CHAPTER 74: A FIGHT

Juan’s dropping off Julian at school for three days in a row caused a lot of havoc. Some enthusiastic people would wait for Juan to drop off Julian so that they may take a look at her, snap a few photos, and brag on their social media.

After all, those who didn’t Juan at this point will be just a few especially in Zlila. Juan had become a celebrity and several people knew that she has some connection to the Popes’ and seeing the ring on her finger, they didn’t need to be told.

Juan also got along well with Julian’s friends after all food was the best bribe one can give to your close people. The couple even invited the four to their villa and Juan outdid herself.

She liked Julian’s friends a lot but there was something about that female friend of his that didn’t sit well with her. her name is Olivia and she had been playing with Julian for over ten years.

The fact that some girl out there knew her man more than she made her feel suffocated. But as the bigger person, she smiled and welcomed the young girl who was charming and pretty cool on the surface.

Juan used to be a fool before and was blinded by her stupidity and ailments and didn’t observe the people around her. but ever since she received the farm and took that elixir and became an immortal, something she doesn’t brag about anywhere, her intuition was all that she needed.

On that night, Juan busied herself in the kitchen and Olivia joined her. Juan insisted on Olivia just resting with the gang but she insisted and her instance led her to receive a burn mark in the end.

How she got the oil splash on that frail hand of hers, Juan had no idea and didn’t care?

The only thing she could do was call Julian to come and give Olivia a hand while she continues to cook. Seeing Olivia acting like one of those white lotuses, she wondered what was so attractive about her man that this little girl was trying to make her look bad in front of many people.

Juan kept a close eye on Olivia but not in an open way as her eyes were glued to Julian who enjoyed her food. The group of friends talked and Juan listened in while chipping in here and there.

By the time the group left, Juan was no longer in the mood to talk to Julian, so Julian who had no idea what he did wrong had to sleep in the guest room for the night after receiving a cold shoulder.

Juan didn’t even wake up to prepare breakfast and he failed to see her that whole day. When he returned home, she was not there and she was not picking up his calls.

Standing on the porch and smoking, Julian was shrouded in misery. The butler looked at the young master whose brain was like a dud and wished to hit him so that he may be enlightened early.

“Young Master, are you not going to look for her?”

Julian looked at the old man and sighed, “I wish I knew where to find her and what I did wrong. Grandpa, do you have a clue?”

The butler smiled at Julian, happy to see that he wasn’t that stupid and was seeking help, “how about you think about what happened yesterday that might
have made the young mistress sad?”

Was the old man crazy? If he knew, would he be this clueless like this?

“I can’t think of anything; so can you help me?” he begged the old man as he was on the edge of falling.

The butler didn’t know what to do with this stupid young man anymore, “Young master, don’t you think that there is something wrong with your friend Olivia?”
When Julian heard that, he thought that the butler’s head was filled with so much water. How can he ask such a dumb question like that?

“Grandpa, what are you trying to say?”

“Young Master, girls are very sensitive and with the way Olivia was acting, I think that she might have some romantic feelings for you,” the butler slowly explained to Julian who was still confused.

When he heard that, he still couldn’t believe it, “there is no way she is in love with me. If she had been, she should have told me before.”

The butler shook his head and decided not to say a word at all. Some things were very difficult to explain to others so Julian smoked his cigarette and went over the things that happened yesterday and his eyes lit up.

“How can I be such a fool?” he hit his head and realized that he had messed up this time but he couldn’t do anything anymore.

He had to wait for Juan to come back but he needed to placate the angry fish and buying a gift will do.

He called his mother and asked for some advice. Eve suspected that there was a fire in the house and she didn’t want that so she helped willingly and urged her son to do it as soon as possible.

On that day, Julian cooked with the help of the housekeeper and sent apologetic voice notes to Juan and hoped that she will return. As for Juan she had been lounging in Sparrow getting spoiled by her parents and checking on Julian once in a while.

Not wanting to make the issue escalate, she returned home and when she did, she tried her best to ignore him even though her heart was aching. In the end, when the young man apologized on his knees and offered a gift bag, she reluctantly accepted the apology and enjoyed the dinner that Julian helped prepare.

Later in bed, Julian swore with his ancestor’s name that he didn’t know about Olivia and that he will straighten things out and make sure that something like that doesn’t happen again.

Juan was happy about that and decided to leave it to Julian. He wasn’t a fool so he will know what to say and do. That night, Julian ate no meat but sleeping with Juan made him acknowledge the fact that he couldn’t live without her anymore.

If he had known that Olivia could play such small tricks, he shouldn’t have let his friends come to the house. Not that he was leaving his friends for his babe, but he didn’t want his friends sabotaging his relationship with his fiancée.

They should be there for him and when he messes up, they should help him go back to the right path and make things right. They were not supposed to scheme against him and destroy his happiness for their selfish reasons.
