CHAPTER 55: JOINING THE CREW 4

This made things easier for Juanita as the food cooked by Ruby’s chef was so delicious. Juan got to know about Ruby’s family and it wasn’t near Julian’s. The Pope’s were one of the four pillars of Zlila while Ruby’s family was in the top ten.

To summarize the situation, Ruby was so rich compared to her and in people’s eyes, her befriending Ruby was her honor. Juan was someone who didn’t judge people by what they have but by their inner hearts so she was greatly offended by these people.

After spending a lot of time with the crew, Juan grew as a person and as an actress. This was truly helpful when she didn’t make many N. Gs’ and had the shooting goes smoothly.

Soon three weeks passed and her scenes were all done and it was time for her to leave the crew. Juan had made a lot of memories but she also missed home a lot. She also wanted to go and see her jealous boyfriend who had not come to visit her once which was her fault.

If she kept on letting Julian do whatever he wanted, the young man will surely grow a pair of wings.

On the day she finished, the director threw a farewell party for her and she felt very honored. Dressed in a black dress and flat shoes, Juan was seated between Ruby and Lucy who didn’t stop making things difficult for her and kept her drinking.

Juan could only smile slyly as she felt that everyone was a joke. It will be a miracle if she gets drunk especially with her special physique. How can an immortal like her get drunk easily?

“Girl, what kind of a belly do you have?” Ruby cussed angrily seeing how Juan was still sober despite the many glasses she had gulped down ever since they arrived.

Henry who was watching and enjoying this exchange noted down in his mind that Juan was no simple girl and he shouldn’t cross her or make the other angry. He didn’t want to make his life miserable.

Juan was a beautiful girl and any man would die to press her beneath him. He was in his forties and single and having her will be an advantage but he had seen a side of her that gave him goosebumps and he didn’t want to experience what it will be like for him.

“With a face like mine, if I don’t have any high alcohol tolerance, I will end up places no one will ever imagine,” Juan spoke coldly as her red lips glistened with the wine that she was drinking.

Her cold gaze kissed everyone who was in the room and they couldn’t help but shiver especially the culprit who had tempered with her wine earlier.

“Ha ha ha, that is true. There are so many evil people in the world and they will do anything to take advantage of the weak,” Ruby laughed drunkenly as she admired Juan’s countenance more.

In order to break the awkward atmosphere in the room, Henry also chipped in and the topic finally changed to something else.

“I hope that next time we can work together,” Henry said as he looked at Juan with hope.

Juan looked at the man and chuckled, “I guess we will see about that in the future. After all, I haven’t thought about it yet whether I should enter the industry or stay away from it. I love my freedom more and being at the mercy of others is something that gives me the creeps.”

Hearing Juanita saying that, Henry sighed with disappointment. He knew that it was going to be hard to convince Juan but never thought that she will reject him even like this.

“Jay, you are born for the camera, how about you sign with my studio?” Ruby who didn’t want to part with Juan suggested and everyone looked at Juan waiting to hear her response.

Juan knew that Ruby meant well but as someone with secrets, she didn’t want to be tied down at all. She was someone who will do something when she feels like it and hated being forced. She had just started living her own life and wanted to be free as much as possible.

“If there is something good in the future, I will think about it but as for joining any studios or agencies, I am afraid that is hard for me. Anyway, let’s talk about something else,” Juan rejected once more with a polite smile on her smile.

Ruby was a bit sad knowing that she had been rejected. She was a child who grew up rarely hearing that word and if it had been someone else saying these words, she would have thrown a tantrum but Juan was different and those petty tricks didn’t work on her.

In the end, everyone stopped nagging at Juan and began to talk about good things. Juan finished the tempered glass of wine and excused herself to go to the restroom.

Someone inside the room she had just left immediately smiled and sent a text to someone. Juan smiled coldly as she washed her hands. The second she took the first sip, the notification she had last heard for ages sounded in her head and warned her about the drugs in the wine.

Luckily her body wasn’t like the others so there was no effect on her even when she was drinking but she was very curious about the person who wanted to harm her in such a special way. As she was in the restroom, she wasn’t surprised when she saw a bulky man looking at her lecherous.

“I am going to enjoy defiling you, fairy, I wonder how delicious you taste?” the man lecherously spoke as he looked at her with those disgusting eyes.

“If you come here a bit closer, you will find out,” Juan coyly said as he lured the man closer to her.

The man looking into those alluring eyes and with his misconception that Juan was drugged and wasn’t thinking straight he locked the door and walked confidently to her.

And what he received in return left him stumped in one of the toilets, his body blue-black, and a mess.

“Darling, it seems that I will be giving you a perfect farewell gift. I hope that you will take the lesson seriously and live like a human being,” she coldly murmured as she left the restroom with huge strides.
