CHAPTER 34: ENLIGHTENMENT

“You only need some water and nothing else?” even though she was power-hungry she still needed to be sure of what the other wanted.

Juan knew that this woman knew about her secret farm and there was no need to hide anything here. She can use the water to get something that could be of help to her.

“Umm, the only interesting thing that I want from you is the water. I don’t lack anything,” the woman told her in an assuring tone.

Juan was relieved to hear that so with a thought a 20litres bucket appeared inside the room and the woman smiled at her.

“I knew that you weren’t simple and since you didn’t hesitate to give me this precious water then I will abide by my word and give you something special for your use. You mustn’t be suspicious as there is no harm in what I am giving you but you must make a choice and see if you want to take it or not,” the woman said as she waved her hand and the bucket vanished into thin air.

This act shocked Juan so much seeing how easy this woman acted and made the bucker disappear like that. What was even more shocking was the small bottle that appeared out of thin air once more.

“You must take this after making a choice. You are a special child, and you are on your way to becoming an immortal. It will be a hard path considering the method you are using but if you take this bottle, then everything will be achieved in one go.”

Juan was more shocked hearing this word, what was this woman talking about immortality? Juanita couldn’t understand a single word and only confusion was clouding her.

“What are you talking about?” Juan asked confusingly as she wanted to get some answers from the stranger.

The woman smiled wryly seeing that Juan had no clue about a single thing and this was just infuriating but since she had received something that was of great importance to her, she decided to tell Juan about everything.

“I am going to talk about it once and if you don’t listen then it is not my fault,” the woman warned, and like a rattle drum, Juan nodded her head.

According to this stranger, this world had supernatural beings; there were immortals like the strange woman and her Juan, vampires who were the knights of the dark, demons who were a bit complicated depending on the individual, witches, and wizards, and lastly werewolves.

There were of course many others she didn’t talk about as these were enough for her to get to understand the supernatural world as it is. What Juan had was something that could help her to become an immortal in the end but the process was difficult as there were powerful people out there who can kill her and snatch what she has for their own selfish reasons.

What Juan lacked was the power to protect herself and everyone around her and the strange woman had that power to do so. This is the reason why the woman gave Juan that bottle with the liquid capable of making her into a full immortal.

Juan was shocked to hear from the strange woman that she was already on her way to becoming an immortal, she had no idea how that happened but nothing was that shocking anymore.

After hearing how fierce, cruel, and ruthless some of these supernatural beings were, Juan was scared once more. She had been too careless and if she had not met this merciful and selflessness immortal being, she will be dead without knowing the reason why.

“Now that you know, be careful whenever you do anything. You wouldn’t want to lose a few people or things that you care for because of being reckless,” the woman said as her voice faded.

Juan was still digesting the words that she didn’t see when the stranger disappeared from her house once more. Juan wasn’t worried about the woman at all but the things she had just heard tonight.

She wanted to be stronger but she also couldn’t trust anyone now that she heard about this. The only thing she trusted was her farm space so she flashed back into the farm and a notification was heard.

[An immortal vial had been found. The farm had just upgraded to level 7.]

Juan was shocked as she stood there, the vial even disappeared from her hands and this made her want to cry so bad. The thing was genuine and it was gone just like that. Now she regretted taking it back into the farm space.

Gem found her Master crying on the couch and she found the other so cute, she was here to deliver some good news and it seemed that she was a bit late.

“Master, don’t fret. I come bearing good news,” Gem softly announced and Juan who was in the middle of sobbing stopped immediately and looked at Gem with sparkling eyes.

“Tell me, is there a way to retrieve my elixir?”

Gem smiled and responded, “yes, the elixir is still there but it is just going through some upgrade and it will be ready in twenty-four hours.”

Hearing that Juan was sad now became cheerful, “that is good then. I can now digest the information freely. Help me look into the supernatural while I ponder the issue.”

Gem nodded her head showing that she understood and disappeared. Juanita looked into the farm screen and saw that the elixir was being upgraded and she was at ease once more.

She went to her master bedroom where she sat cross-legged and began to go through the information she received from the strange woman. She didn’t know how long she took digesting the information but by the time she was done, she was truly enlightened.

“It is on a day like this I realize that I am just a frog in a well, I need to be careful and become strong. So, what if I live forever? I will find something from the farm to increase the lifespan of my family and ensure that they won’t suffer any ailments or injustice.”

Juanita went to bed that night with a wide smile on her face, she felt at ease and felt that everything she had gone through was all worth it and it was only a matter of time before she becomes strong enough to fight and protect those that she loves.

It was going to be a beautiful day the next day, she foresaw it.
