CHAPTER 54: JOINING THE CREW 3

For the next two days, Juan was busy learning from others and at night she would act by herself while looking at the mirror. She also recorded the sessions as she wanted to gauge her emotions and see whether she was doing it okay or not.

Juanita also got to know the rest of the crew and more than half of the actors and actresses present didn’t like her at all.

She once overheard the female lead talking with her assistant and her words really made her want to work hard, “I wonder who her golden sponsor is to be cast in this movie. Some people are just shameless, what is the point of having a pretty face when you know nothing about acting?”

This nasty woman didn’t even care that she was nearby and that she was hearing everything. The gaze she gave her was that of taunting and provoking, it was as if she was declaring war on her but Juanita was not stupid and she was not going to fall for that trick.

Juanita didn’t stop working hard and with the help of Lucy, she learned many things. She felt sorry for Lucy even though she had been acting so hard all these years and yet she was still a background character.

But after talking with Gladys, she began to look at Lucy with utter respect. Lucy was beautiful and if she was restricted like now, didn’t it mean that she had refused those hidden rules and worked hard on her own?

On the other hand, Juan simply told Richard straight away that she wasn’t used to the food and she was going to be providing her own food. The budget was already set and providing a different meal for Juan was something that was against their norm so Juan was left to fend for herself.

Gladys understood Juan’s worry and since Julian had instructed her to follow her lead, she could only bow and make sure that Juan eat the food that she wanted and the revelation was a bit shocking.

Juanita despite being a fairy when it comes to her looks, Juanita was a food lover and she wasn’t picky and ate everything. One thing that left others curious was the fact that for two days they didn’t see her real self.

Juan had been wearing a wig and covered herself prettily as she didn’t want to expose her true self. But on the third day, she was shooting her first scene so she was going to show those people who she really was.

On the third day, Juanita not only shocked the makeup artist but everyone on the crew. They had been doubting whether this person was really the fairy but after seeing that magnificent midnight purple hair that kissed her butt and those beautiful eyes that made her look so alluring and dazzling, they just wanted to fall onto their knees and worship her like a deity.

When she came into Henry’s sight, he took a deep breath, his eyes were twinkling like stars as a young man in love. Juanita scoffed as she looked at the movie queen who had an ugly expression on her face.

She was someone who held grudges and one way or the other she was going to prove to all of them that they were messing with the wrong girl and that she wasn’t just looks but a talented person.

What Juan didn’t expect was that acting was so hard that she N.G a couple of times for her first scene before it was okay. She was sweating buckets already but when she thought of how those people had been mocking her for the past two days, Juan knew that she had to be serious and do her best.

In the end, Juan went into character and portrayed the Talia that Henry and the scriptwriter wanted to see. It was very difficult but she pulled it through. Juanita was so happy that she had a smile on her face.

On that day she did another scene and she was better than the first. What she didn’t know was that when she was busy making a fool of herself, some people who couldn’t stand her had already taken some videos to smear her name in the future.

After a long day of shooting, Juan was so tired she went to the bathroom first for a shower. She opened the shower and didn’t spend a lot of time there and cleaned herself up.

She also ate some fruits while in there as she didn’t want Gladys to be suspicious of her. As for Gladys, she had a secret mission from Julian and at the time Gladys thought that Julian was a pervert and a henpecked boyfriend but as an employee, she could only do what she was instructed.

Juanita had no idea that Gladys live-streamed her time at the site to Julian and even if she knew, it wasn’t like she will do anything to stop it.

Days flew by and those that used to hate Juanita found her charming the more they knew her. the seniors in the industry liked her strong desire to learn more so they began to teach her and help her when she needed some help.

Juanita was also lucky enough to befriend one of the main characters in the movie and the girl was young and very charming. Her name was Ruby and she was just twenty-two years old.

Juanita had seen her somewhere since she wasn’t a movie person. When she was broke, she didn’t have any time for entertainment and this is the reason why she was lacking knowledge of this industry.

It was by chance she befriended the proud Ruby. It wasn’t just Juan who had enemies who schemed against her daily. A week after being with the crew, someone set a trap that nearly took Ruby’s life.

Juan was quick enough to catch Ruby in her arms and save her from having a deathly fall. Of course, the culprit wasn’t found as it was ruled as a mistake and an oil spill.

Juanita could only smile wryly seeing how cruel and vicious people could get to take other people down. After saving Ruby, she began to warm up to her, and just like that she made a new friend.

With two genuine friends with her on the set, Juan’s life was no longer boring but very cheerful. With a queen by their side, Juan and Lucy's acting became better and improved so much Henry was satisfied.

Ruby who came from a good family and also lived in Zlila was happy to befriend Juan and in order to capture the fairy’s heart and keep her by her side, she didn’t mind bringing an extra lunch for Juan.

Because Ruby was spoiled by her family, she brought a crew of her own wherever she went. She liked eating home-cooked food so usually, she brought a chef along.
