Chapter 73

Xavier's pov.
I had everything ready, dressed, venue confirmed, process checked, but I wasn't allowed to check on my bride's current status, what was she getting ready for now? Is she awake if she's up so early? Do you need my help?
"How can you meet the bride now?" Brielle reassured me as I paced back and forth in front of Lsabella's room, "If you're too idle, go on patrol and don't be late for the ceremony."
Of course I didn't have the heart to go on patrol, I was just a little bit nervous, once I envisioned that I would have the happiness of Lsabella standing beside me afterwards, my heartstrings would tremble at this moment and I would be in an uncontrollable excitement.
Maybe it's because I didn't dare to imagine anything in the past, even after I had already communicated with Lsabella, I would still feel nervous once in a while.
I didn't expect that I would feel uncontrollable mood swings until the moment of the wedding.
But how could I calm down at such a time? I was about to have my wedding ceremony with Lsabella, a luxury I rarely dared to touch in my fantasies and dreams, not only would I be able to stay by Lsabella's side all the time, I would be the closest person to her, a presence that no one could replace from now on.
This matter is actually more significant to me personally than getting the Moonstone, or the success of the ritual and repelling the United Army, although Lsabella is dedicating her entire life to the Blood Moon Pack, but I am dedicating my entire life to her, so her wish is my wish. The reason why I try to promote the above things happen is to be able to achieve the final purpose: Lsabella can forget all this annoying things, and then make a place in the heart, I will live in it for the rest of my life.
Today is the day my long wish began to come true, I am about to hold Lsabella's hand and announce in front of our clan that we have become husband and wife, and we are the new couple blessed by Moon Goddess.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but speed up my steps back and forth, and although I was able to suppress my urge to push the door into Lsabella as soon as I could, I couldn't hide my excitement.
"Mr. Xavier?" Brielle finally looked away, "Or you can go to the lounge, there's no way Miss Lsabella won't know if you're in the way, but there's no need for her to worry about what's going on here."
It's a good thing that there is a reliable one like Brielle among the Blood Moon Pack principals, who can play a key role when neither Lsabella nor I can step in.
I thought she had a point. I stared hard at the door, took another look, and then turned back to the lounge, telling myself I needed to be patient and wait for the bride to finish her costume.
Lsabella's pov :
Brielle pushed her way in, and she told me that Xavier, the silly boy, was finally willing to go sit in the lounge for a while.
"Your father waited anxiously for your mother like this outside the door at first, when he had invited other guests from the wolf pack, but he didn't have the heart for that, he was only thinking about his Luna."
Brielle stood behind me, she bent her knees to be level with me in the mirror, and I saw the tenderness in her eyes.
This was the first time Brielle had talked about my parents, and the shared negative impressions of the disaster had us both avoiding the issues as much as possible.
But it was different now, it was my newlywed day, the Moonstone had been successfully activated, and we had won the war and secured the benefits of reality for the Blood Moon Pack, and we were both slowly being able to reconcile with the past.
"You look a lot like your mother, especially when you smile, you're a carbon copy of her."
"Really?"
"Yes, I won't forget it, but then again you have the temperament of your father, you are the perfect combination of the two of them."
I had finished my makeup now, and I looked through the mirror held up by the maid of honor, trying to imagine my mother through my face.
Sadly, I had no pictures of my parents, they had all been burned away by the war that had stretched across Blood Moon Pack territory ten years ago, leaving me with nothing.
I gently ran my fingertips across my cheeks, feeling a strange strangeness to the face in the mirror, perhaps my mother looked at herself in the mirror with such surprise, and then looked forward to her groom taking her hand and living happily ever after with him...
Brielle noticed the change in my expression, she came around to my side and squatted down, taking my hands in hers.
"Although I do not have any blood relationship with you, but I am considered older in Blood Moon Pack, I watched you grow up. Let me send you to Xavier's side today, and I'll hold your hand and walk you through this journey."
Brielle's words healed my heart as much as the warmth of her palm, and it was as if I was ushering in a chapter of my own happy life, with all the love pouring into me, and the hurdle we crossed together ten years ago.
I was red-eyed and had to take into account the makeup I had just put on, there was no way to cry freely at this point in time.
"It's my fault for bringing you to tears."
Brielle looked at the maids again: "What else is there that you haven't dressed up, hurry up, and I won't keep you here any longer."
Brielle got up to leave, but I grabbed her hand: "How can you call it a delay, I'm almost done dressing up."
I said I looked at the maids next to me, they understood my meaning, one of them stood out: "Miss dress is indeed only missing jewelry."
Brielle indulged my request as she took the crown handed to her by the maid and gently helped me put it on.
There was also the necklace, the earrings, and the ring that arrived later, all of which were set with pieces of moonstone that gave off a soft glow even in daylight.
I was illuminated by the moonlight.
This time it was Brielle's turn to be red-eyed. She covered her mouth and looked at me with surprise and emotion in her eyes.
"You are so beautiful." Brielle let out her exclamation, "This is the miracle of Moon Goddess."
I was also attracted to myself in the mirror. The jewel was really the strawberry on the cake that could light up my appearance.
"Do you think...Xavier will like it? What kind of me would he most like to see?"
Xavier hadn't seen my wedding dress or outfit, and I suddenly had a little hesitation. What would he prefer to see on such an important occasion?
"As long as it is you he will like, I guess he will not be able to move his eyes after seeing you, our sensible and calm Mr. Beta but always will be silly here Miss, I have begun to look forward to his expression."
Two flushes slowly appeared on my fair face, and I had the image of Xavier gazing at me lost in thought in my head, and even though we knew each other very well, I pursed the corners of my mouth to hide my smile at this point.
"Really?"
My voice was not loud, as if I wanted both an affirmative answer and to hide the fact that I was asking such a question.
Brielle took my arm and brought me up. A smile piled up on her face, she also seemed to be experiencing the happiest thing in the world: "It's almost time, I'll accompany you to the scene, and then you'll know everything."
