CHAPTER 81: FINALE

Juan sat there looking at Irene as she kept on pouring her heart and her head was already aching, she was praying that Irene was going to stop anytime soon.

Juan tried her best to be patient as she knew that it wasn’t easy for Irene to do this, Irene was a very proud person and Juan was grateful that Irene had guts and was here.

After a while, Irene was crying and Juan passed a clean hanky to her to wipe her tears and snort. She was reminded of the old days when they were still in university, it was the good old days.

“Irene, I don’t hate you, or do I want to get revenge on you or something. I understand the reason why you did all that and I pity you a lot. It is not easy being born in a family like yours,” she sighed as she sipped her wine before continuing.

“Even though her motives were wrong, you never really mistreated me and I never knew. The fact that I never got to know this during the time I was at my lowest point, I am grateful for that consideration.”

“We are all human beings and we are not perfect, and for that I forgive you. I know that you were involved in that scandal but I never attacked you because you were my friend even though things were bad between us and I prayed that you will not repeat it for I was not going to let you go if it happens again.”

Irene was looking at Juan with teary eyes, she understood what Juan was talking about. She had done a lot of repenting a lot, so she was glad that Juan wasn’t taking things far and was just cool with it.

“So, you forgive me?” Irene sniffed as she looked at Juan with anticipatory eyes.

“Umm, I do so don’t stress much about it and be happy. I want you to return to the person you used to be and not this Irene. Can you do that for me at least?” Juan gave Irene that imploring look and Irene exploded in tears.

Juan was forced to hug Irene and comfort her until she was no longer crying.

“I will do my best; I know that things had been not good between us but I will work hard to make it up to you. Can you give me a chance to repent and be your friend again?” Irene asked in a begging tone.

Juan didn’t know what to think about this question. She forgave Irene because it was pointless for her to hold grudges, she was going to live long, and being mad at a mere mortal was just too low for her.

“Irene, I forgive you but our relationship is going to take some time. Us being friends and close again will depend on how you act and how genuine you are. I don’t want any scheming person in my life again,” Juan coldly responded as she gave no face to Irene.

Irene looked down as she knows that she was in the wrong and that she deserves these cold words that Juan was dropping on her.

“I will show you how changed I am, please just give me a chance!”

Juan looked at that sincere face and smiled. Irene was not fooling her, which is why she was happy and carefree with her right now. If she had slightly lied or tried to scheme against her, Juan will not be in the room anymore.

“I will then, let’s keep in touch in the future then. Now that we have settled this issue, let's have some food. It's not nice drinking on an empty stomach,” Juan smiled at Irene making the room look livelier than before.

The two girls who were in the middle of reuniting enjoyed their food and had a nice chat. It wasn’t as smooth as before but it was better as these two people were now genuine to each other and it wasn’t fake as before.

When all was done, Juan hugged Irene goodbye and drove back to the villa where she visited her parents to have a chat with them. She told them about Irene and they were happy that they worked things out.

“Even though she did you wrong, she is still your friend and was there for you all the way. I hated the fact that you guys fell out with each other but now that things are on the right track, I am glad. Be the bigger person and be happy.”

Juan was happy to know that they always have her back, so after that incident, Juan was at ease and all the burden that had been weighing her down had disappeared.

Later that night, Juan was sleeping in bed with Julian by her side. Juan was practically lying on top of Julian after their love-making session. Because they were just too lazy to go and shower, their bodies were sweaty but they didn’t mind it a bit.

“What are you thinking about?” Julian asked as he traced his finger on her smooth back.

Juan planted a kiss on his chest and lifted her small head, “I am just happy knowing that I have you, my parents, my friends, and your family by my side. At some point I thought that I will live alone when my parents are gone, that was if they leave first before me. I never dreamt of a future like this, so I am just feeling grateful for everything.”

Julian froze for a second before planting a kiss on her head, “we are just the same I guess, I never thought that one day I will be like this, so happy being with someone who loves me for who I am and not what I have. I am happy that my mom was so determined to have you in my life otherwise I would have missed you. Wouldn’t that have been a great loss for me?”

Juan chuckled as she listened to Julian, how can he say such right words to her like that?

“Of course, you would have missed on me. Where else can you find someone like me?” Juan was so narcissistic but Julian was used to it already so he only bites her cheek to teach her a lesson.

“You…….”

Julian didn’t give Juan a chance to complain and simply captured her lips to start another round. Juan happily obliged as she rides on top of Julian, this young man was her greatest blessing. She didn’t know what the future holds but she was looking forward to it.

Life was full of ups and downs, it wasn’t always a smooth ride but when one has faith and perseverance, that goal you always dreamt about, you will fulfill it. As long as you work hard, things will work out for you.

No opportunity will come to you if you don’t stand up on your feet and look for it. It may be there but if you don’t grab it, it will still slip away.

It wasn’t easy for her but wasn’t she fine just now? How pleasing her eternity was going to be?

She was going to keep on working hard, fighting until she succeeds, and be with her beloved ones as long as she can. They will be failures but she was not going to let that stop her from dreaming.

For every successful business, the idea out there started as just a dream and no one was going to stop her from dreaming.
