CHAPTER 67: EXPOSED

Juan’s life was the same in the new year, she was busy dealing with her two stores as well as doing accounts for her company. Since Haven was a registered company, she should comply with the company's act regulations so that she won’t be troubled by the tax authorities.

Juan visited the consultancy agency she registered with to drop the files with all the purchases invoices incurred during the period the company started operating as well as the sales figures.

Even though the farm can be supplied by her dimensional one, Juan ended up hiring two human beings to help with the farm operations as she couldn’t have these wonderful robots go anywhere.

She also used some money to purchase other times that were needed on the farm and that included seeds and machinery needed to run the farm.

The sales were higher than the purchases but considering the investment she put in the farm, she was nearer to getting her investment back.

After dealing with the accounting issues, Juan spent the rest of her day doing window shopping, and later she returned back to her apartment.

Juan spent the following days not going anywhere but seriously cultivating herself. She was almost done practicing the book she reserved and it was time for her to get another book.

She was now strong, she could fight a group of people, not that she loved violence. She could perform some petty tricks using the qi in her body and this was just wonderful for her.

She had Gem check the barter trade platform and saw that there was nothing for her there. So, she instructed Gem to put some water to exchange for a cultivation manual that can give her skills, it will be better if she can get some fire or water spells to deal with her enemies or protect herself in the future.

Juan was currently in the villa that Julian’s family gave her, she wasn’t living in the villa yet but she usually drops by to check on the place and see if there is something that she should add in or take out.

On this day, Julian was busy planting some flowers she got from the farm and was very serious as she played with the mud. Even the butler in charge of looking after the villa was very surprised to see such a delicate young woman working seriously like that.

People like Juan were not meant for jobs like these but they were meant to be treated like queens, to be served, and not let any suffering fall on them. So, to him, he found that Juan was a rare lady and he liked her more.

Juan wiped her forehead from the sweat and she smiled after seeing that she was now done with the planting. She patted the soil off her hands before looking for the watering can, to finish off her job.

She swiftly watered the plants and straightened her aching back and stretched a little. When she was done, she returned back into the villa and got rid of the dirty overalls first before going in.

She went to take a shower and as she was about to find some clothes to wear, her phone was ringing. She walked towards the bed where she dropped her phone and saw that Julian was calling.

When she answered the phone, her happy expression completely disappeared before she sat on the bed and began to look at what Julian was fussing about.
Juan quickly found herself on the hot search, someone had posted some ugly photos of herself before she was healed. She didn’t know how those people got their hands on her ugly photos but seeing those photos made her heartache.

[INSIDER: The fairy everyone had been clamoring about and worshipping is a fake. Sadly, some people are so shameless to act like fairies when they are nothing but plastics. My question isn’t why she did it and covered it up but how did such a poor girl get the money for the surgery? Doesn’t anyone find this situation a bit fishy?]

There were so many photos that practically expose Juan from her university days till now. Whoever this person was, she or he had outdone himself. Juan calmed herself down and decided to dress up first.

As she dressed, she couldn’t help but ask herself who this enemy of hers was and what exactly did that person want to expose all these painful memories of her?

She was done wearing her clothes when she received another phone call from her mother. Pearle was crying and it wasn’t right. She could hear that her mother was in pain and she wanted to see her as soon as possible.

So, she instructed her to go to the house and she will be there in a jiffy. Juan flashed to Sparrow immediately and prepared some calming tonics for her parents.

When the couple arrived, Pearle broke down and cried her heart out. Juan could only comfort her mother and hope that she will be okay. In the end, Pearle fainted and Juan brought her mom into the villa.

Juan sat with her dad whose wasn’t looking so well especially with how those people dug out everything about their family.

“Dad, I will take care of this and find that person who is behind this. So, cheer up, we have nothing to hide so why should we hide and cower like cowards?”

Randall looked at his confident daughter, they always thought that they put this behind them but who knew that someone would dig out the past and reopen their wounds again.

“Child, your dad is useless. I can’t even protect you,” Randall sadly sighed as he looked at Juan with teary eyes.

“Dad, you and mom are the best. I wouldn’t be the person I am if it wasn’t for you. I owe everything I have to you so don’t look down on yourselves. They messed up with the wrong person and I will find them and teach them that I am not easy to step on.”

Juan spent a great time comforting her father who then later went to join Pearle and watch over her.

Juan’s eyes became cold as she sneered, judging from all these pictures, didn’t this mean that someone close to her and who knew her well was behind this.

She was going to slowly investigate and she didn’t believe that Julian will sit on it and not do anything.
