Chapter 10
Lsabella's pov :
I probably became a temp hired by Kyra as I followed her to deliver medicine to the houses. the Blue Moon Pack clan met their Mr. Jasper's mate again and most of them were admiring my beauty and my kindness.
It was a good experience and my presence has increased among the clan.
Am I benevolent? I don't think all of them know that I came here only to fulfill a secret pact with Jasper.
Perhaps during this time, I can use the authority of the largest clan in the Eastern Continent to make some accommodations for my own clan, but after the two-month period is over, I will leave here.
I returned to Alpha's castle as the sun was setting across the sky, the buildings and plants on the ground were gilded with golden light, and I walked slowly through the sunset, caught up in the beauty of the moment.
In the garden pavilion, I saw an unexpected person, Olivia sitting in the pavilion, she was not followed by any maid.
I wanted to go up and say hello, but then I thought of Jasper, who had gone crazy, and I realized that I should learn from my previous lesson that staying away from Olivia was the best way to avoid getting into trouble.
I backed up slowly, trying to get out of there quietly.
Just then, I caught a slight difference, the earth deep beneath my feet seemed to be shaking slightly.
I didn't understand what was happening for a moment, what was going on?
Without giving me any chance to think, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, and a bad thought flashed through my mind.
Earthquake!
Olivia in the pavilion let out a shriek, originally towards the open area to escape I paused for a second, I can not stand by and watch her being crushed to death in the pavilion.
I had to go back and save her!
I rose up in the air in a flash, transforming my form in the air and landing as a giant wolf.
I jumped to Olivia's side in two steps, grabbed her arm, and dragged her out of the pavilion.
The pavilion collapsed behind me.
"Miss Olivia?" I gently tapped her shoulder and kept calling her name, but she didn't respond.
There were cries for help all around, and I wondered where her doctor was, probably needing to get to Kyra.
A couple of maids came running out of the rubble in a panic: "Miss Olivia!"
I stopped a few of the maids who were already in a panic: "She's here, she just passed out from the shock, can you find her doctor?"
"Yes," one of the maids wiped a tear from her eye: "I'll go find a doctor."
Not knowing much about seeing and saving people and not being able to help much here, I left Alpha's castle and went outside to help save people.
"Xavier!" I used the mind link to contact Xavier who was in Blood Moon Pack: "Did we have an earthquake there?"
"No, Lsabella," Xavier immediately panicked.
"Was there an earthquake in the Blue Moon Pack? Were you hurt?"
"I'm fine, it's good that there's no earthquake in our clan, I'm going to go rescue someone, we'll talk afterward."
I rushed to Kyra's house first to confirm that her family was all right.
"Miss Lsabella? I'm so glad you're okay."
I knelt down and put my arm around a frightened Matthew: "Thank goodness you're not hurt either."
"Alpha's castle is strong, but the clan's own house is not so good, I have to go to rescue people."
I agreed: "That's what I came to see you for."
By the time the rescue was over, it was the latter part of the night. A few bonfires burned in the square, and the wounded and the clansmen were placed.
I stood on the outskirts of the square to rest, I hadn't eaten for over ten hours, but luckily my endurance was good and nothing seemed to be wrong on the surface.
While I was rescuing people I tied my hair into a single ponytail, and my originally satin-soft red hair was stained with ash. The moonlit up the pool, but there was only a dark shadow of me on the water. I so wanted to take a shower after I got back to normal...
"Miss Lsabella! Finally, I found you!" Wyatt came running from the direction of the center of the square, and I remembered that there was Jasper's tent.
"What can I do for you?"
Wyatt hesitantly came over: "Mr. Jasper is angry, you must lower your posture and talk calmly when you see him later."
I didn't understand why Jasper was angry and looking for me at all.
"What's going on?"
"I can only reveal a little something to you: it's about Miss Olivia's fainting, were you the only one present at that time?"
It was really about Olivia again, and I couldn't help but frown: "Hasn't she woken up yet?"
"No."
I subconsciously moved my neck, soon to face the storm, I slightly regret saving her.
The atmosphere in the tent was cold to the core.
I saw Olivia lying on the bed, Jasper standing next to her, with a male doctor and Kyra standing on his side, and Wyatt and Silas on the other side.
Jasper's face was expressionless and his voice was very calm, but I could feel the madness underneath his hidden calm.
"Was Miss Lsabella with Olivia during the earthquake?"
"Yes," I answered truthfully.
"Were you the only one by her side?"
"I think so, I didn't notice anyone else."
"You transformed your form in Alpha's castle?"
Jasper inquired about all the facts of the time, and I suspected that someone had witnessed everything and told Jasper.
"Yes."
"And you tried to kill her?"
I jerked my head up and gazed into Jasper's eyes, and I saw the conviction in his eyes that he believed I would plot Olivia's death.
He both despised me and was convinced that there was something wrong with my character, and my anger flared up.
"She was in the pavilion, I was outside the flower bed, and in a split second I could only react by transforming my form in order to keep her from being crushed to a pulp by the collapsing pavilion, didn't the person who snitched to you tell you that?"
"You're lying!" Silas suddenly stood out: "You bit Olivia on her left shoulder, you wanted to scare Olivia to death and then blame it on the earthquake!"
The person who falsely accused me has jumped out anxiously at this moment, this villain, I should have just bitten him to death in the first place.
"So you watched on the sidelines? You weren't worried at all about Olivia being crushed to death by the pavilion?"
"You!"
"That's enough!" Jasper sat back in the main seat wearily as he rubbed his brow.
