CHAPTER 42: A HAPPY FAMILY

“This is good, this is good!” Pearle kept on repeating these words as she cried with joy while looking at her daughter who had changed drastically from the last time, she saw her.

“Just how did it become like this?” Randall asked excitedly as he scrutinized the young, beautiful lady who was his daughter.

Juan was happy seeing the reaction of her parents. Her illness had affected all of them for years. Even though her parents were over sixty, they look so old but thanks to the water she left for them, that was already changing.

“I managed to upgrade the farm and found a seed that could heal all wounds. I then…….”

Juanita took her time as she explained everything that happened and was patient when her parents asked her questions. This questioning moment lasted for an hour before her parents were finally satisfied with everything.

“So, you are telling me that you are now a….an immortal?” Pearle was so shocked when Juanita narrated that part.

Juan chuckled seeing that shocked expression on her parents’ face.

“Yes, it somehow happened but don’t worry mom and dad, I will be careful. I will become strong enough to protect my beloved ones. I also brought some goodies for you, so don’t stress about it,” Juan tried her best to assure her parents but they were not having it.

“Baby, isn’t this dangerous?” Randall asked worriedly.

“I am not the only one and there are many others like me. I will not grow up being lonely for I will be with you all the way. I will do everything in my power to make you see the world for longer, so please have trust in me once more…ehhhhh!” she pouted as she sulked looking at her parents.

Seeing their daughter like this, the parents decided to leave her for now and talk this between themselves when they go to bed.

“Okay, let’s leave it at this for now. So, show us how the farm is like now,” Pearle spoke excitedly as she reminisced about that beautiful place.

“You will love it, you will see,” Juan was also relieved to see that her parents had conceded for the time being.

Juan took her parents into the farm space and showed them around. Looking at the beautiful villa even though there were only three bedrooms, the place was amazing.

“I have someone I want to introduce you to,” Juan said as she took a seat on the sofa attracting her parents’ attention.

“Who is it?” Pearle the curious one asked as she joined Juan on the sofa.

“Just wait for a second and I will let you meet her,” Juan said as she looked around, “Gem, can you come here for a second.”

This was what she did in her mind as she could communicate with Gem telepathically.

It didn’t take long before Gem flew in shocking the hell out of the two elderlies, “mom and dad, meet Gem, my farm manager. She is a fairy and capable of doing many things.”

She was very proud as she introduced Gem to her parents. After hearing Juan, the two calmed down and began to bombard her with questions. In the end, Juan left the answering to Gem and went to see the ranch and see if she can slaughter another pig or chicken.

Pearle and Randall understood Juanita’s farm much better after sitting down with Gem. They also understood that no harm will come to Juan as long as she is powerful.

If something were to happen, she can still escape to the farm as the farm was fully functioning. When they were done, Juan was done slaughtering the pig and was in the middle of roasting it.

Gem took her place and she returned to her parents’ side, “I guess Gem explained everything to you. It’s still early so I will give you the fruits I prepared for you. You need to stay in the villa for a couple of days and don’t worry about everything. I will look after the house.”

The two had already heard about these fruits so they were not afraid anymore. Juanita gave her parents a fruit each and led them to one of the bedrooms where they could rest.

They will talk more later when their bodies were healthy once more. She watched as they ate the fruits and sat by their side waiting for them to lose their consciousness.

It didn’t take before the two were gone, she checked on them first to see if they were breathing before she locked the door and left. Juanita instructed Gem to give her updates on her parents.

After that, she went to the ranch where she continued roasting her pig. Since it was going to take long for her parents to wake up, Juanita ate her pig with Gem and the two took their time doing it.

She checked on her parents one last time before flashing out of the place. She went to check her room since she had not looked at it ever since she arrived. She went back to the living room and chilled there as she watched a movie.

She then remembered that Julian was waiting for her call after thirty minutes of laughing. She couldn’t help but sigh, she wasn’t a good girlfriend, she couldn’t be blamed for it anyway, she was a bit rusty.

She made a call to Julian who answered her after the first ring and Juan was happy to see that. As she was in a good mood, she talked with Julian for over an hour before she hung up.

She had things to do and talking to Julian all the time wasn’t part of it. While her parents were still blacked out, she moved more produce into the pantry and was sad to see that they didn’t eat much.

She was forced to leave more than 100kg of rice and more boxes of other crops for their consumption. When she was done, she was so tired she flashed back into the farm and went to her bedroom to sleep.

Juanita had a great sleep that night, her parents were with her and she had nothing else to worry about. With everything in order, what troubles would she face?
