CHAPTER 38: PREPARATION

To be honest, Juan never thought that one day such a young fine man would confess his feelings to her. She was used to be the one doing the confessions, having crushes and unrequited love, and yet Julian was in love with her.

It sounded funny but she was so happy that night she found it hard to fall asleep. In the end, Juan was forced to look more into Julian as she wanted to know more about the young man she was trying to date with.

Juan was very disappointed after her search, there weren’t any interesting things but only listed things that she already knew. As someone who knew how rich families worked, she had this inkling that it wasn’t this simple as it seems.

If there was a scandal, it would have probably been wiped clean by them already. Anyway, it wasn’t wise to listen to rumors, seeing with her own eyes was the best.

At this stage, Juan knew that Eve liked her so much to the extent that she wanted to match make her with her son. This made her feel very touched because she remembered that at that time, Juan was still with scars.

Eve wasn’t interested in her looks but in her overall, and this made Juan feel very special and touched. It was also one of the reasons why Juan decided to give Julian a chance.

She could tell that Julian was spoiled to the nines but which parents didn’t spoil their own kids? She didn’t know how Julian was a troublesome kid but she also saw that Julian loves his parents and respected them.

This is the other quality Juan wanted in her partner, if he wasn’t able to respect his own family, how was he going to respect her poor parents? She didn’t want to find a partner who would look down on her and her family.

Juan knew that with the farm, her life had already changed, she was now an immortal, something that she wasn’t going to proudly brag about as she was afraid that those research institutions will probably abduct her and conduct experiments on her.

Juan knew how changed she was, her being an immortal was nothing special as she wasn’t able to even fight against scoundrels. So, what if she could live forever, she didn’t have any strength to fight her enemies.

So, Juan’s goals right now were to work hard, the farm had, upgrade her farm, earn more gems and find something useful in her store that could aid her in her day-to-day life.

Juan was also making a lot of farms thanks to the farm; her two stores were operating as she officially opened her online store to start selling. Selling on the Haven online store was different from Mystic as prices there were cheaper and the products, she was selling on the two platforms were also different.

In order to officially operate the two stores, Juan talked with Gem and since the farm was upgraded, Gem could operate things on the outside while she was inside the dimensional space.

“Just leave everything to me, I will give you reports weekly and operate the two stores. As for those who buy the produce from Haven, I will have the humanoid robots act as representatives and promote one of them to be the manager,” Gem said with a smile on her face.

Juan was relieved to hear this as this made things very easy for her as she could concentrate on other things that could be seen outside and have some free time on her hands.

“Okay then, I will leave it to you then, and if there is any problem just tell me and I will see what I can help with,” Juan smiled as she agreed with Gem.

“Okay then. I have also been looking into the store to see if there is something that you can buy and aid your strength and I found something but it may take a while since there aren’t any gems or a lot of gold coins on hand,” Gem spoke excitedly recalling how she took her time to scourge through the system to find something like this.

Juan’s eye lit up when she heard that. She had been thinking so hard about this and wondering how she can strengthen herself and yet Gem did it and found her solutions to her problem.

Juan was so happy that she scooped Gem in her hands since she was too small to fit in her arms. She gave the little face a lot of smooches and swirled around happily.

Gem seeing her Master happy also giggled along and let Juan be merry as long as she can.

“You are my life saver Gem, tell me more about this.”
Juan finally settled down and listened to Gem as she talked about what she had found.

“There is a barter trade platform in the store and there I found someone selling a cultivation manual and as long as we have any healing fruits on hand we can exchange.”

Hearing this, Juan’s eyes lit up once more. She still has seven healing fruits on hand, she was planning on giving her parents two of the fruits leaving her with five. Before she wanted to sell them at a higher price but now, she changed her mind.

If she can use those remaining fruits to get something advantageous to her, then she was willing to give them out.

“Then go ahead and do it. What more is needed?”

“I have already used the remaining gem to register an account so we can barter trade any day. So, right now, you can either browse or just do the barter trade and see how it will go from then on.”

Juan nodded her head and decided to do the barter trade straight away. She sat on the couch nervously as she watched Gem making the trade. The healing fruit disappeared from her barn storage and seconds later a cultivation manual appeared in another box.

Juan was happy but quickly calmed herself and took it out and began to read it through. This was just a beginner cultivation manual but it was good for her as she was also a noob and lessons were welcomed.

In the end, Juan who had been so excited and couldn’t go to sleep spent her night studying the cultivation manual and benefited a lot from it.
