CHAPTER 32: I AM YOUR WHAT?

At least the young girl wasn’t just seated at home doing nothing but she was taking care of herself and this was something great. Juan and Eve talked for like an hour and during that time, Juan couldn’t stop smiling and laughing.

Who knew that Eve was such a comedian and knew how to make people feel at ease?

“Forgive me darling but my husband and younger son will be joining us for dinner tonight. I hope that you don’t mind,” Eve apologized in a sorry tone but only God knows whether she was sorry or not.

Juan who heard this was not sad by happy as eating with many people was just good and beneficial for the soul, at least the meal won’t be boring and lonely, “it’s okay, the more the merrier.”

Seeing the excited look in Juan’s eyes, Eve was even happier. It didn’t take long before Juan met Eve’s husband. This was the man she had seen online when she searched about the Pope’s family.

The man was in his sixties and yet he looked so young, Juan envied his looks. He was around the same age as her father and yet her dad looked like an old man. She was going to change all that and make them look so young, everyone in that town will die with envy.

“It’s nice finally meeting you, Sir. I have heard so much about you from Auntie,” Juan smiled and sincerely greeted James.

James didn’t see the greed he was used to seeing from other young ladies in Juan’s eyes so he was impressed by Juan and liked her a bit. Of course, he didn’t understand why Juan who used to have scars all of a sudden turned out to be a beauty but this was for the best too.

Knowing his wife’s intentions, he had been a bit worried that Julian will refuse to interact with Juanita as she had those scars but now the young man will surely be hooked.

Juanita had become a beautiful young lady and Julian will surely like her.

“The honor is mine; my wife is always talking about you so I am happy finally meeting you,” James smiled back at the young lady.

James didn’t stay for long but left the two of them in the salon where they were talking and having some fun.

“I need to check up on James, I will be back in a jiffy,” Eve told Juan and she nodded her head to show that she understands.

With Eve gone, Juan was left by herself and she used this time to read through some magazines that were inside. These were the kind she didn’t buy much as she didn’t want to spend her money on unnecessary things.

As she was immersed in her magazine, she felt that she was no longer alone in the room so she lifted her head and was shocked by what she saw.

Juan had seen a lot of beautiful people and handsome guys but this young man who was leaning against the door and looking at her with interest in his eyes, was simply divine and a feast to her eyes.

Juan was someone who appreciates talent and beautiful things and this young man was to her liking. She didn’t even hide her great interest in the young man and this took the young man by surprise.

He didn’t think that this young woman whom his mother was interested in recently would not cower but look at him with stars in her eyes as if she was looking at her favorite snack.

For the first time, Julian wanted to run away but when he thought that this was his house, he decided to thicken his skin and play a tyrant.

“So, you are the young lady whom my mother set her eyes on?” Julian asked smugly as he looked openly at this beautiful girl.

Juan looked at the young man and smiled, she knew that no ordinary person can just waltz in this house so she deduced that he may be Eve’s son and surely it was him.

Eve’s genes were superb, to be able to give birth to such a handsome young man, Juan was entranced and enchanted.

“You can call me Juanita and what is your name?” Juan was calm as she asked Julian his name.

Julian looked at Juan with fascination, even though the other was still looking at him as a snack, he didn’t see any lust or scheming gaze on him. She was different from the other girls and he was starting to like her.

He overheard his mother talking about Juanita and how she wanted her to be his woman. He also knew that this was his mother’s intention and not Juan, so he didn’t dislike her that much.

“I am Julian, the youngest of seven,” he answered her with a smile on his face.

“It must be fun having a slot of siblings. I am an only child and it is boring sometimes,” she sighed sadly.

When she was sad or happy, she didn’t have anyone to share that joy with and it was just frustrating sometimes for her. So, she was envious of those with large and extended families like Julian.

“If you marry me then what I have will be yours,” Julian spoke seriously as he looked at Juan.

Juan choked on her saliva and glared at Julian who was now chuckling making fun of her.

“You mustn’t utter such nonsense like that in the future. Are you trying to drive me away?” Juan was so angry she wanted to pummel this young man into the ground.

Looking at that angry face that looked so cute and funny, Julian felt that coming back and seeing the person he didn’t want to see before was worth it.

So, when Eve came back, she was welcomed by Juan and Julian who were busy chasing each other around like kids. With one glance she could tell that the two were getting along together and her son likes Juan.

The only thing that remained now was to gauge Juan’s feelings for her son and there was also that issue of her son not being to *****. She was on the verge of going crazy but she was going to take it one step at a time.

And she hopes that something will happen.
