CHAPTER 53: JOINING THE CREW 2

Juanita was happy with the arrangements; the hotel wasn’t shabby and so was the room she had been given to live in.

“Just freshen up and we will be joining the crew in twenty minutes. Your scenes will not be shot now so you can spend two days learning from the seniors and see where you should improve,” Richard kindly informed the two.

“Okay, I will be ready in twenty.”

When Richard left, Juan took a look at the room, and seeing the two beds she was relieved as she didn’t need to share the bed with anyone. She didn’t need to do a lot of things so she only drank some water and wiped the makeup off her face.

After twenty minutes, the three left the hotel and headed for the site where the Fantasia crew was already shooting. On their way, Richard told Juan and Gladys about the actors and actresses that had been cast for the movie.

It didn’t take long before they arrived and Juan was amazed by what she saw. The place was full of people and she could hear the director shouting at the actors and she felt sorry for them.

When she arrived, she attracted a lot of attention as everyone knew that Richard and the director were going crazy about casting the fairy that had taken the internet by storm.

So, seeing this graceful young woman who was wearing a cap over her head, they couldn’t help but wonder what made her special for the director to go crazy for her and decided to pick her when they were other people who were suitable for the role?

When Richard arrived, the director who was angry to the fullest after directing
the nth take after so many N. Gs felt better as he saw the person, he had been dying to meet.

“Welcome, welcome…Ahhhh…..I am so happy to finally see you,” the director changed his expression 360 degrees which shocked everyone at the scene.

“The pleasure is all mine, sir,” she politely replied.

“Let’s go and have a chat while these people take five,” the man said before leading her to somewhere private and quiet.

Gladys tagged along as she didn’t trust anyone near Juan, Juan was too beautiful for her own good and she was afraid that these old drivers may take advantage of her.

“I want to thank you once more for coming and agreeing to join this crew. I am Henry………”

Juanita patiently listened to Henry who not only introduced herself but told her more about the movie and the script. She learned a lot from him and she was grateful for his attention.

Finally, Juan went back to where the actors were shooting the movie and one of the production staff offered her a chair to sit on.

Juan didn’t interact much with the people there as her eyes were glued on the seniors who were so good with their jobs that she was in awe. Juan knew nothing when it comes to acting so she studied these people seriously as she was eager to learn and improve.

Henry on the side was also observing Juan and what he saw made him happy. Juanita was a beautiful woman and usually, people with such countenance were very proud and treated themselves very high.

So, seeing that Juanita was serious about everything and didn’t shy away from learning, he knew that he had proven those people 25 percent wrong and that Juanita was going to awe them all.

They stopped at lunch and Juanita received a lunchbox, the food wasn’t that appetizing since it was for people who were concerned with their weight but Juanita who didn’t get fat even after eating a lot, had a bad time getting used to this salad kind of meal.

“You will get used to it, at least you will have some meat once every day,” an unknown actress suddenly spoke to her and Juan looked at her.

She didn’t know the other person at all and she wondered just how long the other person had been acting for her to not recognize her. It wasn’t Juanita’s fault, after all, there were so many 18th tier actors whom a lot of people didn’t know about so it wasn’t serious.

She flashed a smile at the other since this actress didn’t talk to her in a hostile manner, “I don’t think I can get used to this. It must be hard eating something like this, every day.”

Juanita was truly feeling pity for these hardworking men and women, life wasn’t that enjoyable when one couldn’t eat the food you like.

The actress giggled seeing how carefree and approached the fairy was. She had seen the fairy on the internet and just looking at her would make every woman green with envy.

But she was someone who knew that in life things will not always go your way and people weren’t the same. She hated the fairy the first time, the fairy was so beautiful and without doing a single thing she managed to attract everyone and yet she had been working for five years and yet she was still unknown.

With such a background, why should she like the fairy? But now that she saw with her own eyes how different, hardworking the fairy was, she began to like her. at least the fairy knew that she wasn’t capable and was doing her best to learn.

She had seen a lot of flower vases that she was tired of seeing more of them.

“I guess that you will get used to it as time goes on,” she chuckled looking at the frowning fairy.

“I guess I will someone bring me some food then. Anyway, my name is Juan, and you?” Juan decided to exchange names since making a new friend wouldn’t hurt.

“I am Lucy and I am twenty-three years old,” Lucy happily introduced herself after learning Juan’s name.

“It’s nice knowing you Lucy, I hope that we will get along together and give me some pointers as I am lacking in many ways,” Juan humbly said as she sincerely looked at the other.

Lucy didn’t know how to react; this was her first time having someone asking her for something like this. She really like the other so she decided to do her best and offer any help she can. After all, she wasn’t one of the best out there.
