purple gown she was wearing; the make-up artists had styled her hair beautifully that she almost failed to recognize herself. She even added a lotus mark between her eyes and it made her look like an immortal.

She wanted to surprise Julian so she strongly refused to let him come and pick her up. When she was done dressing up and looking like a real fairy, she swayed her elegant body out of the villa and went straight to the car that was already parked in the front.

The butler looked at Juan with complicated eyes, when she dresses up, she was truly a fairy, and his heartfelt was complicated. He just prayed that young master Julian will keep on holding onto Juan otherwise they will lose such a fairy.

At the Popes’ mansion, the place was packed with cars, and men and women dressed elegantly were busy mingling as they drank their wines and cocktails.

It was simply a beautiful sight and most of the people present were there to make connections. Some ladies were there to see if they can hook up some rich young master and receive some benefits.

In another corner, a young girl dressed in a red gown looking so beautiful she was attracting everyone’s attention couldn’t but scowl as she stood with her friends.

“What’s eating you?” a girl in emerald green asked worriedly.

“I don’t want to be here at all, why should I dress up for an impotent guy? So, what if he has money? Won't I just be a laughing stock?” the girl in red was so furious when she thought of how her mother had been clamoring about hooking Julian and joining the family.

“If you don’t like him, you don’t have to force yourself,” the girl in green comforted.

“There is no need for her to parade herself in front of him. Don’t you remember how Julian was all over our princess before? He will be the one begging on his knees for her attention!” a girl in hot pick scoffed as she looked at the girl in green with disapproval.

“Umm, that’s how it should be and when he does that, I will ruthlessly reject him!” the girl in red was way over her head and began to fantasize a lot.

She wasn’t the only one thinking about this as many others had the same thoughts even though they wouldn’t reject but agree. So, what if he was impotent? He still has money and that was enough for them.

It was rare for people to marry for love nowadays, as long as there was money then everything was set.

Julian the birthday boy was busy pacing up and down in his bedroom. In his head, he was thinking about Juan and when she will reach the banquet. He had prepared so much for this night and he didn’t want his hard work to be for naught.

“This pacing up and down of yours is about to drive me crazy!” Joel yelled at Julian with his effeminate voice.

Julian glared at his older brother with a scowl on his face, “it’s because you are already married and caught the man of your life. This is my time and Juan is just complicated. What if she turns me down and uses the internet noise as an excuse?”

Joel smiled slyly at his younger brother and tapped his long fingers on the small chair, “your girlfriend is not that simple-minded. If she didn’t want everything, she would have rejected you long ago. Just have more faith in not yourself but the both of you. But remember that the second you pop that question you need to be prepared to accept everything that will come your way. Now ask your question, are you ready for that?”

Joel was a fox, and Julian knew that but he really liked this brother of his. It wasn’t easy for Joel to get his younger husband to marry him. It took a lot of effort, so Julian trusted Joel in that department. At least his advice was very helpful so he took everything Joel said to heart and didn’t dismiss it.

“I am ready for that, I will be calm and wait for her,” Julian finally calmed down and looked at Joel with grateful eyes.
