CHAPTER 29: I LIKE HER

Juan was in a bad mood ever since Irene came to her house. If she had known that the other will blow up like dynamite, she would have not given the other her home address and not seen her.

But this also was very helpful to her as she learned so many things that made her cough out blood when Irene slammed the door in her face.

Juan felt like a fool for believing these lies for years. At the time when she was at her lowest and wanted to just disappear from the world, Irene walked into her life and lit her world.

Irene showed her the love and gave her so much care, she felt that she was loved and she was just like the other people around there. Even though she was a bit jealous of Irene, she never did anything to harm the other person and supported her in everything she did.

When others mocked her and said hurtful things right to her face, Irene was always there for her and stood up for her. There was even a time when Irene got hurt and spent two days in the hospital after defending her and she got hit by a ball in her place.

Juan always kept that in her mind and vowed to herself that she will walk through fire for Irene if she has to and that mindset had never changed until the time she spent in Irene’s house when she came to Zlila.

She didn’t know what wrong she did to make those two so mad at her and angry at her. When Irene came to her apartment, she felt how angry the other was at her and how fishy she just looked after she saw her face.

She could tell that the other wasn’t happy at all and Juan was curious about that and in the end, the truth hurt like hell and she deeply regretted it.

Irene had lied to her for years and used her vulnerability to her own advantage and at a time when Juan finally wanted to stand on her own two feet and do something for herself, Irene panicked and it ended up like this.

Just like that, the friendship that had lasted for six years came to an end but she didn’t regret ending the relationship. She was very glad that this farm opened her eyes and enlightened her.

And now she was no longer a fool who will cry over something like this.

“I will definitely find some better and genuine friends in the future,” Juan
comforted herself as she knew that if she doesn’t, she will definitely crumble down.

Eve Pope was busy looking through a magazine with a familiar face in it. The model on the cover of this particular magazine was her daughter. Eve was a blessed woman, she had a total of seven children with her husband.

She was ten years old when she first met her husband at a birthday party. At that time, Eve didn’t have any plans or thought of the future of being with her husband.

He was just a big brother she couldn’t get near to as he was way out of her league. Eve grew up not meeting him a lot but at the age of sixteen there something happened that changed everything.

She fell into a scheme of someone, took the wrong glass of juice, and got drugged. She an innocent party who knew nothing about what was happening, woke up in the arms of a young man she didn’t even dare to have a crush on.

She knew that what had happened was completely bad and would harm her so she did the best thing, she ran away and refused to step foot anywhere near him.
But who knew that because of that one crazy night she got pregnant at such a young age?

She didn’t want to trap him with the child so she decided to hide this as much as possible.

Luckily for her, her parents understood what was going on and didn’t go crazy on her. Even though she was young, they didn’t encourage her to get an abortion as children were gifts from God.

What Eve didn’t know was that the young man had been keeping an eye on her and when he learned that the little girl was carrying his child but didn’t use this to trap him, he was satisfied with her.

In the end, Eve ended up grandly marrying her husband. James was a good man and he treated her well. Because of their good relationships, Eve ended up having seven healthy children or not so healthy considering the last-born child who was just a headache to Eve.

Eve and James has four boys and three girls; the oldest being John and around thirty-five years old. He was also the person currently in charge of the family business and James had half retired to spend most of his time with his wife Eve. And he is married with one child who is a boy.

Janet was the second child and first daughter of the family and she is two years younger than John and she is married with two children. The third belongs to the male twins, Jack and Joel who are thirty years old, and Jack is engaged while Joel is gay and married to a footballer husband.

The fifth-place belongs to Joy who is twenty-seven and she became a widow at a young age and her late husband left her a lot of money so she is living a happy life.

The sixth-place belongs to Joy who is twenty-five years old and she is currently a model. Joy is a qualified lawyer but she loves modeling so much so they just let her do what she wanted and she is very popular.

The last-born child and the headache of the family are Julian and he is twenty years old and going to university. This young man used to be lively and outgoing until everything changed around four years ago.

As a mother, she had no idea what her child went through but one thing was for sure, her son Julian had a problem and no doctor could solve it. If the problem didn’t get solved, Eve will never be able to hold her grandson and no ladies in the circle wanted to be with a guy with sexual dysfunction at all.

So, Eve had been visiting temples and anything to seek help for her son and there was no solution until the day she ran into Juanita. Juanita changed everything and Eve who had been dying to find someone for her son truly liked Juanita a lot.
