CHAPTER 62: RUBY

Juan ended up suffering as her mother chased her around the house for a very long time. It was Randall who felt sorry for his wife in the end and stopped the chaos.

The parents were so happy to see their child and Juan flashed her parents into the villa where the table was already prepared. Pearle and Randall seeing the abundant food at the table didn’t know what to say to Juan.

“Darling, isn’t this food a bit too much for the three of us?” Pearle asked with a worried face as she looked at the food.

Juan hugged her mother’s arm and pulled her to the table before stuffing her into the chair.

“You don’t have to worry about that. I eat a lot and there is also Gem with us. And if there are any leftovers we can eat them over time. Don’t think too much and celebrate with me,” she urged her parents.

“Since you say so then we will just eat without worries,” Pearle was at ease now that Juan had said that.

Randall joined the two women and Gem who had been busy doing her administration work joined the family at the table and the feast began.

As they ate, Juan patiently told her parents how she was able to visit them. She was so excited about the chances they all have to visit each other and see each other frequently.

After the feast, she showed her parents her apartment and the parents were happy to see that she was living well. she also dropped the bomb of her having a boyfriend and her parents were shocked at first before accepting it.

“When you have time, introduce him to us,” Randall said after a while.

“Okay, I will do that.”

Juan spent a great time with her parents and they slept in her villa that night. Juan spent two more days visiting her parents and having dinner with them as if they had not done so in a very long time.

When Juan left, she promised her parents that she will be coming for real on New Year’s Eve so she had things to prepare. Even though she could appear in Sparrow in seconds, she didn’t want people to start thinking too much and label her family as freaks.

Her parents also agreed so Juan was free to do what she wanted for the following days as she prepared herself to go back to Sparrow to spend some quality time with her parents in public.

What Juan never expected was for Ruby to contact her and tell her that she wanted to meet. She was so happy to meet one of her friends as she was getting tired of chatting through the phone.

Seeing that Ruby wanted to meet her, meant that the movie was done shooting and she began to wonder how it was going to look like when it was done. Juan already received her payment so for a while with everything that had been going on around her, she forgot about it.

Ruby sent her the address of a *** club and the time they will meet and she agreed. In order to prepare herself for this particular meeting, Juan had Julian come and take her shopping.

Eve had given her a shopping card that she could swipe in **** mall that belonged to the Popes’ and she had not used it yet so she was itching to get herself some new clothes.

Julian was someone who started enjoying being around his woman even if it means being a carrier bag when she goes shopping.

Because he wanted to make himself stronger and be able to protect such a fantastic woman like Juan, Julian had started throwing away his bad habits and was in the process of starting a business.

It was also one of the reasons why he had not been bothering Juan lately and seeing her would give him some motivation. He drove his sports car and took Juan shopping.

They spent the day buying this and that before he went to her place where she personally cooked a meal for him. He was so happy when she did this and seeing her in the kitchen made his heart race like crazy.

Of course, he didn’t want to see her spending a lot of time in the kitchen as he was afraid that she will hurt herself, so in his mind, he noted it down that he will have nannies to do the jobs and let Juan just relax and have a good time herself.

The next day, around five, Juanita was dressed in a black dress with diamonds embedded in it and it looked very glamorous and a suitable outfit to go clubbing. She wore a pair of heels since she was getting used to them and she didn’t want to look like a hobo when she was around Ruby.

She put on another wig as she didn’t want any trouble again. When she was done putting on the cologne and jewelry, she left her house. She drove her sports car gifted to her by the Popes to the address that Ruby gave her. she quickly found the club and parked her car smoothly.

Beautiful people always get attention so it was easy for her to enter the club and especially after giving Ruby’s name she was kindly escorted to the room where Ruby was.

When Ruby saw Juan who looked so divine in that dress, she didn’t know whether to be jealous or be genuinely happy for this friend of hers, “thank the heavens you are here.”

Juan flashed a smile at Ruby and hugged the girl who smelled nice and wasn’t drowned in that disgusting scent of makeup or cologne. Juan hated that scent a lot and it was another reason why she hated putting on makeup. A natural look was always the best.

“It’s been so long since we met. How are you doing?” Juan excitedly asked as she joined the young girl.

Ruby was so happy seeing the envy looks on those plastic friends' faces of hers and happily introduced Juan to them. Ruby regretted coming all the way to see Ruby, the experience was tormenting but she also learned a lot of things.

She was also able to learn more about Ruby’s social standing and many gossips about Zlila. Who knew that many crazy things were happening daily under her nose?

She heard some juicy news related to the Popes too.

It was a beautiful night and just like always Juan didn’t get drunk even after having a lot and those that wanted to take advantage of her failed miserably.