"You bit down on her left arm, the nearest tooth mark to her shoulder."
I closed my eyes, I'd had enough of these people who had assumed I was a criminal from the start, and although they were interrogating me, they might as well have been forcing me to confess.
"And then what?" I shouted at Jasper, "If you have an answer in your heart, just say it! If you want to identify me as the culprit, just say so! It's all up to you here anyway!"
Jasper left his seat and took a few steps down to grab me by the neck: "You're looking for death!"
My back hit the pillar behind me, and I couldn't control my expression in pain.
There were a few shouts from behind me, and now I couldn't care less about the others.
I grabbed Jasper's collar and glared at him like he was crazy: "The reason I answer every question you ask in the affirmative is because in your heart you don't trust me at all! If your ultimate goal is to kill me, then do it! I will curse your pack forever by the side of the Moon Goddess!"
The loss of control in Jasper's eyes dissipated a bit, and as soon as he let go of my hand, my previous exertion caused my steps to be a bit weak, and I didn't stand still, stumbling to the ground on my knees.
He suddenly gave another sneer as he dragged me over to Olivia's bed: "I'm going to ask you one last time, have you thought about killing her?!"
"I thought about it! I'm crazy! I had to scare her to death instead of waiting for her to be crushed by the pavilion! That Silas is an idiot and it's hilarious that you keep him as your Gamma!"
Jasper was about to get mad at me: "Then you're going to stay here on your knees until Olivia wakes up. No food or water, and anyone who dares to talk to her will kneel together."
I held the edge of the bed and stared at Jasper, I wanted to tear him apart right here and now if I could.
"What?" He sneered, "If you don't want to kneel, wait for me to step on your pack!"
With all the resentment and anger that I couldn't let out right now, I knelt down.
I had a little hope in Jasper before, now I believe he is a complete madman, he did not even give me the most basic trust.
I was returning to Alpha's castle after a busy day with Kyra, then I met Olivia and the earthquake, and I followed Kyra until the latter part of the night after saving her, which amounted to a day and a night of running, and now I was punished with kneeling and forbidden to drink and eat.
I knew I could hold it together, even with enough hate in my chest to keep me going until Olivia woke up.
Jasper's pov.
I had just finished my patrol out and was on my way back to the castle when I got a report from Wyatt: "We have the possibility of an earthquake at Blue Moon Pack today, and an early warning needs to be approved by you."
It was almost the end of the day before reporting to me? How come the Gamma around me are worse than one another.
"Why are you only telling me now? Alert immediately!"
"Sorry, it's because the Elder Prophecy was...no, it's my problem, I'm very sorry, I'll go to the warning right away."
Just a moment after the phone hung up, I sensed an abnormality in the earth, damn, is it already too late?
Luckily, the earthquake was smaller, the Blue Moon Pack didn't have much damage, and there were no rogue's taking advantage of the situation.
But the number of rogue attacks has really decreased recently. I wonder if they are plotting something big.
I sat in front of Olivia's bed. She was probably the biggest victim of the earthquake, and my heart ached as I looked at her haggard face.
But what gave me the most peace was the mad Lsabella, who was roaring like crazy as if she had suffered a great insult.
No one in the entire East Continent has ever dared to contradict me like this.
Who gave her the guts to go crazy like that? It should be me, and I knew that no matter what my purpose was, the end result would be that I was indulging her.
In a scenario where everyone else would have been executed, she was just punished by kneeling.
Declan and Wyatt were both called into my office, and I was now completely calm, there was indeed a lot of fishy stuff going on in this case.
"Why was Olivia alone in that booth at that time?"
"According to the maids' account at that time Olivia asked them to fetch refreshments and clothes, but both of them met with some unexpected things tripped up, and by the time the earthquake happened it was too late to rush back."
"The two maids were arranged to free up manpower to stay by Olivia's side to protect her, so why did both of them encounter something unexpected?"
Declan and Wyatt exchanged glances.
"You suspect..."
"Go down and check, not only Lsabella, but Charlotte, Silas, and so on, and report back to me as soon as possible."
"Yes, sir."
Lsabella's pov :
Finally, at a point where my sanity could no longer tell what day it was, Olivia woke up languidly.
Jasper rushed to the bed and took Olivia's hand in his, "How are you feeling?"
"I feel fine like I've been asleep for a long time."
"So...do you remember what happened then?"
"I remember," Olivia slowly spoke the truth in a weak voice: "It was Miss Lsabella who saved me, otherwise I wouldn't have seen you... Where is Miss Lsabella now? "
I supported the ground with my hands and slowly stood up. Ignoring the voices behind me, I limped out of the tent.
"Miss Lsabella?" Wyatt caught up with me and tried to help me.
"Get lost." I glared at him, I didn't want to see anyone from the Blue Moon Pack right now.
The people outside the door saw me and consciously parted a path. I was the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack, and I straightened my spine, my eyes sweeping coldly over every inquiring face.
The sunlight fell harshly on my face, and I was about to lose my stability.
Suddenly I felt alone, I was really alone here, I fainted and didn't know who to ask to take me back to my room.
The blinding sunlight made my mind even more confused and I felt a wave of dizziness.
Just as I was about to fall to the ground, a strong arm wrapped around me.
Jasper held me in his arms, and I seemed to catch a hint of panic in his eyes: "Why don't you explain?"
But how could I? I struggled to grab his collar, but couldn't make it work.
"Because you wouldn't believe it." I zapped him in the heart word by word, and I felt it didn't matter because he didn't care about that.
I blacked out and passed out completely.
