CHAPTER 52: JOINING THE CREW

Julian spent her following days like a monk, she wasn’t online and available for any reason. She practically stayed in the villa, cultivating like a mad man and condensing her foundation.

When she was hungry, she will cook and fill her stomach and the days quickly passed by just like that. A day before the day she was supposed to be leaving Zlila to join the crew, she flashed back to reality and gave Julian a call.

Since Julian had already closed for the semester, the young man was available all the time so Juan didn’t feel sorry or found it awkward to just drop bombs on him like that.

When Julian received news from Juan that she was done with whatever she was doing, he was happy. Even his friends who were busy playing billiards with him saw the change in him.

“Dude, what is going on with you?” Donald one of his four friends asked him as he sipped his wine.

Julian smiled at his friend with raised eyebrows, “I guess we will be playing later; my girl is back and this man has to go.”

The three friends looked at their friend with different emotions displayed on their faces. When things went sour for Julian, they remained by his side. It wasn’t because of the benefits but they were genuine to him.

After seeing their friend suffering for two years, they only wanted the best for him and this Juan person seemed to be doing that but they have not seen her yet so they couldn’t even judge her. how can they not be worried?

“So, it’s now whores before bros?” Eric teased Julian who was already on his feet preparing himself to leave.

“Umm, she will be leaving tomorrow and I don’t know when I will see her again,” just thinking about that made Julian feel sad again.

In the end, the three friends teased him a bit before letting him go.

“I hope this girl is worth it otherwise…….!” William the quiet and sly one spoke in a cold tone as his eyes narrowed into slits.

The two friends simply shook their heads as they knew William’s character so well. if he doesn’t like someone, that person will surely suffer and they were already used to this.

As for Julian he didn’t drive straight to Juan’s place but first dropped by his apartment to wash up and remove the stench of alcohol since he was drinking a bit. He didn’t want her to smell any other scent on him.

He didn’t forget to take the gifts he bought for her previously and drove to see Juanita.

Juanita welcomed Julian with open arms and accepted the gifts with a smile on her face. She just felt blessed to finally have someone who gave her proper attention like Julian.

Juanita and Julian spent a great time with Julian just chilling on the couch and watching shows. It was just an afternoon of chilling and they parted on good terms.

When he was gone, she checked the gifts and danced happily around the house. Juanita now had several expensive clothes in her wardrobe but she didn’t have a single brand handbag in her wardrobe, so seeing two of them in one go, Juanita wished that Julian was here.

She was going to kiss the young man for his generosity. He also bought her some organic makeup sets, not that she liked using them but since they were here, she didn’t mind using them.

She cultivated again for most of the night and prepared herself early in the morning as she was leaving early in the morning.

She dressed in jeans and sneakers, it was raining and she didn’t want to get cold or have the rain on her. After packing a suitcase, she was ready to leave, so when a knock came on the door, she happily opened it and was swept into a hug by Julian.

She blushed happily as she was happy seeing her man, she just didn’t expect to see an unfamiliar face by his side. She couldn’t help but size up the woman who had come with Julian.

“Darling, this is sister Gladys and she will be your temporary manager for now. I know that I should have told you before but I just wanted to surprise you, I hope that you won’t mind,” Julian quickly explained himself as he was afraid that Juan will misunderstand him.

Surely, after hearing the explanation, Juan smiled politely at the woman as she now knew that she was just a manager and nothing more, “it will be my pleasure working with you. Take care of me sister Gladys.”

Seeing such beauty, Gladys forgave Julian for making her leave her important business to babysit his girlfriend. She had doubted the young man before but now knowing that Juan was the fairy everyone was talking about; she couldn’t wait to brag to her friends.

“The pleasure is all mine.”

Juan brought the two inside and offered Gladys some water to drink while she pulled Julian inside her bedroom where the two made up and exchanged some kisses after Julian told her what was happening with Gladys.

Gladys was busy observing the place and she was shocked to see that the fairy was living in such a simple home but the place was neat and homely so she liked Juan more.

The knowledge that Juan was dating Julian was still being digested but she also didn’t need to be told what those two were currently doing in that room. Luckily, they didn’t take long but came out early and looked very proper.

After that, Julian drove the two to the airport and reluctantly sent them off. In order to pacify Julian, Juan was forced to hug him in public after all she wasn’t having an affair and she wasn’t embarrassed to be seen with Julian in public.

Gladys could only shake her head wondering how much trouble she will be facing in the future when Juan gets famous. Just thinking of managing the scandals was already driving her crazy.

The flight was only for two hours and Juan was welcomed by Richard who took her to the hotel where she will be staying for the duration of the shooting.
